AreaFada2: Sadly, it's not that simple. Nobody is born wicked or raised wicked by their parents. What affects some people's minds to the point of committing acts they themselves know is inhuman and utterly disgusting? While at the same appearing like a nice uncle /aunty, dad/mum, brother, nephew, niece, sister, co-worker, etc. Some people just loose ability to empathise, to feel for others, etc. It's a mental conditioning. While we might scream burn them, kill them, my point is how we can get to track and maybe re-condition potential killers, rapists, ritualists and others out there and save many innocent people.
Even if you melt a killer alive in conc acid, their victims will never come back. So prevent people falling victim in the first place. First do you believe in things like the existence of the devil, demon spirits,... from your post i dont think you do. You assume those who are behind it just got up and decided to look for any particular victim. Let me repeat again they are not mentally disturb, yes they are wicked and have sold their soul to the devil, it is their choice. The unborn child which i suspect would be be used for sacrifice, i can not say specifically what nature of favour this children of Satan are seeking from the demon world. But as children of God we should always cover our self with the blood of Jesus, may you and your children never know how wicked a world we live in. For those expecting our deep traditional institutions to speak out, well often their silence is enough for any deep thinking God Fearing Nigerian to worry... No wonder nothing seems to work from electricity, availability of water etc... I pray one day this persistent terrible evil will be a thing of the past in Nigeria. RIP to the victims, what Nigeria owe them is justice and may they get justice in Jesus name. May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, that would not have allowed the death (sacrifice) of Isaac but accepted the sacrifice of the Ram, bring confusion into their camp and reveal them and those that sponsored them in Jesus name i pray. |

AreaFada2: The FG needs to declare a state of emergency on mental health.
Lots of psychos and mentally infirm people roaming about. This is not case of psychos or mentally sick people, this is just a case of wickedness of the highest order. Those that committed this crime have no human feelings whatsoever, they have sold their soul to demon spirits. |

freeborn76: Awesome point! Thank you Nothing is really awesome about his post... if you understand the bible verse Luke 16:10... (well this madness is in 2016)if with all the little via the 13% derivation, NDDC, Niger Delta Ministry, Amnesty, Royalties, etc. the Niger delta region is yet to justify these amount of money by any evidence of meaningful development, let me tell you by the time Niger Delta is given 100% resource control it might just turn into another South Sudan, and by the time time inter wars and local/community war lords fighting for oil control, numerous illegal oil bunkering activities going on, before they wake up from their self inflicted slumber they would have realised that the world has moved on from oil dependence to alternative and eco friendly sources of energy. Nations like Japan, Israel did not achieve their economic and developmental breakthrough because of ownership of oil blocks.... what a nation need simply are hard working citizens, leaders with vision and environment where ideas are encouraged and voila we will create our Japan or Israel in Africa. Oil has largely been a curse... |

Sometimes the Zebra crossing are so faded that you would need a magnifying glass to be able to view the sign. The government should know the live of every Nigerian is priceless. |

Nature129: Is that old man at Aso Rock on weed? Niger Delta Avengers are talking about having a sovereign country and he's talking about implementing Yara'dua's agreement.
Those guys are sad because GEJ lost his election. Northerners used Boko Haram to ruin GEJ administration, the Avengers are paying him back in their own coins. Sadly, if Niger Delta Avengers continue to blow up pipelines at the rate they are, in 2 months' time, Nigeria may crumble - take it or leave it.
IMO, the only person that can calm those guys down is GEJ. I learnt that any Niger Deltan who doesn't support this cause is considered an enemy of the struggle. Buhari MUST beg GEJ or risk ruining this country.
The Nigeria state has not been fair to that region. You take the lion's share from them and give them crumbs. For those asking what they did with the 13% derivation money given to them, they should also answer what Nigeria has done with the 87% they kept.
If Niger Delta becomes a country tomorrow, it will definitely be among the richest countries in the world and will be the envy of all Nigerians. Even with its vast amount of oil wealth even Saudi Arabia or iraq are not the envy of the world. Let the truth be told this Devil Excreta called crude oil has the tendency to make a nation and its citizen lazy and docile. I once had an interesting conversation with a manager in an oil company as to how google was more valuable than Exxon Mobil, the manager could not understand how a software company could be richer than the almighty Mobil... The world is moving on to alternative energies, in a few more years petrol and diesel cars would be a thing of the past in Europe and USA. The real wealth which is sustainable lies in the ideas that the citizens of a nations can generate... The secret of Israel greatness lies in the understanding that "Ideas rule the world". Oil has made us lazy and it falls within one of the 7 deadly sins that Ghandi warned us of "Wealth without Work is a sin"... Oil money is thus wealth without work.... I will rather work and be wealthy than to be lazy and be wealthy. God Bless Nigeria! |

Politics › Re: FG Returns Petrol Subsidy, Retains Official Pump Prices by TheAlchemist: 8:07pm On Apr 03, 2016 |
bejeiodus: The government needs to be fastidious in its policies. You can't say no to subsidy today, and yes to subsidy tomorrow. Such policy swing only erodes citizens' confidence in the government. Absolute deregulation is all we need to make queues a forgotten sight at our gas stations. It has never worked with subsidy payment and it will never work. In all of these, one thing I have observed is that there are problems afflicting the country that seem to defy all solutions no matter who is in charge. Obasanjo could not fix the power and oil sectors despite being the Minister of Petroleum for eight years. All the brilliant minds he appointed to head the power ministry also failed woefully. Who can forget how Bola Ige was moved to the justice ministry to save him from humiliation when the cabals in the power sector nearly ate him up? Same thing happened under GEJ. I don't know if these sectors are 'accursed' or it is just plain human failings. Because I find it hard to believe that Kachiukwu and Raji Fashola, two brilliant minds, could be at their wits end over what to do about the energy and power crises. For those who disagree, I am only thinking aloud. Brilliant minds deliver result, when they see obvious impediments to their performance, they choose the path of honour by resigning! Fashola and Kachiukwu are obviously over rated! |
