Federal government, national assembly should pass and sign a bill for states to have autonomy..state autonomy where states are in control of their resources and money they generate from the resources.. with this states will have enough money to do their roads...the federal roads, high way without waiting for the federal government to come and do it which can take many years before the federal government agrees to do the federal roads,. there is s lot of bad federal roads in nigeria...state autonomy is the solution

When I was younger, I didn't understand a lot of their actions. Now I am older, it makes me appreciate how much they sacrificed to feed us and pay our fees. I seriously wonder how our parents did it.

I don't shy away from their calls anymore.
Even if I don't pick immediately, I must call back.

It makes them very happy. My dad in particular would give you update on the whole LGA. Who knack person wife and who do juju. I look forward to his updates which comes mostly after their Sunday meetings.

while folks may have issues with their parents, I suggest we do as much as possible within reason, to ensure that we honor, revere, respect, and love our parents.
In my own upbringing, the blessing of one's parents is the ULTIMATE, and living in peace with them is NON-NEGOTIABLE.
The blessings of parents definitely attract the blessings and protection of God.

Some cultures in Nigeria have more reverence for parents and family than others.

Typically, if a man and woman dey share bills, they do so with an agreement they share other responsibilities as well— democracy. In a situation like that when one partner loses a job, that one takes on full home-making duties(including caring for kids) to take the stress from the one who has to bear paying bills until he/she is able to get back on the ground again.

No woman EVER keeps to agreements...they NEVER DO.. their emotions controls them.

It depends on how how they feel at the moment.. it is their nature - it is not even a bad thing.

So don't count on your so called agreement with women because once hormones shake, feelings dance small... ALL AGREEMENTS GO OUT OF THE WINDOW.

Stop blaming the women for adhering to what has been culturally passed down from your ancestors. The typical Nigerian man enters into marriage to serve as the sole winner and in exchange he gets the respect and submission of his Nigerian wife. The woman is basically expected to surrender her self-will and even her dreams to exist under the man and in exchange he takes over responsibility for all of her financial needs and that of the family that results from the union. That is what is Nigerian culture and tradition to this day. Ask the man next to you if you are not aware of this. So, stop blaming the women for staying on script.

At a time when we just spent 4months out of 1 year rent, my wife asked me that we should move out because she fought with a co-tenant and said she didn't want to set eyes on the co-tenant again. I said I wasn't prepared for this as I needed time to gather money for next year rent. She offered to drop money from her savings. We got a new apartment. And she became my boss. Come and see humiliation. I wept on several occasions because I'm not a type of person that engages in physical fight. I don't even use abusive words. Whatever I say on nairaland is just catching cruise.

I looked for money and rented a room. I didn't move out my things like chairs, bed etc because my daughter needs them. I left forever.

She told relatives that I left our home and never looked back. Relatives reminded her that she told them she was the one paying all bills since the beginning and that she should thank God that the burden was removed. That's when I got to know about the lie that she was the one paying bills.

In my next life, I will prefer to be a gay.

1. Car sickness... If I'm traveling long distances, especially in the morning, I get sick... I start sweating, having short breath, getting nauseous and eventually throwing up... Same thing happens when I perceive the smell of cigarettes/weed.

Last time I threw up due to traveling long distances was this past Saturday, I had no choice because some things just had to be done in the morning, especially on weekends... As I was driving, I felt my condition getting worse but I had to keep driving because already I was running late... It was only when I felt that I couldn't keep up anymore that I parked on the roadside and threw up... I stayed outside the car for a while for some fresh air.

When I reached my destination, I started feeling better and the nausea started to suppress, only for this old man who smelled a cigarette/weed to come my way, I tolerated the smell hoping that he'll leave, but he just kept talking non-stop... The smell triggered the nausea again and before I knew it, I threw up for the second time... But fortunately, I had a sickness bag inside my hand bag because I always prepare myself for such situations whenever I'm traveling long distances.

It's like it runs within the family because I'm told that my maternal grandmother used to have the same condition, my aunt and sister are also experiencing the same thing... We have car sickness.

2. Nosebleeding... Like car sickness, this is something I've struggled with since I was a child... I could be playing, eating, sleeping, or just sitting back and doing nothing and my nose would just start bleeding... It used to be more frequent when I was a child, but as I got older it decreased to a point that I can now go a very long time without nose bleeding... But now some of my sisters' kids are experiencing the same problem.

Just last night I was talking to my 8 years old nephew over a video call when I noticed something coming out of his nose and it was blood... The boy wasn't even sick.

I've never met anyone outside of my family who can relate to having these two conditions... So I'm just curious to know if there's anyone who can relate in here.
