Is this a kind of eye-service? The same FG that couldn't provide adequate security from the herdsmen? I still maintain that even if we have a devil as the president, a league of sensible governors would still make something goof out of it but where our governors are supposed to be proactive, that's where they want to look 'nice' in all fronts. Let's wait for the banters to follow this sha. |
Seriously? I heard about this sometimes two weeks ago through a guy who made it seem Trump can't afford to do that. Only if we'll rally together, hold our government responsible and develop our country. No one would be comfortable in a place that's not your home but what do you do when your home is not comfortable? You look out for somewhere else, now somewhere else is becoming difficult to look out for, Nigeria has everything it takes to give us an eldorado. |
Bolustical:The social media bill was not intended to protect the interest of people like Bishop Oyedepo, it was meant to protect the interest of our polititicans as most other laws do protect them. We won't get washed away in this kind of political deceit. |
sulaak:While I see the correctness in your opinion, I think some groups of people in the East, South-south and southwestern also share in the blame. They'd rather get their families enriched than use their political opportunities to fight for the groups. These are the people who make it easy to muffle the voice of Nnamdi Kanu, Sowore and others who are interested in political changes. |
flexyrule: |
flexyrule:So correct. It's not geographical problem, it's the people. Many nations in the world would be TOO LUCKY to have Nigeria with all the potentials. But here we are, most populous black nation in the world which also happens to be the world capital of poverty! |
FrLukas:Hmmmm....you're right though but they're still ignorant |
FrLukas:Clearly a case of ignorance on the part of the 'almost no American'. It has nothing to do with Nigeria even though Nigeria is a country one can't easily be proud of. |
loswhite:You've made your point. |
Trump is making the US appear more as a tyrant than she already appears. Threatening everyone 'threatnable' and making it look as if the US is exclusively self sufficient in all ramifications. I just wish Africa has sensible leaders who wouldn't have made us appear weak and exploitable by the big powers. If all countries were to harness their potentials to the full, the chance of one country trumping others would have reduced. |
Sunnycliff:I don't support secession at all but truth be told, if any region in Nigeria is really ready for a political change, they'll move. If the indegenes of a region speak with a voice and stand their ground, then the region is ready to move on but with all the disunity around us, we'll keep on lamenting. |
Thus we'll keep on lamenting the evils that result from bad governance and upon all these, the introduction of Amotekun is a threat to them. |
Imagine waking up at 2.am and the first thing that pops up in your mind is your 'favourite porn sites'... |
sparog:Much as I wouldn't want to support namecalling whether it's for elderly people or not, I'd still like to state that the 'elderly' in Nigeria actually miused the privilege of respect being bestowed on them by the younger generation. Go to any bureaucratic setup and see how corrupt some of these 'elderly' people are. Look at the 'elderly' people in Nigeria who have amassed vast amounts of wealth for their generations to come while over 100million Nigerians are living in the abyss of poverty. I don't insult people: young or old and I don't support insulting anyone even if I disagree with what they've done but if Nigeria were to have capital punishment and strictly adheres to it, many of these people you call 'elderly' would be rotting in dungeons now. |
So So many truths about the civil war will be hidden forever. |
post=85906543:Even your excellency is afraid of 'Amoteks'. A federal state wouldn't be this noisy because some constituents parts decided to engage regional security system. |
Up Nepa!!!!!!!!! ![]() So easy to say than 'up Discos'. We'd definitely stop that when electricity becomes 24 hours stable. |
press9jatv:Let's be honest here. They closed over 60 accounts and compiled the funds there to generate 5Billion naira and then went ahead to say that Ajimobi didn't leave anything? The 60 accounts that were closed, didn't they have statements to prove whether they're loopholes and who's benefitting from them? Just understand that there's hardly any politician in Nigeria that's to be supported. Even Ajimobi didn't have some ambiguity that this Seyi has. I'm just pleased he came into governance with high level of preparedness. |
itsme01:To be honest, I don't defend any of these guys anymore. Tinubu as a person rarely mention the name of individuals but GSM and Seyi Makinde are playing their games which is because Oyo State's politics is mostly played with malice in heart. What I'm certain of is that the badmouthing of Seyi Makinde on Alpha-Beta is useless except Alpha-Beta is actually a looting machine. |
This is what happens to the generation of men who wouldn't mind losing their senses just to please women and appear like a 'gentleman'. |
itsme01:Leave him alone o, he's the governor and whichever consulting firm he uses, he'll bear the responsibility. If he keep quiet at this time, people will take him for timidity however, he has work to do and he has the trust of Oyo State. |
iLegendd:Who wouldn't want to a woman to pursue him if he doesn't have any other purpose of existence? |
Civil servants are appointed officials carrying our bureaucratic activities or any other activities that ensures the smooth running of the state e.g career people in all sectors of government work. They're answerable to the elected officials while public servants are servants of the society I.e elected officials running the affairs of the state and answerable to the state (hence public servant). |
Southern Nigeria is like a pack of lions; mighty but few while Northern Nigeria is a bunch of buffaloes; less powerful than lions but in multitudes. Unlike lions however, southern Nigeria has refused to hunt together and command the obedience of the herds of buffaloes terrorising them because of their number. The southern folks keep shouting "unfairness" while the northern folks keep showing off their 'right' (power). Some say the country is one but I don't think issues of tribalism and nepotism should keep threatening a unity of a country that is 'one'. A mighty group in the south was even referred to as "5%" because of their number. |
juman:The reason you see "Deeper Life" there is because we have a high standard for them. But they are just a bunch of individuals, everyday people who have doctrines that some of their members may not follow. |
it's all won or lost in the world of thoughts. The 'spirit' of homosexuality will not enter you until you come into contact with homosexual behavior and you get fascinated by it. If you know how to get rid of an idea, you can get rid of it but if ideas have always conquered you, go get a bible and find something fascinating about it to keep thinking of. Thoughts are strongholds... |
What the op wrote is exactly what is wrong with our world today. The "I-know-alls" of our world who think criticising asocial behaviour is a form of hypocrisy while the asocial behaviour itself is tolerated. So because I don't want to be a hypocrite, I should keep quiet while we keep on doing things that will keep tearing our society apart? Do you call it being "oneself" when we glorify all the moral decadence nowadays? If you call it being oneself, you're invariably saying we are animals because it is only animals that don't have self control. If anyone therefore want to totally be themselves, then they're animals. The ability to reason logically and control our behaviors is what makes us humans. |
kiyosaki1:Exactly what I was going to type. The home is always the first teacher and when the home doesn't have time to teach children, they look for teachers outside the home. No matter how busy a parent is, having no time for their children is as having nothing to cater for the children. You can't keep feeding the body and then improverish their minds. |
More than half of the commenters on this topic didn't read the post actually. They read a part and left the others and thereby make comments that are not informed. The man said "the Igbos are part of Nigeria and every part of Nigeria should be given a chance to lead. You can't say Nigeria is united when a part of the country is not allowed to lead". Then a lot of people here, mostly southerners, who should be corroborating what the man said are saying things that actually prove the southerners are the problem of the south. |
Yoighaman:Worse is the fact that we think we have the freedom to make choices and we keep misusing that freedom. Now some people will suffer for it and we don't have a way of fixing that I.e baby mama/baby daddy issue (coming from a broken home will always have its side effects). So also is what the society now call 'civilization'. We're free to choose and we keep making choices that bring sorrow and problems to our society. |
I thought I was going to see... ..people clad in their digging equipments, sweating profusely in diets. @op Do you mean to say that gold diggers can look as neat as these couples? |
Officialgarri:Even though I already knew what to do with my life before I went for service, I had to keep reminding myself that it wasn't my power that saw me through university. Things appeared so bleak and useless even though everyone looked at me with the eye of " the guy who's got things figured out". The person who said "the girl is stupid" should rather be thankful for his/her life. Not everyone can go through the stress of "what to do with life". If the girl had however been lucky to have good people in her life, perhaps she'd still be alive. |
