FamilyRe: Sweet Mama/grandma, I Non Wow Forget You. by vanitty: 3:10pm On Dec 18, 2010
Grandma, she was the loveliest woman in the world. I loved her so much,we were friends, real friends. Even with the cultural and age difference.

Momo was a big business woman, she had two shops in Ilorin , one selling bags of rice, beans, garri e.t.c and the other selling pack of frozen turkey, chicken, fish e.t.c. I remember in those days, anytime I go to her shop, she will give me 500 naira food money during lunch hour to go and eat  and I could get rice, beans and meat for just 10 naira in those days lol

I have so many good memories of my momo, she was so protective of me - especially if i follow her to the village, and she was a very good cook but I remember she use to put "iru" -  i think it is called melon seed in almost all her food , stew, jollof rice, soup o . She made the best kunu as well and her favorite snacks to eat were "asala" , kolanut and waara (cheese - sort off).

She has a space in my heart forever, her  picture is the centrepiece in my home

All the monies just passed her by, she couldn't have a solid investment/business whatever just in case of situation  like this.

Foreign AffairsRe: Heavy Student riots in London, Police and Prince Charles attacked by vanitty: 6:12pm On Dec 14, 2010
I completely disagree. I absolutely love the royal family tradition, it is the only damn tangible tradition I see this people have to be honest. Even if you think they don't do naff all. I certainly am not complaining, majority of the masses are not complaining. I remember reading it somewhere quite long ago that every taxpayer contributes just 50p or thereabout to the royal family.

FashionRe: Africa Not Fashionable Enough. Seriously ? by vanitty: 5:58pm On Dec 12, 2010
Why must we glorify mediocrity. Assuming the pics were amazing, then we can say "oh racism at work", but they are not so I guess we will never know!
The first picture is just a pisstake in my opinion undecided but with lots of efforts and hardwork, he will get there kiss
FashionRe: Africa Not Fashionable Enough. Seriously ? by vanitty: 4:17pm On Dec 12, 2010
I don't blame them jare, they are just protecting their brand's name.

I just checked the website, you pasted the wrong pictures LOL. There are some amazing pictures on there, I love the jungle fever & the grace-jones-look-alike ones. Good luck to the dude
FashionRe: Africa Not Fashionable Enough. Seriously ? by vanitty: 3:20pm On Dec 12, 2010
The red top looks like very normal. Was that actually the front cover undecided
The silver top looks brown mat (eni) painted silver and too much bosoms on display
The middle one . . I like, but it is not mind blowing or extraordinary in any way
And in all three, the photoshopping is too obvious.
Foreign AffairsRe: Heavy Student riots in London, Police and Prince Charles attacked by vanitty: 4:17pm On Dec 10, 2010
No they didn't
Although I voted for labour but those that voted for Nick Cleggs were under the impression that he was going to stop the tuition fee increase not triple it! undecided
It is my younger sis I really feel sorry for. ~9000 per annum is too much. The poor girl will be in massive debt even before she starts her career. I remember my own time cheesy Yea definitely had it very easy unlike nowadays
Foreign AffairsRe: Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange Arrested In Uk by vanitty: 12:21pm On Dec 10, 2010
Ridiculous charges, glaringly obvious why he is been detained.
I won't be surprised to see millions of people rallying for him, now isn't Russia calling for Julian Asange to be given nobel prize cheesy
When the going was good, he was being given awards, now that the table is turned and he has some dirts on the supposedly "big guns", he is now a effin terrorist, reminds me of this song cry cry baby  grin grin

Foolosh Foolish student. Now the media is filled with that rather than what they were prostesting against undecided

CrimeRe: A Nigerian Student Shot And Killed In Us by vanitty: 11:59pm On Dec 05, 2010
Some have memorised & can quote the bible from Genesis to Revelation and still are clueless on what being a christian is really all about. I like to think of them as history student. Common sense should tell you that there is a time for everything and this thread is not for you to show your bible knowledge. Didn't God say not to pass judgement on anyone?!

PoliticsMy National Assembly Candidacy by vanitty(op): 10:02pm On Dec 01, 2010
Following the furore over National Assembly pay, I propose the following:

A candidacy based on the idea that 95 per cent of the pay and allowances that I might get
from serving will be used directly in the community. So if elected as a senator, and if it is also
true each senator gets as much as 100 million in a year, then 95 million naira would go directly
to repairing schools, hospitals or roads etcetera in the constituency. No bureaucracy and all very
open to scrutiny.
PoliticsRe: Did Anyone See Sanusi & Aganga On Tv Answering Furious Senators? by vanitty: 9:43pm On Dec 01, 2010
@ROSSIKE

First you start by defending them saying they did this and did that and then when that did not wash moved to talking about a national culture.

Its very clear you have some sort of association with the National Assembly. Don't know why you deny it. Perhaps because you don't want curses rained on your head too. But you need not worry about that. Your private parts are already assured of being bloated beyond measure.  grin grin

Stop making excuses for him. He failed a simple mathematics. He missed were the decimal should have been. That he have been calculating our banking regulations grin grin grin
Are you trying to score cheap points or actually learn something.

Sanusi clearly was referring to the recurrent expenditure.
