People have been asking for Facebook, Twitter et al to put better restrictions, algorithm and moderation for years, especially after the last US elections where it was shown that Facebook can be used to create political chaos. Facebook allowed ISIS to use its platform for radicalization and recruitments before they were shut down. It was too late by then.

Trump effectively used twitter for his own radicalization and recruitment and numerous people pointed out the dangers then. Now it's almost too late. Millions of Americans have been radicalised and most are ready to carry arms at Trump's command.
