One thing I know for sure is that most government business is all about the politics and nothing more. |
That's commendable. Somewhere in the same country, doctors are owed 13 months and lecturers 22 months salary areas ![]() |
SetrakusRa:All the commenters created their account within one week |
Almost all the commenters on the first page created their account on the last week of January 2019. Coincidence? |
I'm not seeing"risky" activities here |

You should understand your city well. Here in Owerri, there are times you don't obey the light. For instance early morning and late night. There are places too the light doesn't matter. In fact the light is obeyed only when there are uniformed people. Nigerians are not used to obeying traffic lights. Don't blame us, that light cannot work for two years consistently. If we get used to traffic lights for many years, obeying it will become our culture. But since we see it like Christmas tree; once in a while, we equally treat it like Christmas holiday. If the government makes traffic lights part of the permanent city feature, we will gradually imbibe the culture of obeying it effortlessly |
So the name has to change from bittersoul to happysoul, I guess? |
EtimAbasiama:When last did you restart your phone? |
It depends on what you mean by "defeat". The solution is to split the country along religious line: Muslim and Christian States. Or maybe religious and secular states, and then people align accordingly. But for a United Nigeria to defeat them? It's possible too. Don't use Afghanistan as a case study. I don't didn't see the sincerity of the US in fighting the Talibans from day one. America was more interested in selling weapons, and average Afghanistan is a Muslim and would support terrorists over any effort for liberation. Take northern Nigeria for instance, they only feel bad when they become victims of the senseless killings but will still not render any tangible assistance in the fight against terrorists because they have a soft spot for them. So the Afghans could have been undermining Americans' effort because they already see the west as infidels. But a determined and smart leader can do the magic |
I don't think an African man will forgive such act unless under "pressure" |
How long does it last on a single charge for usingonly fan? |
This same Economics. In my undergraduate days in one of the institutions in the east, I was helping a lecturer arrange some files in the shelf when I stumbled on a result sheet where all the final year economics students had F. And I've come to realize that economics students are the highest sorters in every school in Nigeria . Why? |
Can unconscious man maintain erection? Maybe the drug they injected into him is what led to his hospitalization. Nairaland guys will even pray for women to rape them ![]() |

We all hate the NPF, but at least 10000 youths are still going to apply. Why? An honest answer to this reveals why Africa will not develop in our time. Hunger and poverty have been weaponized. That is why money equates success in our society. The pastor that preaches against crime will gladly accept offering from a known fraudster. The hardcore critic of a government will accept a post in the same government he claims to hate. Parent that normally claim to raise their children in the "fear of God" will gladly accept the Yahoo yahoo lifestyle of their children. Communities that claim to give no room to evil still go to known ritualists for financial aid during developmental projects. Even many SE youths will apply for this position. Why? Because"our" struggle from birth is against hunger. As a country, we are still struggling with the basics like food, road, power etc. How can the citizens have any choice of job? How dare you talk about passion in our country? I studied education which was not even my choice. I graduated with a very good grade. But today I am aluminum roof estimator. What a society! So tell me, when will we start saving for research and for our passion? |
I thought the attack was unsuccessful? But this trend of jailbreak is really bad |
Gireiboy:Nigeria is not as complex as we think. Beneath the christian Muslim/north south dichotomy that is overblown in social media, is a people who are united in more ways such as poverty and suffering. Most of our differences are politically orchestrated. Check out the harmony that exists between Nigerians of different tribes at different markets and in different streets across the country. |
Gireiboy:Nothing is impossible bro, anything money cannot do, more money can do it. Do you know that as a president, you can rewrite the constitution and have it passed? How, you asked? Offer a year's capital expenditure to the national assembly and ask them to pass the bill and then vacate their position; they'll gladly accept it. How much more a lesser task like ending religion. How can you achieve that? Produce a realistic, actionable school curriculum that emphasizes 100% science, culture and history. Employ superior (relative to religious clerics) propagandists and let them flood the whole media with the new teaching. Convert every religious center to research, agricultural, medical, academic or industrial complex. Note: religion will still be allowed on private basis. In less than ten years religion will mostly belong to history |

Racoon:Not like previous governments were any better |
Myexdisturbs:but the article is blaming the blaming the government... |
Igbos have been begging Nigeria for a political solution to their aspirations and the government paid no attention until they took weapon, you lots blamed them for going violent and never blamed the government for not proffering any political solution. Now you're blaming Ethiopian government for not going political because your "brothers" now appears to be the "victims". Bro, the truth is, as far as we continue to base our judgement on religious considerations, we will never make any headway in Africa. If I become the Nigeria's president, I will kill religion completely; I will squash the 36 states system; I will throw out current education policy to the Atlantic and finally, I will unify Africa and use diplomacy to force them to follow suit |
We like doing things upside down in this country. First, how did we compile list of poor people even when majority of the poor have neither bank account nor national ID card? Secondly, how do we know that savings from subsidy removal will be used for meaningful project? Again, how does sharing 5k to individuals solve the problem of the hyperinflation that the removal will cause since we are already witnessing a high magnitude inflation? Lastly, does government have any actionable plans on how to stabilize this our crisis ridden economy? |
InTheCloudySky:You're actually the one with "sexist orientation". My discussion has been about the experience of both partners in marriage. Most marriageable men are already experienced in how to make money and most marriageable women are inexperienced in it. That is why most men marry in their 30s while most women marry in their 20s. Like I told you earlier, once a girl becomes biologically matured, she's due for marriage. But a man must be economically ready before he is due for marriage. Argue all you want, that is just the fact and it gives most men some advantage over their women at the early stage of their marriage. Over time, the woman equally learns the rope and become good or even better than the man. On how women abuse power, don't forget that everything I wrote is in the context of marriage. Before getting into marriage, a man has wasted money on girlfriends, unnecessary social life, families etc, before he mastered the art of managing money, that is why marriage is often referred to as "settling down". The woman in the other hand who just graduated from school and got into marriage or even still undergraduate may not have had the opportunity to Make her own money and enjoy the luxury of spending it anyhow she wants. Her first experience might be the business the husband opened for her and she's likely to squander the capital; it's her first attempt. Do you know how many times the men started and failed before they mastered the rope? You just want to drag me into unnecessary argument. Look around you and tell me how many of such businesses that thrived? If you don't want to be mischievous, just look into your neighborhood and family and tell yourself how many of such businesses that survived into the second year |
InTheCloudySky:Look woman, I'm not an idealist. I'm telling you the reality that most women who have never had the opportunity to earn their own money will not do well at managing it when they're given such opportunity and you're here asking me about what I will teach my children. What is the correlation? |
FreeStuffsNG:I never said that every girl child is married out at the age of 18. I never said that African parents don't train their daughters. Read again |
FreeStuffsNG:I never said that every girl child is married out at 18. I never said that parents don't train their daughters. Read well |
FreeStuffsNG:This is Africa. The totality of the training given to a girl child centres on being a good wife and a good prospective mother. That is why, once a girl turns 18, she is ready for marriage. It is common to see a man and his family train a girl just so that he will marry her. Have you ever seen a girl training a boy so that he will marry her? If it happens, the ratio is nothing to write home about. Why do men marry late and women early? Because men should be materially ready before marriage, while a girl only need home training to be ready for marriage. So after marriage, the man still has the responsibility of empowering his wife |
Juanmike:A boutique owner who opens his shop in the morning and close it in the evening might not need to stay awake all night like a restaurant owner who selects beans at night, cook beans, wash utensils after closing shop by midnight and starts cooking again by 4 a.m |
