2. You shouldn’t allow your children to go to the barracks with your wife. Apart from taking them away from the school they’re currently going, they will be exposed to vices in the barracks that are not going to their growth and moral wellbeing.

3. Husband and wife should always try to be together if they want to secure their love. Once your wife leaves you to the barracks, her love for you will begin to dwindle, same as yours for her. You will most likely look for another woman since your wife isn’t always around. This will create a room for separation or even divorce.

In conclusion, since you said the job is not lucrative and it’s even more like a curse, I’ll strongly advise that you tell your wife to resign. I’m sure she will resist you telling her to resign. This right here is the problem with dating or marrying a single mother. A man needs to be extra careful with everything he does around the child and how he talks to the child. @Poster, the road directly in front of your house is an extension of your house. I’m sure you know it is not only you that have a car. Most people in those houses that you packed your car on the front of their compounds most likely also have cars and they’ll need to move their cars out. What if your car is obstructing them when they want to move out? You don’t just go packing your car in front of peoples houses simply because you think the road is govt road. I’m sure you live in a house, pack your car in your compound. There’s always a right place to park your car. I have a car and I know this. Always know the right thing to do and do it. @Poster, I’m from Edo State too, so I’m going to advice you like a brother. I would’ve advised you to go to Benin for the 200k while your salary in Lagos is 250k. I read where you said your company is ready to increase your salary to 350k. If that is true and you trust them, you should remain in that company. 350k is a very good salary in Nigeria and with good management you can save as much as 200k every month, even in Lagos. Don’t make the mistake of going to Benin if your company is going to pay you 350k.

@OP, this situation you’re can be good for you or can be very bad for you too. If I were you, I will try to go to the company and make first-hand research myself. Go to the company and look for people working there. Ask questions to know if the company is good for them or not. A company that ask you to sign that you won’t leave in 2 years may have something fishy they’re hiding. Maybe others use to run away from the company when they can’t take it anymore and this have made them draw a contract to bind you to them. Don’t go looking for a job and end up killing yourself. Engineering is a very stressful profession. As for the pay, it is very poor but since you’re a fresher you need to start from somewhere to gain experience. For now, you need to balance the workload with the pay. You shouldn’t be doing work of 500k while you’re being paid just 50k. Make adequate research first about that company before signing that contract paper.

@Poster, I see some people are saying divorce your wife or let her go. Don’t listen to them. You don’t have sufficient evidence to show that your wife is really having sexual relationship with your friend. You need to calm down and still make more investigations. Try to search your wife phone and social media messages, maybe you’ll see some concrete evidence if she’s really doing what you’re thinking. As for your friend, you need to stop any friendship with him. He should stop communicating with your wife for any reason at all. Try to bring your wife close with love, she might open up to you.

Nigeria is not a country where you can successfully do anything online. Corruption has made it impossible to do anything the right way in Nigeria. You must cut concerns by either going to meet someone in their office or look for an agent. It’s just like doing driver’s license or car registration. If you want to do it yourself, you will need to follow steps that will take months and at the end you may not still get. But give it to an agent and you’ll get it in a few days. Everything in Nigeria is about spending more money if you want to get what you’re looking for.

@Poster, this is what you should do. Don’t wait for ASUU. No one knows when they’ll call off the strike. Apply to different schools with your BSc. You could be lucky and get admission with one of them. Before your admission letter comes out and you start processing your visa maybe ASUU would’ve called off the strike. You can then continue while still processing your visa. But if they don’t call off the strike and your visa is approved, just cut your losses and japa.

Pls look for another job. You must not work in a hotel. 20k as a graduate is useless. I wonder what you can do with 20k. That Chinda you’re is a good location to get something doing. I know PH is kinda limited with jobs but you can help yourself. Those guys at Chinda bus stop driving keke makes good money daily. Search for schools around that pays a bit well. Expand your reach. Don’t settle for 20k a month.

@ Poster, most people may not want to help you for various reasons. From personal experience, the most common reason why people don’t want to give you link is that they don’t want you to waste your money or find life more difficult when you get there.

Let me tell you a little personal experience.

I schooled in one of the very commonly talked about country (Malaysia). When I wanted to go there, it was painted as a country filled with milk and honey. Sadly people still believe that Malaysia is a country filled with milk and honey till today. Nobody will tell you the sad truth about the country. I got to experience the harsh realities of that country when I was there. There are many drawbacks about that country that people don’t talk about. Only a good friend or family member over there will tell you the truth. You can be in that country for years and not still find your feet. I won’t allow my enemy to go to that country talk less of my friend or family member.

Most countries are suffering right now. No one will tell you unless your good friends or family members. You can only succeed in most countries if you already have an established person over there. While you’re eager to travel out, make sure you know exactly what you’re going to do there and make detailed findings about the country first so that you don’t experience suffering that is far worse than Nigeria.

It seems you’re leaving in a face me I slap you compound. In such compound, you will see different things that will get you upset. @poster, you sound desperate to get his your Toyota car and the way you sound you may be scammed or get a bad car. Calm down and take your time to search. When I wanted to buy my car last year it took me months after searching before I finally got a very good car that hasn’t given me any issue till today. I’m in PH but bought mine in Lagos. Car is about engine. A car may be clean but the engine is very bad.

For now, go back to PH. A friend went to Lagos last week to get this same Corolla but he couldn’t find a good one that meets his budget. He came back to PH without buying. If you have a friend or family member in Lagos tell them to search for you. You can also contact car dealers in PH. Take your time to search. Cars are now very expensive, don’t use your money to buy rubbish. Also, don’t make the mistake of driving an unregistered car to PH from Lagos. Policemen and Customs on the way will use you shine.

Take the other job of 60k with a free apartment. It is expensive to rent a place these days. After 6 months, they might increase your salary to over 100k if you perform well during the probation period. Don’t make the mistake of remaining in the insurance company for just 40k. You will most likely never get that million commission you’re anticipating. That is just a scam to keep you there.
