Christianity Etc › Re: On The Most Blessed Virgin Mary- Teachings Of The Early Church Fathers- by Ubenedictus(m): 7:36am On Aug 07, 2013
superior1: I believe in the epistles of Paul and I believe his teachings are fully revealed in the totality of his epistles. I also believe what ever he has written are to be adopted by Christians (He commanded it read to the assembly and in a case to be given to another church). If we deviate to Luther, then we will have to address all the heresy he pointed out in the Roman Catholic Church.

You are still yet to sign the deal i proposed, if you sign it, then why not?
WHERE DID PAUL SAY "ALL MY TEACHINGS ARE IN THE EPISTLES"?

shdemidemi: I do not see any reason why we should see the different gospels/good news in the scripture as being controversial atall. The good news Abraham got saved by is definitely different from the good news John the Baptist got saved by. The good news before the death of Christ is different from the good news after his ascension, only if we can rightly divide these things and see how God's programme with man kept changing at different dispensations.

Deuteronomy 29:29 (KJ21)
29 “The secret things belong unto the Lord our God; but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Apostle Paul said it more than once that these mysteries/ secrets were revealed to him by the risen Christ himself and not by man. Of course, I am not saying you have to agree with me but take time to check it again.
but paul never said those mysteries were revealed to him alone. to claim the apostles of the new testament has different gospels is as controversial as controversail can get

Christianity Etc › Re: Homosexuality: Should We "Judge" Or Not? by Ubenedictus(m): 8:56am On Aug 03, 2013
first of all, are you talking about the ministry of justice according to God or according to man, for God the justice for a repentant sinner is mercy and forgiveness not condemnation.

The pope was asked about supposed gay lobbys in the vatican and he differentiated between been gay and been in a lobby, he the went on to say that if a gay person (the context is supposed gay priests in the vatican), accepts the lord "who am i to judge?" To "accept the lord" in catholic theology may be likened to what protestants call born again, to accept the lord is also to accept his teaching and his grace and to walk in it. he then went on to quote the cathechism which cleerly state that homosexual sexual activities are disorder and sinful but the person should never be discriminated against. The pope does not judge any gay person who is living according to grace in obedience to Christian teaching.
You asked about the ministry of justice, in this times of grace the ministry of justice for every repentant sinner is forgiveness, for the unrepentant it is your job to tell them the message of Christ and pray for power of the holyspirit to touch their lives and turn it around.
in this time of grace that in the ministry of justice untill the time of judgement when the lord shall sit in judgement.

READING THE THREAD HAS BEEN REFRESHING.
@IMAGE, DON'T BE SUPRISED IF YOUR VIEW ON JUSTIFICATION IS REJECTED. I'M PERSONALLY SHOCKED YOU HOLD SUCH A VIEW, YOUR VIEW ON JUSTIFICATION is neither lutherian or calvinist, it is hardly protestant. remember this particular doctrine is the reason for the protestant "reformation", i advice you step back a little and do a little research and be convinced you really want to hold this view.

@she your theory on different gospel is remains so controversial.

Male and female did God make man, which one is gay again. Maybe am not getting you well, but only straight people can accept God (Born Again). You can't Live in sin and expect grace to abound.
so you are god and have decided who can accept grace and who cant. it is a pity

Christianity Etc › Re: Same Sex Marriage: Catholic High School Teacher Fired For Being Gay! by Ubenedictus(m): 1:35pm On Aug 01, 2013
correction, he was not fired for being gay, homosexual orientation isn't a sin but a depravity like conscupicience, homosexual acts of sexual nature are considered grave sins and gay marriage is considered an imposibility because marriage by definitioon is between a man and a woman.
He wasn't fired for being gay(possesing a sexual orientation), he was fired for his supposed marriage which is against catholic teaching. It will be imposible to claim to bring kids up in a catholic way when their teachers are publicly living contrary.
Christianity Etc › Re: Shall We Continue In Sin? by Ubenedictus(m): 10:52pm On Jul 30, 2013
Goshen360: When you\we sin, your\our new man after the order of Christ (your\our spirit) DOES NOT participate in such sin because HE CANNOT SIN and he is against or at opposite with the flesh. He is the seed of God in you\us! It is your body (UNcrucified) that feeds on the desires of the sinful nature that still resides in your body (same temple you live in). In that same body, you will reap whatsoever you sow. He that sows to the FLESH shall of the flesh reap corruption BUT he that sows to the spirit shall reap life. You\we ask for forgiveness or not, you\we shall reap what you sow. What is the purpose of asking for forgiveness when someone still go back to same sin tomorrow. The scripture cannot be broken!

If you want scriptures to the above explanations, I can give them as they're readily available.
i don't think you answered the question, or may i say i don't fully understand your answer.
Are you saying when we sin according to d flesh we should not ask for forgiveness?

honeric01: Meaning these ones were the only ones sent out to preach the gospel while anyone else who's a christian should sit back and watch lol.

Sorry, whoever is interpreting bible for you people is really doing 'something'.

Every christian is an apostle of christ. Like a tree with branches and leaves, a tree without braches and leaves can't be seen as a tree, every part is what makes it a tree.

Ever heard of the Jesus being the true vine while we make up the body parts?

I really can't coninue with your heresies.

If i'm to go by your 'standard', who is now the decider of who are the 'apostles' since christ in flesh is no longer with us?

Your understanding of the bible is flawed according to my own background understanding. Two parallel lines so let's not bother again, i'm do full of laughter right now.
i bet you are full of laughter, why not? You lack the simple knowledge that not every member of the body of christ is called to be a preacher, it seem to you the ignorance of this is bliss that it evokes such laughter.
Study to show yourself approved, please read up on 1st cor, mayb along the line you will see it there that not everybody has a particular chasm.

Enjoy! Have a nice day.

Bunker: He is a good speaker. God be with him
i doubt bishops in the vatican will agree, he give the media too much to talk about, when speaking to the media about matters of doctrine it is important that you treat them like idoits and repeat your points very clearly to make sure someone won't twist your words. Without the quote on "accept/seek the lord", i'm sure even well meaning catholics would have found it hard to distinguish whether his point was that gays shouldn't be discriminated against or we was simply pro gay.

He has the words for a homily but lacks the tact to address the media.
Nice justification there. I presume you are a catholic. we all are waiting for the day when a pro gay pope will be elected, at least that pope can forgive their sins and they will become full brothers able to take the sacrament. we await the man of lawlessness and the beast that will give him power
i'm very sure u sin from time to time and am also sure that if you sincerely confess them God will forgive you. So why can't or shouldn't repentant gays be admitted to d sacraments?

Christianity Etc › Re: Catholic Priests Must Have Sex-lawyer Amekudzi by Ubenedictus(m): 5:03pm On Jul 30, 2013
It seems you wish to force your opinion on us, protestant pastors are married yet we still have child molestation and molestation of women among them. Their marriage didn't change anything. A priest who wants to be celibate to reserve all attention to God as cor advises should be celibate. And stop trying to force your opinion on others that is usually considered rude and boring
FrostyZonn: Idle chatter. At least, they(Protestants) don't molest little boys on daily basis, or discriminate against women in the sense that woman can never be priest.

No matter what you do, you can't deceive nature. God created male and female for reason, you know?

Catholics priests forcing celibacy on themselves in the name of...(I have on idea. There is nowhere in bible it says that priests must not marry)...?? is only prolonging the inevitable. They will eventual capitulate to the powers of the flesh, and release their pent up perverted animal lust on the bodies of innocent little kids.

So to stop all this unnecessary tainting of Christianity, catholic priest must follow their protestant counter-part's example and start enjoying the benefits of holy matrimony themselves.

honeric01: Ever heard of the gifts and the fruits of the holy spirits?
yes
Were christians not promised these or was it specified to few christians?
every christian should have all the fruits of the spirit but not every christian has every gift of the holyspirit and not every christian is an elder or an 'episcopus'

Are these gifts not what humans use in picking their leaders?
Lastly, whether you're the leader in a church or just an usher, would you be judged differently?
whatever thing u do in life will have its own judgement, that of an elder will be on how he led d flock of God, his job isn't the same as that of an usher.

Aren't all christians suppose to spread and do the gospel/work of God or do we have specific people for this?
each according to the gifts and ministry God gave them,

Its just funny lol.

Pls what's inside KJV that's missing from the rest?
i don't find it funny. I don't make it a point to discuss bible versions but i research on them, i advise u to research on whatever version u use. Italo may be interested in a discussion on versions.

actually my dear, though i don't believe in your idea of half gospel and full gospels i have to let you know that those who recieved the commision directly are the apostles only. Just so you know.

Paul was made Apostle by Christ where?
i thought you'll remember this passage Paul, an apostle appointed not by human beings nor through any human being but by Jesus christ... gal 1:1, u may also look at gal1:11,
Timothy made a priest by who and where?
so you don't know that timothy was made a presbyter? Or you don't know d english word 'priest' is from the greek word presbyter? You may read 1st timothy if you doubt that timothy is a presbyter.
LOL. i don tire. i thought every christian is suppose to represent Christ, so it means some should be more christian than others, yet we are all to be judge in the same manner at the last day?
i think i explained the part on different offices in the body of Christ in my previous post.

Just that i found out i am wasting my time with someone who thinks some "Christians" are more "christian" than others and that they were given different gospel to preach. (Your heresy is glaring.)
it is a pity you don't know or refuse to know the christian have "offices" that are different from other, some are apostles other presbyter others prophets e.t.c. If you really don't remember the passage of scripture that says that, just let me know i'll remind you. Some christians aren't more 'christian' than others what italo is saying is that we share in the ministry of christ in different degrees.
Let me ask you, why do you think james say when you are sick we should call the presbyter of the church and not just another brother?
I'll leave you with that.
