I think the idea is to spread out as much as possible. Such structures, roads and other amenities are what attracts settlements. Building more in already populated areas might lead to over clustering and unpleasant experience for visitors. |
Techcrunchng:I live in North America and I've been living here for as long as I can remember. And I'm pretty sure you couldn't have detected that from my posts. I believe that provided one is using standard English, we all write alike. We only sound different when we speak. What differs most times is the context of discussion (and this could influence the choice of words). I've also noticed that some things considered funny in one region might be bland in another... NB: I've been on Nairaland for 10 years. |
Pearlyakin:Lol... he was just kidding. Igbo is also tonal. Many Nigerian languages are tonal. |
Techcrunchng:Just curious, what's Nigerian about the write-up? |
Righteousness89:What's the logic here? Most countries Nigeria is dreaming to be like are tolerant to same sex relationships. Isn't it pretty obvious that it does not hinder progress in any way? Judging by the status of the countries where it's tolerated, one might even deduce that it promotes development. Lol. Point is, Africans should stop winding unrelated logic around things just to paint them bad. Most importantly, you guys should stop telling people how to live their lives. Live yours however you want it and let others live theirs. |
padi94:The same way the person that did it created males who are attracted to other males. Let's face it, nature will ALWAYS have exceptions. Expecting otherwise is, in fact, unnatural. |
Lol... people only see you as reasonable when you agree with them. |
Nice. Matrimonous:Proud? I think she's rather introverted. She's definitely not the social type. She hardly even posts on social media. Oluwauchebest:Well, there's no one way solution. Besides, not everyone is the gun and sword type. The idea is for everyone to contribute the best way they can. thebosstrevor1:You guys will complain and criticize everything and yet you're not doing anything. You're probably more affected by SARS than she is but you'd rather sit back and criticize people making efforts. |
Chimok:Yes, I'm very much OK. Thanks. I'm just wonder if there's really any positive outcome in criticizing those protesting for something positive (regardless of how insignificant it is compared to the bigger problem) from the comfort of your home. Why not take a placard, write your own request on it and join the protest? Maybe when others read yours, they'd be inspired to follow suit. Just saying... |
Lol... OP, almost all your threads are about complaining, cursing and insulting Nigeria. |
OP, where is did he castigate/blame Burna boy and Toyin Abraham? The inference is based on the belief that he's being sarcastic but I don't really subscribe to that cause it will be in his best interest to side with them (solidarity of non protesting celebrities, lol) than call them out. He can't be shading protesters and non protesters at the same time. ![]() |
If you want sincere opinions on your thread, don't take sides. Virtually every line up there tries really hard to present the subject either as victim being antagonized by malicious enemies (1 and 4) or a super intelligent entity/force that commands fear (2 and 3). Don't get me wrong, he could be all these but making your disposition known ahead will only create a "You vs them" kind of environment. Just saying. Regarding the question, it is not new that people dig out your secrets once you indicate intentions to contest for a political position. Someone of his status definitely has a lot of enemies so I'm sure he was expecting it. However, there's always been one story or the other about him so it is hard telling if this is as a result of his perceived political interest or the usual slice of 'revelations' we get every now and then. Categorically suggesting the 'revelations' are just antics to pull him down is, to me, an aim to buy him some sympathy votes or admiration. That could work. |
Lol... I don't really know what you want us to say. Annual increments, regardless of how small, are normal in most organizations so even without mentioning it, it's should be expected and shouldn't come as a surprise. Do you guys have an agreement to contribute a certain percentage of your salary to a project, expense head or savings? If that's the case, then he might be feeling cheated and you not apologizing would only make it seem deliberate. I'd suggest you apologize and move on. There are bigger things to think about In the absence of such agreement/structure, the next question would be, does he always pick on little things like this? If that is his personality, it would still be up to you to manage the situation. It is a known fact that couples stay together by staying committed and managing one another, and not really cause of the initial lovey-dovey feelings that hardly go beyond the first few years. They might be some of your excesses he is managing too. Relationship is about being with someone whose excesses you can tolerate and I believe you knew his personality before marrying him. Both of you can't be hot headed or prideful or nagging at the same time. Someone has to be the 'let peace reign' type. So I'd still say, tell the man what he wants to hear and move on. At the end, only you can handle your husband. Nairalanders don't care about you. The truth is, we have our own problems. We're here to pass time and say things that will make us feel good about ourselves. It's all about us. Some school boys will insult you and side your husband just to feel like a "man". Some fellow ladies will insult your husband and tell you to do things they wouldn't do. A few will give you sincere advice and move on to the next thread with the speed of light. It's up to you to know what really matters. Pay attention to the big picture. |
Lol |
Confirmed already? |
Uzomacharles:Childish reasoning. No gender has the monopoly of evil, guy. Grow up. |
Uzomacharles:Yeah, like this woman: https://www.nairaland.com/6167842/10-month-old-girl-dies-after-being |
naiirablog:I didn't have the time to read beyond the first paragraph but I'm always glad to see guys using their skills to generate income. Wish you the best. |
Role of a man? Lol... dude, they are lesbians cause they aren't attracted to men nah |
Lol.... when I read the the first few words of the title, I thought the thread was about NLC. ![]() |
Wow! Fear men! |
nairaman66:This was his exact statement and I don't see anything wrong with it: “A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not of building bridges, is not Christian. This is not the Gospel,” |
Davash222: uniqueboi1:When religious leaders keep mute regarding politics, we call them out for not caring about people's wellbeing. When they contribute, we tell them to mind their business. Personally, I think the Pope has every reason to have an opinion and preach against division as a religious leader. This was his exact statement and I don't see anything wrong with it: “A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not of building bridges, is not Christian. This is not the Gospel,” |
Madibah:I saw this https://www.nairaland.com/6167650/endsars-falz-runtown-prince-protest#94725420 |
SmartProf:But the problem is, if they end it completely, what will happen to the initial task they were created to perform? The police needs to have an anti robbery squad. Even ending it is a form of reform cause the same people will be sent to other units, they won't be sacked. |
heendrix:That's because sex has nothing to do with spirits. All animals have sex. It's natural. Just like most things, it's only bad when abused and it affects men and women alike. Guys have a higher tendency too seek sex and it's easier to notice unsuccessful men than women. These are the reasons why it's as if sex abuse affects men more. |
Congrats to her. People calling her names above, show us your mothers. |
OP, correct paragraph two, line three: According to Piper Sandler’s data, 34% of American teenagers ranked Snapchat as their favorite social application. Snapchat comes second with 29% while Instagram is now third with 25% of Americans choosing it as their favorite social application. The word in bold is probably an error and that makes all the difference. |
OP, where were you when the world discussed this? Anyway, welcome to 2020. Watch out, there's is this thing called corona that is killing people out there. |
Hhmm... is this one of the lessons learned from the past project? PMP ? |
Lol.. someone that comes to the internet to seek manuals on how to exist is calling himself an alpha. Fellow alphas, also tell him the sex position to adopt so he'll be 'alpha'. Societal pressure is when you wake up and decide to deny yourself the freedom to be yourself cause you want to be called 'alpha'. Sorry in advance for not responding to your quote, I got busy. |
