Do protesters still have the right to protest during a government declared curfew? What are the terms and conditions of a curfew or state of emergency? Are we as citizens free to do as we like during a curfew?

If those protesters had simply obeyed a government directive for people to go home to observe a curfew, all this killings or denial of killings wouldn't have taken place at all.

Unfortunately, most people are only talking of shooting but are silent on disobedience to the law.

This is the reason why I say to those who are calling for ICC to intervene that if this matter at all goes to any court, the families of the victims may likely lose the case because when it comes to law, the constitution and constituted authority takes precedence over personal rights. A government imposed curfew or state of emergency will always take precedence over personal rights to movement.

At exactly 11:49a.m the governor announced an unrealistic curfew via his tweeter handle to start in less than 5 hours, shortly after the announcement, the security cameras at the toll gate where the protesters converged were removed then at about 7 p.m the lights were turned off before the military opened fire and whilst some fired shots upwards, some fired shots to aim the protesters. A clear case of meticulously planned democide.

Covered with blood-soaked Nigeria Flag is one of the casualties.

Furthermore, if I may add, creating regions based on ethnic sentiments may actually lead us to be worse off. Although I am Yoruba, as long as their is greater autonomy for the Yorubas in Kwara and Kogi to do as they please in the Middle Belt region, then I am okay with them staying there. Creating ethnic regions in a country as divided tribally as Nigeria will only do us more harm than good. If you want an example, just look at Ethiopia. They did the same thing you proposed, and now they're on the edge of breaking up, as the Tigray region has vowed to not recognize the federal govt as the official govt. We don't need that here
