wizkidblogger:What nonesence. Canada is supporting MEdium and Small businesses with 75% salary argumentation so they do not sack employees. Additionally supporting their rents for 6 momths and cash transfer of $2000 for anyone who lost his job or business. What is the sense in slashing licence when it is already issued? Or are they going to refund the ones they already collected? |
The money Oshomole don use marry lara. Whete una wan recover that one? ![]() |

Hahahahahaha... childish play. All Kababa would have avoided by just three words "I am sorry" have cost him his source of income and now required to pay N18m. Some people need to come to terms that a seating governor is ver5 powerful. Every gpver is not an Ambode. |

Sorrento finds a coronavirus antibody that blocks viral infection 100% in preclinical lab experiments Darrell Etherington @etherington / 9:00 am EDT•May 15, 2020 Shielding Image Credits: Getty Images Therapeutics company Sorrento has made what it believes could be a breakthrough in potential treatment of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that leads to COVID-19. The company released details its preclinical research on Friday, announcing that it has found an antibody that provides “100% inhibition of SARS-CoV-2 virus infection of healthy cells after four days incubation.” These results are from a preclinical study that still has to undergo peer review, and in an in vitro laboratory study (meaning not in an actual human being) but still a promising development as the company continues to work on production of an antibody “cocktail” that could provide protection against SARS-CoV-2 even in case of mutations in the virus. Sorrento says that they believe this antibody, which is labelled STI-1499, stood out among billions of candidates it has been screening from its extensive human antibody library for its ability to completely block the interaction of the SARS-CoV-2’s spike protein with a human cell target receptor. That means it prevents the virus from attaching to the host’s healthy cell, which is what leads to incubation and infection. The nature of the antibody’s efficacy means that Sorrento currently believes it will be the first antibody to be included in the cocktail it is developing, which will be made up of a large number of different antibodies that show efficacy in blocking the attachment of the spike protein, in order to provide multiple avenues of protection that are designed to remain effective even if the virus mutates in transmission from person to person, or within the same individual. One of the big outstanding questions that researchers are working on answering currently is just how mutagenic SARS-CoV-2 actually is, since many coronaviruses like the common cold show a tendency to mutate pretty quickly, rendering long-lasting cures and treatments difficult to develop. Sorrento’s COVID-SHIELD is meant to address this through a potent mix of different antibodies that provide protection against different strains of the virus, but the company says it will also be pursuing development of the STI-1499 antibody on its own as a dedicated, standalone therapy. The company is already in discussion with regulators about how to expedite development of that potential treatment, and is ramping its production capacity as well with the goal of producing as many as one million doses at the same time it pursues FDA approval for its use. It’s definitely worth cautioning that no treatment or vaccine is likely to be a ‘magic bullet’ in treating SARS-CoV-2 or COVID-19, but this is still a promising development, and one to watch as it undergoes clinical trials and the therapeutic development and regulatory process. |
Have you seen people advertising salt? Good products need no advert. If you know you know. Nobody gives others way to wealth for free. Longrich is a Long ...way to riches. Buyer beware!! I have said mine own. |
Who are the stranded Nigerians in Canada ![]() |
There is always fraudulence in this system, especially anything handle by some people. What is really wrong with Nigeria? Why can't we do things right for once? Every country is doing their best to curb the virus, ours is to steal, deceive, present falsified data, etc. Who is NCDC trying to deceive? Even the lockdown has been haphazard. Today, one state will start and the neighboring state will be open. Next week, the lockdown will be relaxed and cases rise, then another uncoordinated lockdown. With this senseless approach the lockdown will continue tlll September. I just pity Lagosians. Things cannot become normal for a really long time. |

Praxtech:Because you wont vote for him. Instead you will vote Buhari and be defending his failure. |
fabuloz1:Abegi ... which one Mr President do? With all the billions they are calling as donation, no test kits. Yet they are begging IMF for loan today, then next day, ask for debt forgiveness. Confusion! |
Clean and clear analysis. If you are not satisfied, go to Edo State to verify the acquisitions. Building a hospital and equipping same within 12 days is not moi-moi. 32 Ventilators alone plus shipping and clearing in this pandemic would cost about alot as it is in high demand. KN95 mask costs about $3 and when you buy 10000 to ship to Africa, it is a lot. |
StrongandMighty:AS and AC can get SC. SC is a Sickler and suffers anaemia just like SS. |
bolaayenimo:I read it wella! |
bobkezel:I mean if you got three vidoes, I am wondering how many audios you did not get. |
Renida:Ikpe azu in my dialect means last position. So Abia should not blame anyone ![]() |
ashacot:Very unintelligent analysis. Your federal allocation committee that you now leaders like Amaechi, Fashola, Oshomole, etc where busy taking to court to share the money. How many states was PDP controlling then? The crop of APC states took about 50% of the allocation. What have they to show for it? Go to all APC states and aggregate all their earnings from federation account. Yet they are owing Trillions like Lagos. Now APC has budgetted over 50T in five years with nothing to show for it. No new power project. All the once PDP handed over to them are in comatose. Now system collapse is like changing wrapper. Yet you blame discos. No new rail. All they are doing is selling Nigeria future to the Chinese. No new housing projects. FG staff now pray for salaries. I hope you are prepared as fuel will start selling for N270 after the lockdown. APC = FAILURE |
OP, if only 40m Nigerians have BVN, what stop government from pulling data from INEC and National ID? Why arbitrary list of people we cannot verify? How do you know if Mr A collects twice, thrice. Where is accountability? Well if only 40m have BVN use that. It means the rest do not pay taxes. Once we start using BVN for benefit transfer, the rest over 18 years will be motivated to have one. Simple! What I know is that BVN will expose the population frauds in Nigeria. Other countries use PIN/SIN etc. Every bitth that is registered must hsve an identification number that follows him/her for life. Well OP Defend as much as you will. This will be the beginning of the next probe and all those involved will vomit everything including assets they acquired worldwide. Except the world ends before APC is booted out of office. Just go and get ready for jail.. |
Politics aside, I think Nigeria was better off under PDP. This APC government has ruined everything. From education to Healthcare, economy, infrastructure, etc everything is running backwards. They are now scamming Nigeria with Social Investment Programme (SIP). A country without database, how can they account for it? Who are the recipients and how were they determined? Now the economy is bleeding without oil money. I am sure the next recession will last 3 years as nothing is on ground. Dr Adesina programme in Agriculture was dismantled by APC's archaic Agric minister. Now food shortage stares Nigeria on the face while Lai Mohammed keeps taunting none existent rice farms and hollow pyramids. Even PDP governors are doing better. Imagine Lagos with huge IGR has nothing to offer. In two years Sanwo Olu has been pointing fingers. Now he has a good excuse on COVID19 for very poor performance. The few roads Fashola and Ambode constructed, most of which are are 2 inch thick by the way, are giving way already. No water, no electricity, nothing. This is why some Nigerians cannot return home from abroad. Imagine a governor talking of creating App to identify COVID 19 carriers while others like PDP's Zamfara are building isolation centres and acquiring test kits and ventilators. Check out states like Ekiti, Imo, Kwara, Kogi, Nasarawa, Bornu, etc that are under APC, their governors are just there to feed their families fat and owe salaries while waiting for FG bailout. No initiatives, nothing. I know you will say whatever about Ikpeazu. Well PDP cannot have it all good but the best of APC are in Ikpeazu's class. |
Amorprincesa24:Exactly, Femi Adesina should be asked to prevail on the Fulani Herdsmen to allow farmers plant and harvest their crops in peace. Since the farmers have not accepted to give up their land or die as he suggested. I think the FG have a lot to do to avert crisis of food shortage. Not just asking farmers to return to the farm, but should also guarantee their security. |
First you are in love with poverty. You want to saddle your young life with 4 mouths to feed plus school5 fees for another man. Secondly, you turn enemy to God (a brass ceiling will be raised over your heaven) for defiling another man's wife. Thirdly, you have man to contend with. For you took a man's wife of his youth. Ask David what he experienced with Uriah's wife. A generational curse. Bro, it is not worth it. Go and look for an unmarried woman. They are in millions out there. Leave another man's wife. Forget the nude pictures and all the stories she is giving you. When she succeds in ruining your life, she will tell another man your story to gain him also. A word is enough for the wise. However, like the proverbial dog that wants to get lost, you may not heed your master's whistle. |
No Kano again. Hope that state won't become the epicenter in Africa? Both governor and the governed are just plain careless. |

My question sha ... how does Foursquare ordain their Pastors and deacons I know three that are not qualified morally or spiritually to be ordained a born again Christian talk more of deacon. God forgive us Christians who use the name of Christ in ain. |
Nigerians should just prepare for 45 days lockdown with very very disastrous testing and COVID management programme. I am not a prophet of doom but I foresee serious challenges in Nigeria. The testimg is so poor, people are lackadaisical, government is in disarray, healthcare professionals lack dedication. COVID that humbled New Yorkers is being caressed by Nigerians. I shiver in fear. |

Ratger let him be arrested, tried to expose his sponsors and sentenced to death by firing squard along with all conspirators. |
I think most respondents missed the point. The robbers use POS machine for pin confirmation. Banks should move a step further by ensuring that ATM are: 1. Made inaccesible from dusk to dawn 2. Withdrawals during such times should require authetication token obtainable by biometric means. Most ATMs have finger print recognition botton but our laziness does no make us activate it. 3. POS should be made to store data about any card slotted for which a PIN was entered 4. Commercial Banks and Other POS issuers should require holders to submit electronic activities reports on monthly basis failing which such machines are blocked 5. The Police should rise to the occasion. This is the simplest case to crack. |
