See traffic below, my goodness. When you get down to the road, you will see that a lack of maintenance coupled with lack of law and order causes this. Some traffic lights don’t work, and of course, there is never any police officer enforcing laws, hence chaos. At least during Ambodes time when he introduced those 112 police squad cars, the police was very enthusiastic about pulling people over. Any small thing, they’ve pulled you over. Now, danfos run amok, running red lights, stopping everywhere, with no law enforcement even turning around to look at them. Then as always, due to a complete and utter lack of law and order, drivers will turn a 3 lane road into a 6 lane road, leading to multiple minor accidents, halt on free flow of traffic and so on. All this can be solved, it’s so simple, just have the police stop each and every car they can that breaks the law. Laws like running red lights, driving on the bush path of the road and so on. That way you eliminate a bunch of the chaos and traffic on this route. I really wish I was in charge sometimes. May God help us and bless us.

Have you ever seen a democratically elected president that has majorly avoided the press like Buhari? Remember during GEJs time when he used to have media chats Look at how Trump was always answering questions from the media Even Biden that has a reputation of hiding from the media still takes questions much, much more frequently than Buhari. Buhari really doesn’t care, as Femi Adesina will say, “It’s not his style”. It’s not the style of Buhari to comfort, console, update... Nigerians. This guy has bastardized that position so badly. Now it is an event anytime Buhari wants to speak to the press, every 6 months. He will sit down with his slippers all relaxed while quivering reporters field inane questions. Even if I don’t totally support Osinbajo as he is also a part of this government, I applaud him for going around and being engaged back then during Buharis absence. This guy even entered toilet of airport like “surprise modafvkers!”. I just wonder why Osinbajo stopped doing all that. We need that kind of president that is not afraid to enter into “regular” society to see how things are operating. What we have no is a far cry away from that. What we have now, won’t even talk to media, always issuing statements via proxy no matter what happens. Even when mass killings happen, all you get is a statement. Remember the famous funny line “There is God ooo”. At least she cared enough to wail to the public and not be completely and utterly silent. Who would have thought we’d be going from bad to “worstestest”? |
Felicity0001:Lol, bros I no go sell my car ooo. I still love it, I just need to do maintenance that’s all. Thanks for your advice bro, I just had to get working ac fast, and now I’m earning higher making up for my loses. God bless bro!! |
Felicity0001:I had to pause my quest to restore my ac system to factory standards as it was just going to cost too much for now. Being that I didn’t want to miss out on making money this period with a bad compressor, I just went ahead and replaced the compressor with another cheap manual compressor. Replaced the condenser as well, as mine was clogged badly. I discovered it was clogged when I hosed the condenser and it still had wet spots on it after a while with the ac running. There were severe temperature differences in close proximity across the condenser surface, meaning parts were clogged and refrigerant wasn’t flowing through some sections. In fact, the first three rows were all at ambient temperature, which was a HUUGE red flag. Anyways, I think I just bought myself six months at least to save up again for the new compressor as I have used up my “car maintenance” savings on this repair. Testing with my probe thermometer shows about 17 degrees Celsius coming out the vents now, and like 24 degrees after 5 minutes on a hot afternoon, obviously dropping with time. Now I can drive in the afternoon again, yay! Note that you don’t really have to change the evaporator, but it can be flushed cause most of the compressor debris material would first clog up your condenser and the filter/dryer should catch most big chunks along with the orifice/expansion valve. So I wouldn’t flush a condenser but replace it, but I would flush an evaporator.

Black man cutting ribbon and hiring naked dancers because of a 1-2 kilometer road. Not because they are going to space ooo Or because they just invented some new shhh Noooooo Chai! |
White man with gun: You black people of different tribes must be joined together so that we have better access to your resources. Black man (Nigerian): Yes Maser! We will remain together no matter what, even if we must kill 3 million people, we must uphold your decision Maser! Thank you Maser! |
mrvitalis:You have spoken very well. Meanwhile see others on the thread already making jokes. Everything is just a joke to Nigerians, even suffering. |
ictplotter:Don’t you feel compassion for the lady at all? In this case, she was trying to do the right thing by enforcing law and order. Do you know how far law and order will take Nigeria? People in this country just pretend everyday that all is well when it clearly isn’t. We live in a completely insane society, to the point we’re we can’t even feel any sympathy for the lone officer that’s trying to do the right thing. |
Techguy96:I believe in Jesus, that doesn’t make me illogical, but even more scientific. Jesus himself was a builder, a carpenter to be precise. So I can believe in Jesus and also want to build a better society. You should question everything and any religion, and I have and can not find anything wrong with the life Jesus lived on earth. He did not fornicate, lust, kill, steal, cheat, lie and was a model character. So please shelve that belief that once you believe in Jesus, it means you must be backward and not want a great society. |
Look at this video from this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/6879395/man-accused-turning-students-yams Not one person among the whole crowd could even speak up and ask logical questions, like how did he turn children into yam. So you are telling me these are the people that will choose leaders for the few Nigerians that want the best for the country? Do these guys even understand issues that need fixing? I’m sure when you mention things like needing a society with closed gutters instead of open gutters everywhere, one were danfo is punished for running red traffic lights at will, supply of water to homes and so on..., these ones will just be looking at you like “what is this one even saying?” We have such a long way to go. Great and sincere leadership at all levels can do wonders for us, but people like this make it almost impossible to get leaders that will tackle the issues. These are the ones that awon Tinubu, Atiku dem will just share rice to and they believe it’s magic rice that will last 4 years. These are the ones that would never vote outside their tribe, even if their tribe presents the devil and the other tribe presents an Angel capable of making the society great and uplifting their lives in the process. It’s already 2021!!! If we were still in 1950 or so, maybe I could understand, but now we have electric cars, the internet, smartphones, people going to space, movies with mind blowing budgets like the Avengers... yet, it seems Nigeria is halted even while having access to all these things. May God save us from ourselves! |
Pearl1910:Thanks bro!! |
Just got a used ac pressure switch and compressor plug in anticipation of getting my new automatic compressor God willing. This ac repair is proving to be expensive but I just want to get it right once and for all. When the Kazeem put a manual compressor in my car, they had cut the original compressor harness termination plug. Didn’t have access to 5v to test this used switch when buying but I hope it works, else I’d have to get a new one. So that means I’d have to drain the system, fix the switch and gas up again, then repeat when the compressor comes, chai! But I dream of driving in the afternoon with cool ac, that’s what’s keeping me going through all these diagnostics and repair. I forgot I would also need new lines to go with the compressor and a new expansion valve, and maybe a new condenser, but I hope not cause the one I have still works. God help me! God help us all!

Reflect7:Yet I’m sure that when you took a bath this morning, it was either tanker water or borehole water that you used. Ordinary pipeborne water, you haven’t seen, yet you feel you are making progress. Bro, I’m talking about water, just water. Look at all houses in lekki fitted with borehole left and right. Even an apartment in banana island, I witnessed when water tanker came to supply them water. |
No paperwork and straight to account number? Hmm https://i.pinimg.com/originals/67/df/7e/67df7efdc9740c079cf529f77e8d4d58.gif |
komodapson:Haha, tearing ACL while pressing accelerator, hahahaha... oh my days. When you watch the replay in slowmo, the way the accelerator pedal defeated your yam legs. But on a serious note though, health is indeed wealth. That is such a deep saying that a lot of people take for granted, myself included. |
habsydiamond:It’s the lawlessness that gets me. Total and complete lawlessness like a Hollywood armageddon script. Even if you catch someone stealing money live on camera, no law enforcement is ready to act, unless it’s jungle justice which brings us back to the case of Armageddon and all man for himself. I pray for Nigeria and the black race men, surely we can not go on this way, surely! |
komodapson:You forgot to state how much you earned while anting for a day. |
Honestly, it seems you need a ton, or maybe 2 tons, of patience to be an ehailing driver. Almost like sage level patience. I was to take this lady somewhere on bolt and she requested to make a stop at a store to which I obliged. So we got to the store and I parked at the front, she then requested that no I should park right on a tiny one car driveway right in front of the store. It is kinda hard to explain without drawing a picture, but in terms of distance, the difference in meters would have been like 3 meters, I kid you not! I told her gently, I am right in front of the store already and you said you quickly wanna go grab something. She was like Oga, re-park and enter here. I was just thinking like, really, what difference would it make? Unless you just want to be a difficult, controlling and condescending somebody. I just told her that no I’m not re-parking and I am canceling the ride. It’s almost like some riders want you to be their slaves. Although these kind of experiences are always balanced out by nice/indifferent riders, but when you come across a difficult rider, it always just changes moods or maybe it’s just me. |

komodapson:Just got home and everyone here is telling me the same thing, thankfully the conductors punch to my face was weak sauce, and I didn’t get stabbed, but sigh. How long are we supposed to adapt to lawlessness? How long my brother? No repercussions for anything in this Naija. Even the mass killing that occur, have you ever seen a court case whereby those responsible are being held to account? |
ZombiePUNISHER:As in, no one even raises an eyebrow, such a jungle. Just today, I fought with a danfo guy and had to retreat for fear of being stabbed. The danfo guy ran his red light, causing the scuffle between me, him and the conductor. To my surprise, not one person came to stand by my side. Even the passengers of the bus that ran the red light were all abusing me for punching the driver. No one could tell the driver that running a red light is bad, instead it was me who was the “werey” Injustices in big and small things in Naija men, it’s so sad. Even forget all the gruesome unsolved murders that happen on a daily basis. Ordinary traffic light, you will see danfo an other vehicles running the lift and NOBODY WILL STOP THEM, why? God why? Why does it have to be this way. You can’t try that shhh in Dubai, U.S or other countries where they respect laws, but come to Nigeria and you are free to be an animal. So much so that you can have mass burials for victims of terrorists and not one terrorist is held responsible till date. I’m just tired men, I need to be calming down, but men I’m pissed. |
Argue with yourselves What a useless country. People are killed, no one is arrested People run red light in traffic, no one is stopped. What kind of jungle is this? Anything goes here in this bastardized nation, God forbid! |
Got in a fight with a danfo guy today Punched him, while his conductor punched me back. What happened? He ran the red light and was insulting me on top. Gosh, such a lawless society we live in, I couldn’t take it anymore. Of course I know I need to calm down cause something bad might have happened to me as the driver was already reaching for scissors, but I was just sooo angry Why are we so lawless in Naija? Why? God why? I wish I had a gun, I would have shot him instantly |
Coming from another thread where people are arguing over the value of one pound, I had to ask the above question. First off, when was the last time you actually saw one naira? If you are fortunate to have one naira with you right now, and you go out into town, what can you purchase with it?
|
I was going to open a thread on the same issue. Why can’t they use the funds to build infrastructure that we can all see? Use the funds for a month to do a federal road in the east, then in the west the next month and so on. How many solar panels can 200 billion buy? If a 250 watt solar panel costs 50k Then 200bln divided by 50k will give 4 million units of 250 watt solar panels. 4 million multiplied by 250watts will give 1,000,000,000 watts of electricity or 1,000,000 kilowatts of electricity or 1000 megawatts of electricity. If you add 1,000 megawatts of electricity to the grid for 1 year, you’d have 12,000 megawatts of fully renewable electricity from the SUN. But instead, they want to share the money to nameless, faceless people, that cannot be traced. The black man is just a special breed I tell you. We are so corrupt. Only a few people are ready to do the right thing, while the majority scream Buhari, Tinubu, Atiku... without even asking questions. It’s sad really, almost makes me cry sometimes realizing I’m surrounded by Nigerians. |
holatin:Exterminator of corruption?? Chai! This is how you guys always market wicked people. Now I’m sure you’ve moved on to Tinubu and Atiku, calling them saviors when it’s obvious they are the same old corrupt bunch. My own is that, why won’t Nigerians ever learn? Is it that you guys just want to suffer forever, and want your children to suffer even more than you? You are all so wicked in this country with your votes, wicked evil electorate. |
Banmeallday:As in... they don’t even have light or water, but they see not having these things as normal and prefer to lay down on gutter roads for evil politicians to walk on their backs. Insane |
