Bukola94:I meant to say sergeant. Police sergeant salary is less than 60k. Even at N150k, what can N150k buy in Nigeria of today? I took N150k to mile 12 last week, I could not much (and that is excluding rice). The groceries and foodstuff I was able to buy will not last me a month, given I have 3 children, a wife and my mother at home. Now that does not include electricity, toiletries, drinking water and drugs or hospital bills. Also note that police officers are expected to buy his own uniforms, fuel and maintain their official vehicles and pay to process suspects her or she charges to court. And you wonder why corruption is essential to the survival of a police officer and civil servant. A police inspector is expected to be married with children. I know police officers that pay their own accommodation and commute to work everyday. You should see the danger of handing a man gun and then pay him poor wages and expected him to catch criminals can pay his yearly salary in a day. Its just not practical. |
IjeBos:Payperpost posts does not need to make sense or be factually accurate, you get paid for the total number of posts. |
it stated that a single phase pre paid meter would now cost N81,975.16k from the N58,661.69k while three phase pre paid meters is increased to N143,836.10k from N109,684.36k.Meanwhile minimum wage is N30000 per month and the salary of a police inspector carrying a gun is N55,000. And you are surprised a police inspector points his gun at citizens to collect Roger. |
Benwallt:Did you care to ask the boy the work he is doing to be able to afford two cars at once? You are assuming he is not working right now. OK. Since you are advising him to go and work, kindly reveal the secret of the kind of work that can make a boy afford two cars at once in this our economy. |
SaLongs1:True. Religion is the biggest tragedy to the blackman, be it Christianity, Islam or even traditional religions. It consumes all our mental, physical and social energies that we have little left for development and building a stable society. |
Differential Trigonometry. They suffered us architectural students with maths 201 which contains differential equations including Trigonometry. Normal differential equation was hard enough, but differentiation of trigonometry to me was like magic.
|
LordReed:Imagine admitting to the crime to which you are charged. theThey were acting as republican nominees and not as duly elected and qualified presidential electors. The real duly elected and qualified presidential electors were sent by the states legislator and not people appointed by Donald Trump to act. |
Abifarin16:Did Jesus (the ultimate source of Christianity) touch the money donated to the temple? Did Jesus appropriate the temple funds for himself to buy garments, buy houses, buy horses, hire security men and open businesses? I suspect either you are part of the pentecostal Christianity scam industry or you are one of their brainwashed followers. Jesus was teaching basic mathematics, cumulative algebra. Obvious in relative terms, the widow gave more than the rich people. Jesus did not use the example to cajole anyone to give (offerings) to the temple. He certainly did not tie their salvation to the amount they give to the temple. To the contrary Jesus relegated giving to the temple in the order of importance in seeking salvation. Non of Jesus's disciple demanded tithes and offerings, non of them collected tithes and offerings. The Jewish temple is not a family business that all donations is controlled by the owner of the temple. The doctrine of salvation according to tithes and offerings is purely a new age doctrine starter in US at the beginning of the 20th century. It emphasised prosperity as the main goal of Christianity. Nigerians being very greedy and materialistic people took the message to the extreme and reformed con men, drug addicts and criminals took the doctrine to another level by tying salvation to tithes and offerings. The Church man purpose for existence became the collection of tithes and offerings. Mind you I have nothing against donations and offerings. Even the example of the widow you gave donated without any cajoling or blackmail, she gave from her own heart. What I detest is blackmailing and guilt tripping poor and desperate members to give what they obviously cannot afford to give. |
TruthinAction:The tragic aspect of it is that the people you are trying to open their eyes are so hypnotised to the extent of defending these scam artists with their lives. They forget that the real Christian missionaries that first came to preach Christianity to their fathers built schools and hospitals without collecting tithes and offerings from their fathers. |
Abifarin16:I am not cut out to scam people. My conscience would not allow me to collect money from poor desperate and helpless people while promising them false hope. It takes a dead conscience to cajole poor widows frying akara in the sun in order to raise her children to pay tithes and offerings to you with a promise of God's blessings, and then turn around to boast how many jets you possess. |
saysoo:Jesus described them apply here. “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside also may be clean. |
JuanDeDios:Yes really! Jesus even spoke against the clergy class. |
damoobaba:The Pastors are just employees of the church (company) with targets. Any pastor not meeting target is sacked. How many scholarship and free foods is Oyedepo giving its members? The so called free food is provided by members and not the church itself. My wife attends winners and so I know the way the operate. Members should not go to church for free food, but they should go to give offerings and tithes, abi? Why are you supporting criminal scamming fellow citizens. The church (or gatherings) Jesus himself set up offered free food and drinks to his followers. Jesus even gave free food to the masses. The irony is that Jesus did not demand tithes and offerings before he gave free food. But you are now saying hungry people should not expect free food from supposed leaders of churches. |
Sleekfingers:They are more of scammers than businessmen. They collect money from desperate people under false pretences using the Bible as cover. It is not different form romance or inheritance scam. They continue milking mugus until they have nothing left. The most annoying thing is that they demand members give to them in order to receive blessings but they are not required to give anything back. |
DeepSight:I must confess that I am exaggerating the positives of military governments, you too must recognise that you are on the other extreme, which is failing to see whatever positives the military rule and failing to acknowledge the flaws of democracy as currently practiced. One thing you cannot take away from previous military governments is they are highly patriotic than the current set of politicians. Yes they were autocratic, but they were less tribalistic and less disruptive to national unity. They did not tolerate any threats to the unity and sovereignty of the country - both external and internal. I was in Sokoto for 2 years during the reign of IBB and I had the best time of my life. Yes no lawyer was jailed by the civilian administrations because most if not all prominent human rights lawyers have become political, and so do not confront or protest against civilian misgovernance. But others who do criticise or are in the bad books of the civilian administrations had been harassed and sometime locked up for long periods without trial. El Mustapha was locked up for 13 years without trial. Many journalists and their media houses have been harrased for being critical of the government. A student was locked up and beaten up by the first lady for writing a critical post on social media. All these were under civilian rule. Let me also add that the human rights abuses by SARS is not rivalled in any military administration. The only difference is that it affected only the poor and powerless, while most human rights abuses by the military was felt by the elite. I still stand by my assertion that very few military administrators and generals stole during civilian regimes. I know a few of them. Name one former civilian administrator that became a billionaire on leaving office. I am sure I know the general you are referring to personally, and i can tell you he never stole while in government. He became a billionaire more than 18 years after leaving the army and government. Which senior military officer is a billionaire? Is it Marwa, Rasaki, olurin, Bode George, or Diya. Even Aikhomu could not be said to be a billionaire before he died. I would still like to add more fact about stealing in military administration. The only military head of state that stole directly was Abacha. IBB did not steal directly, so nothing can be traced to him. He stole using fronts. He had numerous fronts. Adenuga is one of them. I had an uncle that use to front for IBB in the oil business. In fact IBB had more than 12 fronts. Civilian administrations on the other hand steal directly. They obtain bribes in plain sight and give themselves stupendous pecks and allowances without any fear of repacussions. |
asanausana91:I agree with you 100%. The president and Governors in this our version of democracy are more like Emperor and Kings. They fear no consequences for any action they take. See Wike that rigged an election openly and brazenly. He was rewarded with the governor of FCT. I really feel sorry for the people of FCT. Wike will rule them like Pharaoh. Under military regimes only the head of state and very few aids were able to steal. Most of the critical infrastructures in the country today were build by military regimes. Under our socall democracy, stealing is free for all. Even a CBN governor was stealing without any fear or favour. Military regimes in Nigeria obey court orders netter than the so called democracy. Gani Fawehinmi, Fela, Tai Solarin all survived under military dictatorship. I doubt a Gani Fawehinmi could survive under the current civilian government. A democracy where a governor is controlling the judiciary, the legislature and the Local governments and elections, is that one Democracy? |
Peterlove11:What do you understand by humanity? Humanity has nothing to do with LGBTQ. Humanity relates to how we deal and relate to other humans particularly the vulnerable. We Black African are the most inhumane of all the races I know. We are even inhumane to our own kith and kins. We were the only people that sold our brothers and sisters for money. Till today we still use our brothers and sisters to make money in money rituals and sacrifices. As I said out of all the terrible evils all around us - Kidnapping, murder, child sexual abuse, greed, dead conscience, etc., It is LGBTQ that is your greatest concern. What do you mean " MOST GAYS WERE MOLESTED WHEN THEY WERE YOUNG, TEENAGERS"? How many gays do you know and how many many you know that were molested when they were young or teenager? Are you insinuating that it's child molestation that turn children into gay adults? You are just making false projections to justify your hatred for anything LGBTQ. Many straight people had been sexually molested as children. Even though majority of so called gays are in it for the fad, there a small minority that their sexuality is not really straight forward. There is something called intersex, this is a condition whereby the individual have a mix of chromosomes, such as XXY. Such person may appear as a girl with a dick, or a boy with breasts. Sexuality can be more complex than the traditional estrogen or testosterone dominant behaviour. Nobody give a Bleep if you are straight or gay but stop parading your sexuality in my face or our children faces. Keep your bedroom madness to yourselfI agree 100%. Sex and sexuality as well as religion should be private affairs and not issues you should flaunt on other peoples faces. |
This quote is wrong and might even result in more coups. When I mean loyalty, your loyalty must start with the Commander in chief of the Armed Forces who is the President. That’s first, and then down the ladder. Loyalty to the Chief of Defence Staff, Chief of Army Staff, down to your Brigade Commander. The loyalty of a soldier should first and foremost be to the constitution of the Republic, before loyalty to the Commander in chief of the Armed Forces. This is what makes the US unique and prevents executive tyranny. A soldier would not obey an illegal order that is contrary to the constitution, either from his Commander in chief or a superior officer. The only other remedy for executive illegality is a coup to topple the whole government. |
GlorifiedTunde:This is what happens when the government loses fear of the people it governs. They believe that they can take any action without any consequences. Even military regimes fear the people. IBB increased fuel by two and a half naira and the whole country almost burnt with protests. Now civilian government can increase price of fuel on a daily basis and no one can dare to protest. The irony is that military regimes obeyed court orders more that the so called civilian governments. |
Bakrabas:First of all I am not a good Christian. Christianity as forced on us Black Africans is a tool of colonalisation and subjugation. How is LGBTQ a global inferno that will consume the entire humanity? As I asked earlier, how many people have LGBTQ killed? To me LGBTQ are a tiny minority making a lot of noise to get noticed. I believe sex whether straight or queer should not be a subject for public debate. You remember what the Bible says about the sinners when they're punished? What happened to the righteous? The Bible is the book employed to achieve their aims. Ever ask why the colonialist gave us Bible but not book on Calculus, Science and philosophy? Why they translated the Bible into our local languages but not books on science, mathematics and history? This was planned deliberately to make us hopelessly dependent on them for our basic survival. And to make sure we will not be technologically advanced enough to manufacture weapons that can challenge them. Islam shouldn't be your problem rather those who perpetrated evils and hide under IslamIslam is a very violent and intolerant religion. It is a tool for political domination and conquests employing physical violence. The Christians sometimes use subtle means and persuasion before resorting to violence. The Islamists use direct violence to covert and then forcefully take over other peopes lands. |
Bakrabas:How many people have LGBTQ killed, how many wars have been stated by LGBTQ? Of all the multitude of problems in this world, you think LGBTQ is your greatest problem |
Cmanforall:That's what I am saying. FG should lift ban on importation of cement, then we will know which one is more expensive. |
Dogalmighty17:If Dngote Cement was to prove that its cement are the cheapest in the world, they should encourage government to lift ban on imported cement and see what prices independent importers will be willing to sell. Imagine comparing the price of wholesale cement from their factory in Nigeria to the retail price on the streets of cotonou, and using dubious exchange rates at that. These people think we are fools. |
basilico:First and foremost sworn affidavits are not evidence by itself. They are used to support actual or physical evidence. Secondly, sworn evidence are useful only in a court. You cannot expect the secretary of state to nullify already certified results without a court judgement. Thirdly, Trump and his lawyers should have presented the sworn affidavits as evidence when Brad Raffensperger gave the State Senate (republican), the state House (republican also) and the government committee (republican executives) the opportunity to argue their case. These are the constitutional process of opposing the outcome of an election. Let me mention once again, maybe it would get pass your ears and into your brain - Trump has no role in the counting, processing and ratification of an election in Georgia or any other state, except of course going to court. The call itself was unappropriate and incriminating. I am surprised that Mark Meddows made the call. Even a secretary of state who is running for governor of his own state cannot unilaterally find himself votes because he thinks the election is not fair to him. If what Trump and his MAGA crowd attempted to do was allowed to happen in America, that would be the end of US democracy. |
basilico:This response by Brad Raffensperger should have put paid to all of Trump's allegations of election rigging. What we have done is we gave our state Senate about one and a half hours of our time going through the election issue by issue and then on the state House, the government affairs committee, we gave them about two and a half hours of our time, going back point by point on all the issues of contention. And then just a few days ago we met with our U.S. congressmen, Republican congressmen, and we gave them about two hours of our time talking about this past election. Going back, primarily what you’ve talked about here focused in on primarily, I believe, is the absentee ballot process. I don’t believe that you’re really questioning the Dominion machines. Because we did a hand retally, a 100% retally of all the ballots and compared them to what the machines said and came up with virtually the same result. Then we did the recount, and we got virtually the same result. So I guess we can probably take that off the tableWhat did Trump do? He not only ask Brad Raffensperger to find him votes, he further went ahead to organize electors different from the ones already presented by the state. Is that not an infringement on the rights of states to present their own electors to the US Congress. A US president has no role in the elections conducted by states much less a role in the selectors of electors to the Electoral College. Trump going from state to state trying to insert himself into the electoral process is unconstitutional and illegal |
WonderMan76:The how do you explain Georgia, where Brian Kemp an anti Trump defeated Trump backed candidate with over 50 points in the primaries. Meanwhile, you guys will allege Trump is popular and that he won in Georgia. Note that almost all the witnesses that are billed to testify against Trump in Georgia are republicans |
basilico:You don't need CNN to listen to the full transcript, it all over the Internet. Here is the full transcript. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIJU3M-kKhI?si=3plPFvuuBSGu8_8t Apart from Trump threatening the secretary of state of a member of a federating unit, he went ahead and organised his own electors. He inserted himself into a process he had no role whatsoever. Trump and his MAGA illiterates are not aware that in the US electoral system, the State's are solely responsible for organising the elections, ratifying the elections and sending electors to the Congress for final ratification. The president has no role at all. Trump even phoning the state to demand "finding 11,780 votes for him is clearly unconstitutional. |
basilico:So the judges are deepstate too? Or are they all Obama appointees, RINOs, democrats, etc? Judges did indeed take up the cases, the only problem most judges had with Trump's suits were that they were all frivolous, a judicial waste of time. Trump did not show actual fraud in any district. He asked elections in whole counties to be dismissed because as he alleged without providing any proof, ballots were switched in bidens favour, or that mail in ballots should be nullified. No judge including Aileen Cannon will do that. Even the supreme Court with 3 Trump appointees did not see merit in Trump's cases. |
basilico:Did Trump make a case for election fraud in court? Did Trump bring any witness to court? Did Trump bring any criminal allegations against anybody? Most of the cases Trump and his associate brought to court were frivolous. Most had to do with asking the court to reject legally certified votes after statutory deadline for election disputes and certification of results have elapsed. Now you expect the court to annul legally certified results? |
basilico:Bare faced senseless lie. All cases were heard. Trump lost because he could not provide any evidence outside affidavits. Trump won 2 election cases? That's news to me. Abeg educate me on which 2 election cases Trump won that has to do with his fraud claims. |
WonderMan76:So CNN is now a reputable news organisation and CNN polls are accurate. I though you guys have always said that polls are bullshit, except of course the ones from Fox news, newsmax and right wing media. Arguing with MAGA cult Members is like arguing with a chameleon about its colour. LMAO you actually think the Lincoln project hurts Trump among Republicans ? HahahahahahahaAnd you think 100% of republicans support Trump? The current poll puts Trump at 54% as against the other republican presidential candidates. That means he has just over half of the party supporting his presidential bid. Even if the Lincoln Project is able to convince 10% of republicans voters not to vote Trump, that would have a significant impact on his chances of winning the election. |
