Kastonkastroll:Don't mind those people. They'll always want to paint a bad image of anything they don't like. That has been their tactics ever since. They're masters at showing only one side of the coin. ![]() |
Kobojunkie:1. Going by the context of what op said. One can deduce he's after a romantic that will ultimately turn relationship. That's not what God wants. He can't say there is no female he talks with in his neighborhood, or female church members that call him brother and likes being around him. Of course, there is. And he might even be good friends with a few. They didn't add or remove anything from the teachings of the bible. They never told him the rule is in the bible. It's just a guiding rule separate on its own, to help people follow the path of holiness. Which is what God wants us to do. Okay, do you know it's possible that the op would have had an insanely high immorality score at his age if not for the rule. 2. No. His faith is not in doctrine and traditions, but in God. He wouldn't even be in the church in the first place, and won't observe those rules if not that he's trying to obey him maker. It was his faith in Him that brought and kept him in church for 35yrs. If not he would have left long ago because the church won't do anything. As for the verse you quoted. Christ was talking about traditions of men that has almost no bearing with God's will. It's not in the same category with the one the op talks of. 3. Again, they didn't insert anything to God's commandment. God said we shouldn't engage in unholy affair with the opposite sex, and their rule said the man should not get the chance of getting involved in such affair. For the fear that he might fall into sin. How does this two rules conflict again? It just seems like the op is not enjoying what he's got. Maybe the desire to feel among and join the crowd is slowly getting at him |
Kobojunkie:I don't see how not being in a romantic relationship is against God, nor voids ones faith in God. This particular doctrine is to guide and guard him from straying into the ways of the world. Which is still in alignment with keeping God's flock. His faith for 35yrs is not in vain for I assume he kept to the doctrine to please God, as the he's not under any church surveillance. Though I'll fault him if he's doing it for man all along, which I doubt. He's not actually waiting for men to do anything, he's just not ready to marry all the while. Everything has a procedure, which he said he already started the process. As for the genesis you quoted. It's still in line with the whole thing. It didn't say he should go and start a romantic relationship, or leave his people to cling to a girlfriend. He will soon leave his parents to cling to his wife, when he marries. |
stonemasonn:Church is not against him socializing, the church itself can even be classified as a social group, with other subgroups inside it. Infact deeper life people can socialize very well if he himself is willing to. I know because I had two as my girlfriend during school days and they make good and loyal companion from my experience. I agree with the bolded, but most times the lines doesn't fall in right places for that to happen. But now he's already making moves to marry. Is it not best he upheld his faith to the finish. There's nothing in this relationship thing, and he's even too old for relationships ![]() |
Lordbinsmar:He likely wouldn't even get to 37. He's already making moves to get married. He thinks relationship will make him happier and complete. Sadly, he's wrong on that. |
Kobojunkie:I don't think God will view the level of relationship he's seeking as a good thing. I don't see anything wrong in his life. I think he's just not aware of the advantages therein. How can he hold out for 35yrs only to yield at the last minute. He should stop feeling like he's missing and start enjoying what he's got |
osazsky:I don't know how they work it in his church, but I believe he must have been observing and make inquiries of the said girl. This serves almost the same purpose as courtship. So long as he takes his time do his findings and the church does their part in making sure the lady is sexually and emotionally fit for him. |
Verysmart101:I never explicitly said so. But since you asked. Relationship is the root, sin is the branches, and destruction is the fruit. I hope you understand ![]() |
TheRedpillguy:Exactly. But sadly, he doesn't know. He thinks he's missing. I wish I can change places with the op on this particular aspect. ![]() |
stonemasonn:That which he seeks is not worth that which he will have to give up. He's not missing anything by being in a relationship. Besides, he will soon enter that relationship that will now be labeled as marriage. Just in about two years or less. Having sex and confessing sweet nonsense to someone is not what I think someone should be missing. He's on the right and precious path. He'd better not stray to align with worthless societal expectations. |
sijibomi33:If I were you. I'll stick to what I've always lived by. There's nothing in relationship that is worth going against your faith. Las las, you will marry in a couple of years, so don't stray at this last minute. It'd have been a different issue if it was your finance that is suffering. Me sef dey wish I could go back to my churchy days and you want to troway your own because of relationship that will only give you pussy and take your rest of mind |
Gosj001:6s 40k |
saint2ace:I like the phone. I have 30k |
Layormiii:I have, but I'm not in Lagos |
With this. I see heavy population reduction coming |
headboyprince:No. Not for now |
HeliosHay: |
HeliosHay:Boss, can I get your take on the question I asked above |
You've got nice clothes. But you stay too far away for me to be sure the sizes will fit |
FrankGenius79:If you can join the construction industry, maybe learn material/cost estimation. Na you go dey run from travel. Talking from experience |
Yommychrz:Most of these enhanced diseases won't have got Africa if not for the whites. Africans have always had natural ways to treat their illnesses and they survived fine. As for technology. That one has always been a two edged sword. I'm a techy though ![]() |
Yommychrz:How were we living before they came? The whites only brought us many troubles, and we still thank them for the few solutions, they used to garnish the shipload of troubles they created. ![]() |
I have a book idea that is certain to sell, but my fear is that it may not see the light if it's published under unknown author. I plan to write the book, then contact a popular author in the niche with a similar book. Tell him about the book and strike a deal to publish it under his name for a 50-50 revenue split. Has anyone ever done something similar, and is this even as possible as I think it is? ![]() |

olaboy33:How can the future look good when it is female. Or haven't you heard the future is FEMALE? ![]() |
Why is there a driver in the vehicle and it seems the engine is also running. ![]() |
Kimjongun:More reason they become less appealing as they make money. A man will always prefer a natural woman for keeps (even though she's ugly), than the over enhanced and denatured rich lady. It just feels like romancing with a heap of cosmetics. ![]() Kimjongun:Why do you think so? Why threaten me with ugliness? A feminine ugly lady is far more appealing to me than a masculine independent lady. You should understand this. Kimjongun:This being true. She shouldn't find it hard to switch to her feminine self when she's with her man. But this is hardly the case. Reason being they've lost it entirely, and those who haven't wouldn't care to. |
diamondvil:If you can insult someone like this for speaking her mind, I think you would also kill someone for 2k too ![]() He might have made wrong choice of words and came out politically incorrect, but a lot of truth can be distilled from his submission. Sentiments aside ![]() |
AuroraB:I ain't joking lady. It is what it is ![]() You see your folks? Na long spoon I dey use chop with them ![]() |
Kimjongun:Tell the truth. Is she below 27yrs? I've also met people like that too, but you don't see them in younger age bracket and they're usually ugly and heavily enhanced. Hence, they seem to be different from the rest. I don't even know why people think men are scared of rich ladies. We're just disgusted at what is left of them in the pursuit of that independence, and the masculine carriage that comes with it. Most of the independent ones become so unfeminine, and that's what disgusts us. The last one I met was well generous and independent, but she's damn ugly and not feminine in character at all. Me dating her would be like dating my fellow man, so I swerved |
AuroraB:I can say confidently that the bolded doesn't exist between them anymore. The marriage between them must have died long ago and they become mere strangers living together. Once a man loses his financial relevance in the home, the woman stops doing all those womanly stuffs for him. She'll first stops sharing the bed, and then stops cooking for him. Plus other nerve-twisting treatments that will follow for her. No man in his senses will serially beat a woman he holds every night and eats the food she made. |
