exotik:400 years and where was it located? in your village?biggest faffing man. I don't know how long the british empire lasted,I don't think its upto 400 but the signs are there through the spread of english language from America to Australia, the spanish and massive south america. I respect your culture but stop the constant lousy embellishment, even in edo state how many languages do 'ye' have there. You couldn't have spent 400 years and yet your influence is restricted to some areas around you. I don't think OYO lasted 400 but from Ajase to Kabba, borgu the influence is unmistakable. Come on! Lagos,Ogun,Oyo,Osun,Kwara,Ekiti,Ondo, kogi,Ajase,Borgu?,having same cultural identity: the population, the land mass. @topic The main reason for this topic isn't necessarily the ops love for Edo,its basically another avenue to look for childish arguments. |
Demdem:Go back and listen, read and watch her actions/role and assertions during the subsidy protests.I believe strongly,no accomplished professional would do all she did;flimsy and unsubstantiated excuses, inability to reconcile figures and assertions made. So relative to what we were made to believe about her,yes she's empty. Wheres Oby Esekwesili? shes a pro. ![]() |
Demdem:Olodumore o! ,sucking ke ,i 'dint' say that,you said it! |
The emptiness of Okonjo has been exposed by her second coming,I really want to know what she was doing ( her role) at the World bank, seriously.Baba Obasanjo probably saw that shes basically empty and transferred her from Finance to another gloried ministerial position .About 2nd class,School grade sometimes doesn't fully measure people's capacity. |
If this happens then the ACN has got him right where they want. Fry pan to fire. |
Werepeleri, Just wondering, really.I don't expect everything to fall right out of the sky and neither do I have that massive sense of entitlement we often see with some of us outside. Burger ke? I can't remember the last time I had one cos It sometimes give me indigestion but I will miss Wasabi,Itsu,Miso,Abokado, pret, greggs lol! Thanks anyway. |
ekt_bear:Lol! |
@Werepeleri, You were out for years,I have been for almost same period now and I am seriously considering coming home or Ghana to settle but I get this feeling I won't fit in and will have to run back which I don't want to happen. How did it feel living in Nigeria after a decade outside. |
![]() I am not discouraging it,really, just felt he needs to give an insight into why he is considering ICAN after ACCA.A strong local accountancy body is very necessary for the development of members and the profession at large.Whether ican is doing enough, thats another thing. Maybe worth doing who knows for reasons i stated in my last comment and abovemycvclinic: |
DaLover:What exactly are you going on about gan sef!you keep straddling threads chatting about oil this oil that, stop the oil-hugging attitude njare! hen. If you had to put your back into cultivating the oil you probably be suicide bombing the so called parasites by now .It's a big joke if you think crude oil value chain will also be subject of resource control. ![]() |
jen_ny:Why do you think Ican is necessary . knowledge of local tax laws, audit, gaap. practicing ceritficate self preservation ![]() |
Has laulau Aregbesola even gone back home from Lagos from where he governs Osun by remote control yet? How can such a useless governor demand more money from the FG? He was the one who claimed only in December that he doesn't need any allocation from the FG, because he could generate much more from yams; so it is the height of hypocrisy for him to do a full about turn to ask for more. Why are these governors so mentally lazy, laulau and useless? Occupy your governor and LG boss. ![]()

" boldedThank God they are not 'Goodluck-driven',no track record and totally NFA .Oga mi for Aso and his militant mates are the real laulau spenders |
They seriously need to stop waffling,if they are really serious about changing things how much of the 'booty' received so far have been used properly, how much resources have been devoted to Agriculture and education(our strong points). There's no western region, there's the west and the former midwest! What's the point of always kissing up to people who view your actions with huge suspicion, the governors need to really sit down and stop faffing about. They should use that energy on kicking pdp out of Kwara.Kwara to me is far more strategic and important to the commonwealth but how well are they doing in the states they have already. What's happening to Olokola FTZ port that maybe give far more benefit to Ogun/Ondo,they need to sort that out. Those who refer to us as parasite may actually have a point now if those who are supposed to chart a new course for our people are beginning to sound confused(though the oil doesn't belong to baba enikan!). They are looking more like Pdp to me!It's so unacceptable cos they have all proved themselves in their personal lives. Fiddlestick! |
We can remove Sanusi and replace him with one of these boys cos they are now reformed and na their Oyel money dem dey keep there. They too are entitled to laulau na! ![]() |
Shame on Obj man! see as Ijaw people they do laulau, for awa turn baba was playing Mr. Nigeria ![]() Olorun o! if we get there again man!; ![]() Mc oluomo must be defense minister. Gani adams supervising minster for Odu'a affairs. Tokyo of Ibadan will be minister for transport. Salawa Abeni, ministry of petroleum( if Allison can be minster why not salawa?) Iya aladuke special adviser, women affairs. Jonathan has taken governance in Nigeria to another level of mediocrity and cronyism. |
When the Action congress released a statement about this same issue it was described as another Yoruba opposition to the desire of the' Niger-delta' to control their God given resources. I guess the itsekiris are being used to pursue 'Yoruba agenda'. If this goes through maybe Lagos state should also pick up OPC boys train them and fully kit them up with arms and make them water-bourne Ondo should follow suit and re-arm the Ilaje and ikales, for the Itsekiris experience should be key indicator. This arrangement is absolutely unacceptable! Odu'a kor!(Odu'a reject it!)Lmao! Onlytruth:Why don't you allow your age rather than rage dictate what you write here? What's with your usual trusting yoruba baby-talk. Do you know how many communities, towns and groups you drive through to get anywhere near yorubas? Why this silly talk as if we are next door neighbours.we don't share borders. Spend more time doing grown ups stuff and leave this to your little cousins. I wish those who routinely engage you guys would stop. |
We can do it,but don't let's set our hopes too high.We need take the system down board by board, hijacking some local governments, state house of assembly positions, house of rep and senate. Role out the frame work and I will be ready to play my part. He's relatively not bad: If Obj had got over his insecurity and imposed El-rufai on us we wouldn't be in this unacceptable mess,Far competent than Yar'dua(Rip) and not in same league with the current man. |
Abi o We are now getting so overwhelmed with shadow-chasing everywhere!,some will blame Hausa-fulani/core north for their problems while ignoring the highly probable connivance of their local leaders, others would shout Boko haram is killing our people and still they continue to hug this same government that has failed to protect its citizen,at least try to!. I am personally getting really disappointed in some of the senators from my sphere, they just went into the senate and they vanished save for tepid statements they make at times,( and you hear some people shouting Oduarepublic, its a non -starter with the kind of leadership we have at the moment, seriously). We just blame this man at Aso rock but our senators are bigger failures. |
According to him, Oando accounted for 53 per cent of petrol importation in 2006 and 47 per cent of subsidy payment. He, however, stated that the company’s market share in terms of subsidy receipts and petrol importation dropped to 11 per cent in 2011 due to proliferation of companies that participated in the PSF scheme. ![]() The Petroleum Support Fund (PSF) expected that there would be under-recovery. For example, when the landing cost was higher than the pump price, the government owed us money, which is paid as subsidy. When there is over-recovery, that is, when the landing cost is less than the pump price, we pay back to the government. For example, during the Yar’Adua administration, when the petrol price was N65 and the crude oil price dropped to $50 per barrel, the marketers paid back to the fund. I remember that Oando paid N1.6 billion back to the Federal Government,” he said ![]() Oando as a private firm owes none of you any responsibility save for CSR,what you should do is to hold your disgraceful and utterly clueless politicians to account for their stewardship. Oando may write their accounts as much as they want, its the responsibility of those who are handing out subsidy cash to have records/schedules of payment made and to whom. Nigerian businesses do a lot of dodgy and unacceptable stuffs to stay in business cos of the lax regulatory environment but on this subsidy issue, face the Government you all voted for and leave the businesses alone. |
^^ Don't worry we outnumber those oil- hugging secessionists. |
CyberG:But we will have highly skilled migrant, point based scheme cos there will be shortage of skills now!. If you can cook edikaikong or Nkwobi then you automatically qualify.lol! |
Okun/pele,i fully get it. ![]() Its not easy having so many ids, creating different personality on the internet in other to win arguements cos man must chop but a bit of ethics wouldn't kill as you run around to earn it. Nobody!, i repeat, nobody feeds anyone in Nigeria we are all dependent on nature's blessing and that's what crude oil is.Let no man claim what he did not produce or cultivate as his cos that would be greed and baba nla (biggest) covetousness. |
naijababe:Ashe! ojare, ![]() |

They should go protest about the huge oil spill caused by shell if they truly love their community or shush!go spend your mobilisation fee on Ogogoro. Who gave you the right to speak for the south. These people don't even know what they want seriously, today na Niger-delta republic, next day na SS/SE and the next day na south. Too much childish palongo dance arround one issue sha. |
If its not FFK again! Femi Fani kayode one of the biggest Yoruba nationalists and Odu'a republic advocate pre 1999 but immediately he became a minister under Obj he went pro Nigeria and mute, became very abusive of baba's opponents but I respect him for one thing,he didn't threaten secession when baba was being attacked . FFK seems to flow with the wind and only the uniformed would jump and dance whenever he says anything. Your Governors, local government chairmen are a bigger problem compared to the non-existent Core north. |
auwal87:My friend Nigeria is going nowhere! trust me mae. The dreamers are the notorious secessionists who hardly contribute or do anything in their community but want to help determine the destiny of such community as regard sovereignty. Who's the leader that would lead our people to the new country? there's no Awolowo,Adesanya,Ajasin,Ige or structures like Afenifere: People who say this is what Yoruba people want and the rest of us shake our heads in total agreement Alex salmond has got the political endorsement from the Scottish people to lead them out of the UK,where's your people's Alex salmond? South sudan wouldn't have descended into chaos in such a quick way if John Garang was still alive We shall not concede an inch of our land to the oil grabbers nor to the hypocritical killers of muslims and christian alike up-north. We shall biuld our Nigeria and the gates of sappy Imf.oil thieves, religious nincompoops and greed shall not prevail against it» Ashe! edumare I am not Occupying Ekiti,I am not occupying Yoobaland, we shall #OccupyNigeria,a truly federal Nigeria, for the sake of Africa! |
Am not a fan of Ibb but i agree with him, rather than collapse the system we shall repair it from the inside and whoever wants to secede should come out with sensible arguments why the country should let them go. Want to use force? you shall be subdued! |
Another secessionist dreaming.first of all, takeover your states before thinking of collapsing the whole nation (not gonna happen). You all are clearly outnumbered. ![]() |
k9ine:Get someone with a job to hand you their payslip, that should help or use google. The basic stuff nomally are;employees name, tax code,Nic,hourly rate, pay period, gross pay,tax charge, net pay and so on. You can easily use Ms.excel to come with something appropriate. D subtle:Well you maybe right if the system is tailored or your are using a spreadsheet(gives you room to be creative) but standard software like sage financial controller is a one size fit all system. Jarus:I think its a 2 step approach: 1.You got to meet the frame work criteria of what an asset is. 2.Separating what qualifies as research (revenue treatment) from what is development (capital treatment),this has got some further annoying criteria as well. IGAAP. |
Second, |
So parodies are better than the real stuff cos all those music we are being assaulted with are all pseudo-american noise. We import almost everything: Our music is becoming more of borrowed stuff. People virtually slobber over English footie It will be difficult for us to change things if we have an increasing thirst for things produced by others. As long as you see whatever you do in Nigeria as doing somebody favours rather than a responsibility/ commitment, you will always complain. |
