I am mad
Very very mad
My shrine is empty
I know my sacrifice are plenty
But I can't find them
Nothing in my realm
From my kitchen of sacrifice
Down to the forest edifice; what a surprise! shocked shocked

The gods must eat
Its favourites are red kolanut and virgin-meat
So like Abraham, a man whose story I heard
I brought out my son and chopped off his head
The sight was interesting, I saw him walk headless
Before succumbing to the throes of death; breathless -
To appease in class, I poured his blood in a tea cup
I drank & spat, danced & chanted in lingo from atop angry angry

It spoke mute, I heard It, its tacitunity amazes me;
Should I cut off the heart and the privates and put it by the tree?
It never replied - I picked up the bong
Change in my birthday suit and began a sing-song
I cleared the bowel, & the rib cage spiced my music
I hit both the bong and a melodious rib with more aesthetic
Amass came the houseflies, they twirled & danced in the open
A thunderous roar was heard - the gods have spoken
But I'm still mad
Very very mad undecided undecided undecided

Poems For ReviewRe: Lets Get Bloody With Rhymed Poems by timpaker(m):
Life's juice flows freely on the road
As two metallic monsters moans madly
A high-priced gaffe plundered his soul dead-cold

Bursted brain and iron butchered body met Mr. Scold
Squeezed in the metallic monster; overly -
Life's juice flows freely on the road

Frightened voice bonged as danger unfold
Onlookers wished he trance to the grave properly
A high- priced gaffe plundered his soul dead-cold

His body floats in his blood ; he thought he was bold
But then his soul creep out from his body quickly
Life's juice flows freely on the road

If he had listened to the warning earlier told
Death wouldn't frolic with his mishap of agony, when really
A high-priced gaffe plundered his soul dead-cold

Then the rain came, so did scavengers capering like a toad
Like 'no coffin no grave' dismembered meats lays cruelly
As life's juice flows freely on the road
A high-priced gaffe plundered his soul dead-cold

Dospix: I cannot be deceived. We all know that the reason why they are yet to call off the strike is because the federal government is yet to give them their full allowances. I am also not exonerating the federal government from the whole strike saga, what i am saying is that, no matter the amount of money pumped into our universities if the lecturers do not change from their lackadaisical attitude towards their fundamental responsibility, our tertiary institutions will still keep dancing in feces.
This is not about 'allowances', if you have followed past ASUU strikes you'd judge better. I agree with you that the attitude of lectures have not bn impressive but you should know most lecturers are forced to give up their passion for lecturing cuz of the situation they find themselves. Imagine you as a lecturer lecturing about 300 pupils in a class that should contain about 100 and you have to lecture in batches, how do you exact excellence in the students when the class rooms are not well ventilated, or the laboratory equipment well enough to cater for such students?

The truth is that most of this politician benefited from the University when the standard was something to recon with so why are they making it look like investing is education is a taboo or irrelevant?

ITbomb: I just wish everybody including the probably ignorant Nigerian students could understand this.
ASUU is saying release N3trn to the Governing Council of Universities (SSANU not ASUU) to use and equip ur classroom , laboratories, engineering workshops, hostel and you all are here shouting it is too much . When Senators are using the same amount to furnish their houses home and abroad.
don't mind them. I wish ASUU could just sensitize some people cuz its obvious most people don't know what the strike is all about

Ada Nri1: Please stop saying that ASSU wants to use the money to restore back
the sector
. We both know it's not true. If you passed thru a Nigerian university you will understand that those lecturers don't care about anything else but their
pay. If govt pays this staggering amount to just universities alone what of polytechnics and colleges of education. Let's be realistic and stop bringing hatred of GEJ into everything.
ASSU started this fight telling students
that politicians were earning jumbo pay and they also want to, now that has it has become an unpopular reason they have turned it into a fight for saving Nigerian universities. There is no difference between those lecturers and Nigerian politicians.

Please permit me to correct you, the money will not be under ASUU care when released, It will be disbursed to the university council ( which is controlled by the FG), so basically what ASUU is doing to imploring the government to revitalize the educational section, #DATSALL

publisher: ASUU = APC

FG should either privatize all her Universities or consession to private managers.

Most Nigerians do not even know that all the Havards, Oxfords, Cambridges ets ARE PRIVATELY OWNED.
So from your summation, anybody that speak on an opinion that is different from the FG is an OPPOSITION?
Interesting... please tell me more

Dospix: Seriously for me, spending even 100tn cannot and will not be able to change the state of things in our universities if our lecturers do not change their attitude. We keep lamenting that the infrastructures in our tertiary institution are in a state of quagmire because of the inability of our government to perform their fundamental duties, forgetting that a large chunk of the problems we face in our universities are self made by some irresponsible lecturers. Nigerian students, we sure need to wake up from our slumber; this group called ASUU do not have our interest in mind.

SMH undecided
transfer your aggression to the FG, ASUU has nothing to do with the fund, they just want a better working infrastructure that the FG promised them. abi dem jazz them when them sign the agreement?
huh huh
PoliticsRe: ASUU Demanded For N3tn, Not N130bn by timpaker(m): 11:41am On Oct 02, 2013
ASUU is on point! An agreement is an agreement.
I wonder why the FG can't keep to their words, in the agreement signed in 2009, the FG agreed to revitalize the educational section with increase funding and infrastructural development, so why are they chickening out? why are they crying foul? why are they saying ASUU has been politicized and hijacked by the opposition?

It is obvious that the FG is playing with future of the Nigerian student. Many people may not know this but the strike has nothing to do with lecturers allowances or welfare as wildly speculated, the issue is adequate funding of the universities. In this present age where most countries are busy development investing in human development (through appropriate funding in research and otherwise), Nigeria is busy playing politics with the future of her citizens. All ASUU want is adequate funding and nothing more. It is even more annoying to hear from the President (a lecturer) who was part of the agreement signing of 2009 to keep this issue on gridlock.
Please note that the money in question will not be given to ASUU members, leaders or lecturers, the money will go to the Univeristy Council which i believe is being controlled by the Government itself (It is like releasing money from FG to FG).

If the FG want the lecturers to go back to the classrooms, i think they should sign a new agreement prohibiting government officials, political appointees and leaders from sending their children abroad. If they make it an offence punishable by law for such Officers to send their children abroad to study then i believe the educational system would get the attention it desires.

Finally, I believe ASUU has failed in sensitizing the general public on this issue hence the various utterances coming out from Nigerians. The general public need to know that ASUU has no interest in the said fund when it is released.

Standard is standard and a sub standard shouldn't be considered a standard no matter how standardized it seem to appear it will NEVER be up to stardard (what a pun! grin grin grin)
