NinjaMetahuman:False! The main problem with Data centres is not the means of storing data but Power. Hardwares needed for building a data centre are same price round the world .Data centres consumes a lot of power and thar power must be 24/7. You cannot run Data centres profitably and efficency on generators. The other problem with running data centres is manpower. We just don't have competent engineers that can build, manage and maintain data centres. I did some job for a data centre on V/I about 15 years ago. The were the ones maintaining the servers for Nigerian customs. Their main complaint then was that they need to maintain their servers 24/7, so they were looking for an alternative power solution to run their servers after office hours and throughout the weekend. |
olaztek:We got spoilt by superior quality products in the 70s and 80s, unlike the Chinese who did not develop a taste for western standard products early. Having said that Nigerians patronised made in Nigeria cars (Peugeot), made in Nigeria shoes (Bata) and made in Nigeria fabrics in the 70s. The main problem is that the quality of made in Nigeria goods and services have fallen over the years. |
olaztek:We see our products as inferior because they are inferior. If you produce a good product at the cheaper or the same quality as foreign ones, Nigerians will patronise you. Which products or services are at the same standard and cost as imported ones that Nigerians are not patronising? |
Gajagojo: Naira(land) redesign or recolour |
Gajagojo:Exactly! Nairaland should have been way more than it is today. Africans and Nigerians in particular seem satisfied with little success. As one of the earliest member of Nairaland, I am disappointed that Seun has not done much to improve the site in its 17 odd years of existence. The only update seun has done on the site were just cosmetic changes - changes in the colour and fonts of the site and that was done just once. He created a marketplace once called nairalist (I think), but it failed woefully, and quickly abandoned it. With the fast pace of advancements in applications and technology within the past 10 years, Seun no try at all. Nairaland or a sister app should have entered the social media space by now or at least incorporate a chat app for members to communicate directly. Nairaland and Reddit were founded in the same year, but look at where reddit is today. |
bemeruca:Trump fighting politically for blacks in the 80s? I would be shocked to see that. I watched the video you posted and it's very watery at best. They could only find snippet of a debate by Kamala Harris clearly started her speech with a caveat " I am not accusing you of racism" and she praised him for committing to finding a common ground. She was only upset that Biden opposed busing which help her attend school and that he praised two Senators who built their reputation on segregation. Then when asked about it by Steven Colbert after she was nominated Vice President, she laughed it up saying it was a political debate. The rest of the accusations were thar he had friends that were racist, not him directly, but few people he associated with. As a senator for over 40 years, you don't expect that he would have all of associates. If these are the only charges against Biden after 40 years in US senate, then he must be clean indeed. Furthermore, you guys feign blindness to the tons of advocacy for black causes that Biden had been involved in throughout the decades including apartheid. Trump had been accused of racism by almost all backs that ever worked for him. Even some whites close to him also accused him of racism. How many people outside MAGA republicans attempting false equivalence had ever accused Biden of racism. I never called Elon Musk a racist. My problem with him is that he is getting himself too immersed in US Politics and taking sides with the Republicans. All other tech giants stay of politics - directly that is. |
bemeruca:I am disappointed that you have taken the lies of the right wing media as fact, then using the lies as false equivalence to justify racism by Trump and his MAGA supporters. There are no many racism by Joe Biden. There are no single racism by Joe Biden. If you look at his cabinet, you will see many coloured and other minorities. I even feel he takes his anti-racism too far and will attract the anger of the white majority in America. Biden was the main supporter of the blacks in South Africa under the apartheid era and was responsible for many anti apartheid policies by the US congress. Here is proof of Biden fighting the Reagan administration's policy in South Africa https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_v00iGJCLY Now where is your proof that Biden has been racist towards blacks. |
Goodman2023:You guys are funny o! Pay compensation for what? Is it jamb's responsibility to go to court or the girl and her supporters. Jamb has already taking an action, they have withdrawn her result and banned her for 3 years, and you are saying jamb to go to court. Go to court to ask for what exactly? The way you guys reason is amazing. |
kvin33:I totally agree with you. The girls actions were immoral and not necessarily illegal. Although you could arguing it under 419 - attempting to obtain money or favour under false pretences. To those supporting her due to tribal sentiments, they are not aware that she would have been in serious legal jeoperdy if she actually presented the result to a university. The law in Nigeria does not recognise ignorance as an excuse. She would have gone to jail for a long time. |
SeriouslySense:Nicaean Creed first imposed at the First Council of Nicaea (Turkey) in 325. Even the formulators of the creed no longer believe it. Nicaea has since abandoned the creed. The European conquerors that conquered your body, mind and soul since abandoned the creed and Israel the ancestors of the said Jesus never believed the creed. But we have brainwashed black African negroids prepared to die for the creed. |
SeriouslySense:That's because your ancestors were conquered, enslaved and forcefully indoctrinated. You have been psychologically and mentally trapped in the the world the enslavers had build for you. You cannot escape. That was why they translated their gospels into your local language instead of mathematics, science and technology. That way you will forever be controlled and dependent on them. |
SeriouslySense:There is no prophesy. The so called prophesy you are referring to are just ancient beliefs that are forced to fit into present situations by dubious interpretations. Ever wonder why the descendants of those that made the so called prophesy no longer believes the prophesy? If they are actual prophesies, how come the prophets could never prophesize important events that have major impacts on the world. No prophet prophesized the world wars, the economic crisises, major scientific and technological breakthroughs including the Internet. No prophet could even predict Covid19 or the next pandemic. I think, it that is very bold and also you do not know for sure, you have no prove. That's my own reality. In my reality, they is no proof of a universal reality for all frame of reference. Everyone's reality is shaped by his or her own reference or view point. But there is creation, there is order even in chaos, there is intelligent design, therefore there is a creator. So many fallacies. First there is no order, yes there are rare islands of what appears to be order that gave rise to life in one minute insignificant part of the universe. But in reality the universe is a very chaotic, sterile and desolate place. There is no proof of a creator before you start talking of a creation. At the subjective levels, there is prophesy and it has been shown to be shared prophesy, therefore prophesy can be objective and then it means there is a driver of reality, or an intelligent designer.Fallacy of God of the Gaps. That something cannot be known or explain is not proof of any God - whether Songo, Amadiogha, Yahweh, Jesus, Zeus, Thor or Ra. Most living things on earth live and die without bothering about God's or demons, they survive or become extinct. |
Ogaonos:How much riskier is gas in comparison to petrol. They are both explosive when ignited. With certain precautions it can be even safer than petrol. Precautions such as not operating gas in an enclosed space, using original gas cylinders and making sure to replace faulty or rusted cylinders. |
Danielomisco:Use chipper cash. Download the app. You fund your account by paying into a bank account provided. Then you can fund a virtual dollar debit card at the black market rate (we'll slightly higher). The virtual dollar visa card is accepted everywhere. |
SeriouslySense:There is no truth. The perceived truth is according to the observer point or should I say frame of reference. It depends first on your perception and experienced, then on the social construct you are living in and finally on the indoctrination you have received and believed. |
OgbeniOja1:There will always be something to switch to. The amount of energy available on earth is almost limitless. There is solar, wind, Gas (Methane, Butane, propane, CNG), Biogas, Biodiesel and ultimately nuclear. We only need to be innovative. And as they say, necessity is the mother of invention. We already waste (flare) million of cubit meters of gas per day while we are energy starved. We cannot and should not rely on a single source of energy. |
emmaodet:Cost of air shipping for me is $8.50/kg |
Styluss:I buy direct from factory - OEM. So they are brandless. They are dead cheap that way. |
johnson4nosa:I use chipper cash. |
Bakrabas:In e-commerce parlance shipping can mean air, sea or road. Shipping by air for me usually takes 3 weeks - from supplier to the office of my shipping agent. |
OgbeniOja1:Then we switch to the next cheaper fuel, many CNG. Right now CNG is around N120 per kg or is it cubic meters. I went to the major distributor of CNG here in Ikorodu last week to make enquiries. They informed me need to come for trainings before I can be allowed to deal in CNG. They showed me some cars running on CNG. Many Vehicle owners are converting to CNG right know to save cost on fueling. The Dual Petrol/Gas carburetor also runs on CNG. |
shedy03:The shipping company takes care of custom and all. |
professore:Trade secrets |
Ezeama400:You guys have serious psychological issues. Deliverance cannot free you guys, you require exorcism to remove the demons in your pschche. You made a claim that Anambra state with a self imposed Monday free working and schooling day still managed to produce the best student in Jamb. Someone bursted your fallacy by pointing out that the student schooled in the South West with complete 5 days schooling days per week. You now switched to "Igbo person came to your region and conquered you academically despite all your Ronu". So in your mind igbos has conquered the South west academically and probably economically, socially and physically. Igbos have become Conquerors , abi. E no go better for the person wey do you guys. |
Sommyroy10:I ordered from Alibaba.com, you can also order from aliexpress.com. I have my own special arrangement for shipping goods from China. It normally takes three weeks. |
Lastpharoah33:Borrow sense and switch to cooking gas. Dual petrol/gas carburetor are a fad right now. 1kg of cooking gas at N600 is equivalent of 4 litres of petrol at N2000. The problem now is that the Carburetor has mooned, something that cost N12,000 before the petrol increase is now selling at N30,000. Me I have ordered mine direct from China, I expecting it next weekend. |
triplechoice:If this is true, then they are identical to Islam and Christianity. To them anyone that is critical of their doctrine is of the devil and will be ostracised or even killed. |
triplechoice:The most dangerous cult ever created was Christianity and its alter ego Islam. They are a cult of personality rather than spiritual enlightenment and advancement. It all about worship of its dead cult leader and its so called priests. They are the only modern religion that elevates their leader to the status of a god. And in the name of that God all sorts of attrocities against humanity had been carried out and is still being carried out. |
budaatum:That's their campaign strategy. Remember 33,000 emails, that's the strategy that won trump the election in 2015. In 2019 Trump tried to blackmail Zelensky into announcing investigations Biden's via Hunter Biden, which would been his campaign strategy. For 2025, they are have resurrected Burisma and added China and Romania bribes, along with Hunters laptop. Everything they are accusing the Bidens of the Trump's have done 10 times worse, the only problem is crimes are a badge of honour among republicans while they form outrage at every little thing done by Democrats. They are not ashamed that after 4 years, Durham could only charge Hunter Biden for tax evasion and obtaining a gun with false information. Democrats will not fall for the same trick used during hillary Clinton's time where Trump won because Democrats did not turn up. This time their fake outrage will not work, Democrats will come out enmass to vote Joe Biden. |
Raheeqilmaktoom:Egalitarianism means women given the same rights as men, women being free to choose their destiny and chose to be treated as properties or not. Islam is too obsessed with sex, they are obsessed with underage and young girls particularly virgins. No wonder their heaven consists of virgins. Islam is also highly intolerant of other peoples religions, cultures and view points. That's why they are always at war not only with others but also with each other. |
Raheeqilmaktoom:Given your explanation how can Arrewa claim Islam is an egalitarian religion? If you cannot put gender and authority on the same pedestal, what then is your definition of egalitarianism? Which Islamic society or country is egalitarian? Is it northern Nigeria, Iran or Saudi Arabia? |
Why is it only in terms of basic domestic tools and cutlery that she prefers African ways, what about religion, does she prefer amadioha or Ifa to Christianity and Islam? |
