My first million Naira didn't come as a pre-planned thing. One day I simply tallied all my savings plus some debts owed to me and discovered that I had crested the mark by about 87k. I was just 25 then. Making it is not the issue, but sustaining it and making the money multiply and work for you, should be the key focus. Ok, so one has made the first million, and then? What happens next? |
First one happened during my NYSC when I served at Ayetoro in Ogun state. My room was on a corridor that had three other rooms (mine was 2nd frm d left) then the main house in d front. In that my corridor, all the rooms were empty cos the occupants had gone to their homes for break, so I was the only one staying there. One night while I was reading a magazine around 1am, I heard this knock coming frm the rm beside me. An empty rm at 1am. Ha! The thing persisted for about 10 mins. I started saying Ps 23 in my mind but tension no gree me go beyond d first 2 verses. Later heard light footsteps moving along d corridor. I even tried calling my neighbour staying in d main house but for reasons best known to them, line kept saying the number was not reachable. I come dey remember "broda kos kos" stories they used to tell in boarding sch about hw d thing can even hear d breathing and heartbeat of those who are awake and those sleeping. Na so I dey for that terror state o, till sleep come carry me. When I woke up in d morning, I took a mirror to check my eyes (I used to have a small lump in my eye). Immediately I raised d mirror to chk my face, I just saw this BIG spark dart across the room, high up near d ceiling. O Boy come see diving. I used one jump alone to migrate frm where I was standing, to d door and outside to d corridor. Big boy forming no gree me run jus like dat. |
Friends? Hardly have much friends. But among the few that I do have, there are some who're really close like a brother. I discuss ANYTHING with them and we can do anything for the other without thinking twice. Others I'd rather classify as colleagues and acquaintances. |
I've always suspected it! individuals born in the month of May, almost always turn out to be outstanding. I wrote my JAMB and WAEC at the age of 15 although I didn't smash like him O ![]() |
Na wa O. I used to think we as Nigerians were sympathetic to the preservation of human life. I'm surprised at the number of respondents calling for the actress' capital punishment. I'm sure those who are against it haven't quite spoken so these replies shouldn't be a true representation of our mentality. People must still talk. It is said that she committed murder, but was it actually her intention to kill the man? Did she drug and then drag him into a swimming pool? How did the victim die? People drug others for a lot of reasons one of which may be to steal frm the victim. The report didn't give much details about the man's death so I won't say much on that. I don't intend justifying any of the actress' actions but the court should temper justice with mercy. I strongly suspect she wasn't adequately represented in court. They can commute her sentence to life imprisonment rather than killing her. On the part of the Actors Guild members expressing their rxns, if they are truly sincere in support for their colleague, then Nuttal and co should not have used such aggravating comments as "not done in this 21st century", etc. I don't know what reactions they'd expexted to elicit by such statements. A more concilliatory approach should've been considered if they'd wanted to be listened to. Again, pls O, the actress could be sentenced to life imprisonment instead of being hanged. mikuz:Thunder fire you. The only thing you do is to go from post to post dissin other people's jokes. Where's yours? If u don't get it just SHUT UP and calmly move on. @OP, very funny. Really. |
Ha ha I even thought it was the dog that'll alert them just before they hit the water. Make we see as dem go land na. |
Maiduguri : 15 yrs Lagos: 1 year Awka : 5yrs Ogun : 1 year Enugu : 3 yrs PHC : Few weeks Umuahia: 6 months & some weekends Owerri: 4 months plus. (Funny that I've spent almost the least period in my state of origin. If not for some acad program sef, it'd have simply been a few days. Na wa O). |
It is obvious from the comments coming after the OP, that most of the readers do not understand a single bit of what was said but simply went straight to the reply button and proceeded to spit all the rubbish, which I'm sure arose out of the animalistic need to ignorantly attack any person perceived to be succesful and better than them. It was reported that the NCS account with Skye is a collection account, meaning that at periodic intervals there is a sweep of the funds to the main account (which may not even be domiciled in Skye bank and so may be totally unconnected to the court case). So I don't feel the court can order the bank to pay a specific sum from the said collections account. Ok, supposing the balance in the NCS collections account was close to Zero at the time of carrying out the order? Where would the money have come from to pay the litigants? Where? Well the Skye parties have the Appeal court to contest the judgement. People should also think carefully before posting their comments so as not advertise their brazen ignorance and beclouded sense of judgement. You can google Ganishee order or check it up in wikipedia to see what it means. P.S. I'm neither a Skye bank employee nor an affiliate. |
You've been posting since January about the one-month old car, meaning it should be approaching its seventh month now. |
But this has gone beyond being funny. What sense does it make in drafting corps members to go and serve in a place that is confirmed a war-zone? For them to go and die? Borno, Bauchi and Kaduna should have been de-listed from this year's NYSC programme. I feel for the corpers of that state. Really. It is quite sad that the leadership of this country has been so slow, lethargic and reactionary (instead of being proactive) in its administration, ever since its inauguration. Its really sad and disappointing. After all the hype about "Fresh Air". ointing. After all the hype about "Fresh Air". |
Sorry. No longer publicly available. Didn't find it funny. |
Your photo should not be included in your CV except if requested and this would apply only to organizations where image presentation is a major part of the job function e.g modelling/advertising agencies, TV and other visual media companies. There you may have to include your best photos, to beat co-applicants. However, yours or any other photo is not needed in the CV when applying to a financial organization, public/civil service, telecoms (except maybe their PR unit), e.t.c. You may be considered unserious or it may be construed that your looks are only better that what you have to offer the organization.ay be construed that your looks are only better that what you have to offer the organization. |
I really feel like crying now. ![]() |
Na wa O. |
Hmmm, Funny thing but I think my younger sis is more beautiful than the babes in those two pics originally posted. ![]() |
Pally bone. A babe that still uses such cliches as "sorry, you are not my type", is not as smart as she looks. I'd downgrade my rating of such person immediately and either change my manner of approach or if I'm convinced she is not going to be worth the effort, I'd walk away coolly. Believe me she may not eventually be worth the chase. A smarter girl would find a more subtle way of telling you off. Except u just want to chyke babe. |
@OP, Walk up to her, then boldly take her hand in yours, look her straight in the pupils and say (in a very deep, husky voice O): Baby, anytime I see you my heart jus dey go ting-a-ling-a-ling. I don't know how or why, but you just make me feel like settling down and having you forever as a life-mate. Only say it if you mean it O, else it won't work. If the above-stated doesn't work, you can quote the first verse of MI's rap with Waje in d song "One Naira". I trip for the lyrics. Goes thus:Hey Princess, I'm so into U. Cos u see past where me revenue is and love me for me, Clever you, leave u That is something I'll never do. Other girls just wanna get rich quick See them runnin things like Olympics Married men choping them like biscuits They fast food girls, they're fish sticks But what we have is so realistic No forming girl, no film tricks, , If u ever try to leave me like dis, I'll follow u like 3 blind mices. I don try. Tired of typing. Go listen to d rest of the song and then write or croon it to ur potential toastee, then come n tell us what happened. Safe journey. ![]() |
Firstly, the story says it's a rumour and not an established fact, so I don't know why people are already raining curses on him. Secondly, he is currently not married to anyone so even if he made a girl pregnant, other than the fact that he has not married her yet (which almost all marriages in Nigeria are guilty of) I don't know what all the fuss is about. Thirdly, I don't see how this can be compared to Weiner's issue. Somebody sends pictures of his naked genitals to unknown people over the net and yet they say he has committed a lesser crime than the widowed man "alleged" to have impregnated a 24 year old lady. Na wa O. |
Stupid publication couldn't even investigate further to get the expat's name. But they could publish the victim's full names and job history. Well, life is mostly about fitting in wherein your capabilities find its equilibrum. I pity the security guard and other contract staff of that company but they shouldn't let that matter die out like that because such an offence should warrant that wigger's deportation. And then someone else'll come to tell me that dogs are man's best friend. Which man? Bunch of psychos. ![]() |
This issue has once been debated in a science journal (been long I read it; can't remember the name) but their findings showed that taller men on the average, tended to have a higher income level than men of below average height. People at the first instance may tend to assign more responsibilities to the bigger-looking guys before others. But that is just at the early stage of their careers O (my boss is tall, very fair and I should say quite handsome. Very result oriented). However, that is not to say being tall has pre-qualified you to be successful in life. Eventually many other factors come into play. Most of the bank CEOs are of average to below average height. From the relationship aspect, tall guys tend to adopt an unassuming and a low-profile (probably to counter the sub-concious impression people form that tall and big means intimidating), which is why the OP said they lack swag. Hmm, If every tall guy swagged or demo the way u were thinking, u'll immediatelly tag him a show-off or bully. I'm 6'2" and almost all the really tall guys I know of dey dey quiet. because of that, chicks see them as guys who 1) Being big, etc can take care of them 2) Being cool (no initial gra gra) most times, know hw to pet and is one they can handle ( Am I actually saying this?) Hahaha. End of story. I don talk too much. Hey! Nobody's said anything about the guy being tall and slim or being tall and fat. Abi those ones no matter to the ladies? |
Aaarrgh!! He had his first wedding in 1949! I am very sure the girl's parents had not even been born then. See the dessicated ooold goat. Wanted to hook the fresh thing abi? So when he dies he'll go and boast to his pals wherever they might be, that he'd wedded a 25yr old piece of a$$. Ok O. The girl cut liver. She'd have simply gone on with the plans, screw the living daylights out of the sod on their wedding night (maybe egg him on with a mouthful of Viagra), then blame his eventual fatal heart attack on his old age. Mumu. |
Instead of using petrol, the pally should use at least 50 pounds of C4 and enough fragments to turn the house into a sieve. I am very sure that 151,999,000 Nigerians would hail him as a hero. Even if he was from Niger republic. Those Senators and National Assembly members are the biggest threat we have to the continued peace in Nigeria. |
I almost lost my temper when I read ekt-bear confidently saying that IVM only assembles CKD parts of BUSES FROM CHINA. Pally pls get your facts straight before posting them on a public forum. The buses plus other vehicles are all manufactured at Nnewi and the President as represented by Nemadi Sambo commissioned the opening of that plant. A delegation from the Nig Society of Engineers have also visited the plant and were impressed with the fact that the vehicles were actually manufactured there. Most of the Enugu BRT buses which used to be ANAMCO-made are now IVM-made. I noticed the change about two months ago. So some Innoson buses are already plying the Enugu Intra-city routes. They even have a sleeker and modern look (larger windows like GreyHound buses) than previous car makes. I've even noticed some IVM buses in the transporter, Autostar Express fleet. NLders resident in Abj or Lag could also lookout for the buses to verify this. It's a really bold step; what the Innoson founder intends to achieve and it is really a thing of pride to have an indigenous car manufacturing company right here in Nigeria. I'm patiently waiting for the day they'll take on other challenging jobs of designing and manufacturing non-commuter vehicles (sedans, SUVs, etc). Then we can appraise them fully to confirm that they've actually arrived. P.S. The Innoson car brand is identified by their IVM (Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing) logo. Just in case you get to see any of their vehicles. P.P.S: I'm neither an indigene of Enugu nor Anambra O. Or even an Innoson affiliate. Its just that when I see a thing of pride truly being achieved, I can make all the noise possible about it. Ikiri should have replicated Sullivan's performances in Imo state. Let's hope for the best sha. |
No matter how much infrastructural development is being made in a city, some people would still be blind to them, even if such developments were just outside their doorsteps. I don't know what greenfield or greenery or forest was devastated by that shopping mall's construction. The Polo park as I knew it prior to this construction was a giant park of peppersoup joints and beer parlours and a place where nocturnal daughters of Eve used to hangout. So pls its development and not environmental damage that is being brought about by that construction. Besides that, a bulk of the financing came from banks. If you see something good, say something nice or rather reserve your thoughts in order not to appear stupid (sorry) or knowledge-deficient. |
Hmmm. Going through the previous posts of this 9jafetish character and reviewing his/her grammatical structure (blunders and all), I have a feeling that the person is a male btw the ages of 20 and 28, residing in Naija (probably Lagos, where else?). No further comments. |
I work in a company that handles some transactions for Arik and I've heard some stories from their staff especially with regards to the high-handedness of their chairman Arumemi Johnson. That he may come to any of his offices and if he doesn't like your face, gets you fired on the spot, several Arik staff have corroborated that story. Come to think of it, I believe the MD and several Senior Mgt staff are expats so some of the scenarios the original poster alleged may be true. Its very unfortunate that a Nigerian Business owner would be acting in this manner and letting them take root in his organization. Any Arik staff with connections to a Senator or House of Assembly member can let them know for them to take decisive action. Hon Abike Dabiri-Eruwa might have a sympathetic ear to this situation. I don't know if she's still in the house. NLC has been doddering since Oshiomhole left. |
Oh sorry I forgot. Next question: Who has had any embarrassing episode in class? Secondary or Uni? Give us the gory details. Laffs. |
My worst experience in Secondary school (that was in JS Class; I got wiser eventually and tried to avoid trouble in SS class) was one certain time in the boarding house when I attempted to jump fence and go home (defaulters then were known as "jumpers" . A senior across the road sighted me and warned me to go back. For where!I went back in and went to the next break in the fence. Didn't know my guy was busy targetting me from the other side. Immediately I crossed over, that same senior materialized from nowhere and grabbed me. "You r jumping fence kwo? Follow me. You r bery stufis". I knew I was in deep nsi. The guy and 2 other friends of his took me to their cubicle and designed my bum-bum with enough dogonyaro lashes Senior Lotanna and Co FGC Maid 1994, hmmm, I fitn't forget them in a hurry O. Laffs. |
Ha!!! Extremely shocking news from one so young. My condolences to the GTBank family. Pls how true is this news? What is the source? |
Crap. Lost count of the grammertical errors in your post. |
