Good evening Engineers and Bosses.

My Honda city 2006 model have been battling with Nozzle, Fuel Pump and plugs issues due to hard starting issues since last month.

The car have been experiencing Hard starting lately and when mechanics check, they say it's the plugs that it's overfloating and the nozzle isn't good.

So I was told to replace the fuel pump and nozzle, I had already replaced the Plugs 28th February this year, So I replaced the fuel pump twice within a week, the first one worked for 3 days and then I got another one both are V8 fuel pumps though the car is V4 cylinder ( which was the last type of fuel pump I used and it lasted 6months before I had this issue, though not the exact brand of the V8 pump).

But just less than 3 weeks I am experiencing the same hard starting again and it started when I didn't start the car for between 18 -20hours of no usage last week.

I had bought Original GPower Plugs at ₦7,000 for the 4 pieces, this February, but now the Hard Starting seems worse than the 3 times I experienced it last month after I took it to a mechanic yesterday. The plugs and nozzles were cleaned yet the car isn't firing well even when it starts, it takes time to cold run smoothly.

Please what can be done to remedy the issues. I have used the same car for over 18 months with no single record of hard starting before now though was using a 4 cylinder fuel pump initially before switching to a V8 fuel pump after the last 4 cylinder fuel pump had issues and I was advertised by Rewires that V8 will be better for the car and correct some of the issues I was having when I start the car in the mornings and when I am climbing the hilly bad road to my house slowly on my way back home.

Have you scanned this car? Or mechanic will tell you buy this part, buy that part and you will buy?

Pls! I have a problem with my Elantra 08, it vibrate at 30/40 when accelerating have change 2 shaft within 3weeks same problem so definitely the problem is not shaft cos alignment pple will always tell the problem is from shaft cup,no engine light or code from the car.

Did u get a solution to this

Thats cool, i love the tsx but i was advised to steer clear of it because of spare parts, that's why am asking

The parts are available. People say the parts might be pricey but the shaft i changed cost less than EOD shaft.

My TSX is just a re-badged Euro honda for North America. I have used it for a year and the only thing I have changed is just a shaft. I got it from ladipo. But oyingbo is the market for honda in lagos. So whatever you seek should be found there.

I use Camry 2005 and consume 6liters for 60km drive everyday to and from work

After the whole business I still called him to ask for price for plate number, I just wanted to use that to see if he will have a change of heart and try to be at least honest but guess what ?? He took the bait and fell yakata 😂 he said he did his own plate number for 60-70k I think, he said his car is tokunbo but for my car that's naija used, I should budget 85k for plate number 😂 ole, he thinks after what went down that very day, I will still patronize him for plate number again God forbid.

I later did the plate number for 35k.

Top of the day to my lovely honda family... please I have an issue with my 2006 honda civic, it has confused both my mechanic and rewire but i haven't allowed them to do anything about it so as not to trigger more problems.

My car slips everytime it wants to change from any gear, most especially when I put more pressure on it. It now drives like a manual car.

My rewire did some checks and we noticed that light is not supplying to one of the gear solenoids. (He said it's the brain box that supplies the light so the brainbox is faulty). Out of four sockets that connects to the solenoids, a particular one doesn't have light..

I'm confused if I'm to agree with him to get a new brain box..

Issues like this, you scan the car. It will help you narrow it down to the fault instead of doing guess-work.

The first thing you need is a sound mechanic.

Look for a used 2003-2005 Nissan Almera Tino to buy and don't pay more than 600-700k for it no matter what the seller says. Use another 700k to overhaul the car, change the engine, gear, suspension, tires, battery, etc. Reverse all wiring back to the way it came from the factory.

It should serve you for 6-12 months before you start having issues with it. Good luck.

Driving since then, my oil life is now showing 40 percent on the dashboard, hope that is normal within that time till now because I know before next week it must have reduced and due for servicing. Question is, is the car oil usage OK?

Secondly yesterday I noticed an oil on the oil pan underneath the car. Not like the oil is dripping on the floor but on the pan, please what could be the cause. I'm new to using a car. This car was my first.
