The 2nd pic is not Lagos. And the areas of Lagos you are showing is just 1/20 of the city which is very wealthy. Majority of Lagos don’t look like that. This is the 21st century, everyone now has access to google.

Edit: Good. Now you changed the 2nd picture to Lagos island. This is for those who didn’t see the original picture.
You created this thread, so you know what the topic is.
The next thing, one idiiot who anything Igbo drives him bonkers posted pictures of Lagos (where we are talking about IGBO VILLAGES) and you entertained his nuisance... sad
Next, he is flooding the thread with unrelated videos.
C'mon man, thought you are better than this.
PoliticsRe: If You Love Nigeria by whirlwind7(m): 5:47pm On May 18, 2019
Hypocrisy is their strongest forte in Nigeria.

Everyone knows the country is headed for doom, so each successive government tries to milk the country as much as they can while paying lip service to fighting corruption and improving the economy...until the inevitable implosion comes.

A House that can be Renovated in lawanson by surulere, chita axis,

budget 10m to 12m.
Direct brief Pls no long chain

contact /whatsapp.. 07033848502
If your client doesn't mind a 4 bedroom bungalow on a half plot (will need some internal fixes) with C of O, but located near Ronik polytechnic at Ejigbo....then hit me up.
This location gives easy access to international airport road via Ajao Estate, and the flyover at Cele bustop along Oshodi-Apapa expressway links you up with Ijesha and Surulere easy.

Moreover, I doubt you can get a property of such description within Surulere at that budget. I may be wrong though.

Can you explain a little further, pls?

So much noise, signifying nothing. Nigeria is projected by PwC to be the world's 3rd most populous country after China and India by 2050, with the 14th largest economy on earth, and with an annual GDP of 3.3 trillion USD. That's a big deal, whether you like it or not.

It will make it a major magnet for international investment. The country's future is very bright. The clampdown on corruption by the Buhari administration is a huge factor in our optimism. The East African Federation will challenge for investor attention, making it a possible economic threat to Nigeria. Then again, the two could form a creative trade partnership that could help them both, a bit like Nigeria and South Africa are doing at the moment.
Now I see where you're coming from.
Sorry I engaged you in the first place. Nah me miss road.

Do you want to be the protector or the protected? That is the question. You choose to be small, you'll be someone's bitch.

Your logic is flawed
Nigeria is big, but has become everyone's bitch. Figure that out.

Nigeria is a protector of whom now?
That glory age where it played big brother to neighboring countries (via ECOMOG) is long gone. As it is now, Nigeria cannot protect itself anymore.

You call those smaller European countries America's bitch cheesy
Very funny.

Why don't you read up about those countries in same Wikipedia and ask yourself if a middle class family there will be willing to trade places with your so called "rich men" here.

The reason why those East African countries are forming alliances is not so they can challenge Nigeria's dominance. That doesn't factor in anymore. Just Ghana is getting it right, and will have Nigeria grovelling at its feet in another decade of steady development.

Typical Igbo always bragging about what doesn't matter, who ask you questions about how you are living your life? It is very obvious you are one wretched Igbo because no one ask questions about how you are living your life.

Many of your people are pushing Wheel Barrows, selling Meat pie, Fan Milk under hot Sun and in traffic all over Yoruba Lands, poverty stricken Igbo talking about living life to the fullest, that's ironic

With the millions of people killed from gun shots, have you advocated for its ban?
Gun has only one purpose: to kill. Right? Why haven't you cried over that yet?

Sniper on the other hand, is an insecticide. So is Mobil, Raid, Sheltox, Mortein, etc....even (believe it or not) kerosene.
So, start afresh and tell us what you wanted banned. You should include everything that men could use as a tool to commit suicide. Include ropes, knives, razor blades, rat poison, acid, fire, tall buildings, telecom masts, cars, rivers, oceans....keep counting.

PoliticsRe: Comparing Rivers State And Rwanda (PHOTOS) by whirlwind7(m): 7:03am On May 07, 2019
Bede2u:
Analysis

Though landlocked and densely populated, Rwanda is a developing country that has undergone rapid industrialisation thanks to successful government policy. Since the early-2000s, Rwanda has witnessed an economic boom improving the living standards of many Rwandans. The Government’s progressive visions have been the catalyst for the fast transforming economy. The President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, has noted his ambition to make Rwanda the "Singapore of Africa".

Bounded by the Atlantic ocean and having large deposits of hydro carbon, glass and silica sand, Rivers state is one of the most naturally endowed parts of Africa. It produces 50% of Nigeria's crude oil. However from the statistics above, it is clear that life in this very beautiful part of Africa is not better than life in Rwanda which has very little natural resources and land.

It shows again why seperatism in Nigeria is not a bad politics. Nigeria is too large and diverse to cordinate and develope a modern society. Ethnic tensions and religious intolerance contributes to keep the beautiful people of Nigeria down.

The South East of Nigeria which has clamoured for Biafra for years are always reminded that they are landlocked and with little oil. But here is Rwanda, a landlocked African Nation without resources (except its beautiful people) that survived a brutal genocide, gradually draging itself out of poverty without oil.

Think on this today.
There's actually nothing much to think.
Those with discernment and functional brain knows that being landlocked is not an issue.

How long will one listen to people who absolutely believe that a nation without natural resource will cease to exist?
The rest of Nigeria is apprehensive about Igbos leaving the contraption, hence they use such scare tactics about being landlocked. Halfwits among the Igbos bought into it. Their funeral.

See, no matter which way its viewed, the country cannot exist for much longer. Its horrible past has caught up with it.

Thank you Bro, the Awka estate is on hold till I find enough people that can raise the type of money to make us buy a portion of the city where we can develop immediately. I won't like to own estates in areas where I have to wait for development to catch up, I want a place where we can buy and build.
Permit me to say this wasn't your initial mindset smiley
I vividly recall you asserting about buying land on the cheap in the suburbs and wait as development gradually creeps in.
Now, don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with buying in an area you can build immediately. Somehow, I do believe you have noticed that the real estate sector (and every sector for that matter) has slowed down.

You can get a few individuals to key in and invest in a buy and immediately build scheme. But you can get more people to buy at much lower prices and wait for a few years. I am aware of the "buy and wait for a couple of years to build" which you floated, that isn't going according to initial plans/projections. This might have made you to shift your position. Believe me, the issue is pervasive all across the business environment.

Let's hope that there's improvement in the economy that would push both long term and immediate real estate development. There are times I think about it and get pissed. But, we all got to forge ahead. We will see the end of this present madness. That's for sure.

Even though these mining activities have been ongoing for several years, there is a catalyst that seem to make their activities more pronounced and more deadly in recent times.

It cannot be unconnected to the downtown in the economy. No improvement in commerce, finance, ICT, manufacturing and service delivery. Next drive is extracting and mining.
