ScotMisile:When one says a people is religious, it doesn't mean every single person is. It means the majority of them are religious. Thanks for the insult, I wasn't expecting less. |
Cerveau:Cerveau ? |
If you can't beat them, join them! |
Sorry Mr Ronaldo. Quick recovery to you. The number of cases is going up once again this winter. |
Sheriman:I believe you. But the passion involved in teaching is a very selfless one. Trying one's best to form a child who isn't yours and wouldn't even remember you in future is the height. Bloggers aren't really selfless, lol. |
Lol... these ones are still defecting. I guess they can comfortably move around since the political parties in Africa do not have any core ideologies they are known for. They don't even have a spot on the political spectrum. Lol |
Nice. I'm not a teacher but I believe being a good teacher involves passion and selflessness. |
People shouting shame on 2baba and Naira Marley but when Freez calls out their pastors, they turn around to ask of it's by force to join a trend. |
Something is happening... |
Eyaa, they are accepting everything now. |
Lol... Nigerians are extremely religious and this thread shows that. I don't know if it's good or bad. But it's amazing how everyone abandoned #ENSARS to protect thier pastors. The same people dragging celebrities for not protesting are now asking if it's compulsory to join a trend. So it's just 'a trend' now? Religion is indeed calming. Nice. But let me catch any of you shouting shame on Tuface and Naira Marley again. ![]() |
Wow |
Lol... are they mocking us or what? |
OLUROCKS:We have noted the bad habits of the "most ladies". Wheb are we going to talk about the perpetuators of these havocs? Or are we going to keep looking the other way cause "the ladies brought it upon themselves by mingling with animals who cannot be talked to"? Why can't we equally call out the men who are the man culprits here? And the fact that you assumed I'm a lady shows that for you, it's more of defending your gender and not really about being logical. |
DissTroy:Lmao... wow. I know you might quote to insult me but this post is both childish and ridiculous. Surprised you even called another person frustrated seeing how you type with so much bitterness yourself. Ok... bye |
Zither:You pointed out the shortcoming of ladies in a story where the lady is clearly the victim. You talked about "ladies". Fine. But if falling for the bad guy is a lady's thing and not just this lady in question, then men should be rebuked for killing too. No matter how much we rebuke the girls, a man that would kill will always have a victim. So why not use the same energy to correct our fellow men? Nobody ever talks about "men". It doesn't matter the direction of the crime or martial issue, it's all about what a lady should or should not do to make the situation better. No matter how correct these assertions are, the one sidedness is already misogynistic whether explicitly intended or not. Nobody goes around with a placard saying "I am a misogynist". It is by our actions and words that we portray that. |
ethicallyright:No matter what a woman does, you'd still bash. You aren't even embarrassed sounding illogical. Lol |
I hope her job is safe after this. |
ethicallyright: oluseyiforjesus:Everybody is an olosho to you guys. Somewhere in your mind, you think she needs to sleep with men to survive. Change your perspectives. |
Sonnobax15:There is nothing lame about the excuse. She is self isolating, that's as valid as it could ever be. Let's not get emotional cause we want SARS to end. If she had taken to the streets to join the crowd for any other event, Nigerians would have still lambasted her for ignoring the law and would wail about how the law is for the poor. People are just insatiable. |
Fussion1000:At your first question, the girl is likely to get abused by the opposite gender. I'm glad you mentioned this cause that's exactly my point. That opposite gender is not a log of wood or a computer or even an animal. We are always constraining the ladies, shaming them and taking away their freedom to avoid being hurt by the men. Are men animals that can't be reasoned with? When a man cheats, we tell the cook well or lose weight. When a man hits, we tell the wife to talk less. When a rapes, we tell the woman to dress well or, like you just pointed out, don't go drinking. We always reconfigure the women to solve the problem of man. My point is that we should learn to hold him accountable for his actions so that they will think twice before doing these things. In case of pregnancy, women are biologically responsible for gestation and abortion has adverse effects on them. Pregnancy also stops the poor ones from continuing their education. But getting pregnant is not the only effect of being wayward. Boys also have the risk of getting STD's. Boys who take agbo to have sex stand the chance of damaging thier livers. Boys have higher tendency of smoking weeds and those who do could become nuisances, etc. The point is, if you really want to keep everyone safe (as you claim this is the reason why you're policing the girl child), then you must learn to police the boy child too. No matter how well dressed or good the girls are, they will still not be safe if the boys are not groomed properly cause they won't marry themselves. |
Zither:I am not countering whatever you are saying. People have different reasons for sticking to one man against all odds. Heaven knows that the moment they move on, people who don't know the whole story will still say "these hoes are not loyal". But that's not an excuse for risking one's life and like I said, that could be their shortcoming and you might be right. But the fact that you chose to emphasize on the shortcomings of the women instead of the shortcomings of the abusive men on a thread like this where a woman is the victim is an action of someone who is shying away from calling out his fellow men. It wouldn't hurt if you spared a line to tell men to stop abusing their partners. Just a line out of the two paragraphs you used to talk about women and their shortcomings. We can't always be correcting women for both thier actions and the actions of men. Each time a man misbehaves, the woman is reconfigured to adapt. It is time to talk to men. Tell them to appreciate women who stick by them. Just a few days ago, a thread was created about a woman that killed her man and everyone was about how women are wicked and can't control thier emotions. Nobody blamed the cheating man cause cheating doesn't justify murder. A thread was even created on how women should warmly correct cheating husbands. Now, a man has done something similar and we are still on what women should do or not do. Nobody is calling out men. At best, we see comments like "this world is turning into something else". Men are not computers, let's hold them accountable too. |
AIlahuAkbar:Lol @the first line. Actually, I think he's aware of this. I think so cause the mods have made some efforts to combat these guys by deleting their threads. However, like I said, they are relentless. |
Fussion1000:@your first paragraph, that's exactly the policing. Her parents sent her to school and she went to open legs, shameful. True. But the fact is that these kind of lines are are ONLY associated with ladies. They are held accountable for what they do in school, what they wear who they date, etc. But did they open their legs for a tree? What of the boys that enter in between those legs, didn't their parents send them to school to study to study too? Why aren't we talking about them? Nobody cares if a boy sleeps around. In fact, such guys are even praised. The fact that boys get away with virtually everything women are shamed for leaves men without as much constraints as women. That's the gist of my post. I wasn't even being particular about this girl's story. But if things had worked out well and they ended happily married, you all would have still been praising her for sticking around when the going was tough. If she had left and moved on with another boy, NL boys would still say these hoes are not loyal. If the guy was overly rich, you would say she was there just cause of the money. Now, it's "just cause he's a singer". Regardless of what the story is, the woman somehow is to blame... even in the grave. The bias is alarming onhere. |
starbuck:So you have the license to use the gender card cause you're a woman? A mother that refers to the girl child as "vagina people" thinks Aisha is the one not fit to be a mother? Laughable. You lot in Africa have been broken. |
starbuck:You're already calling out women for the shortcomings of Aisha but you never remembered to call out men for the shortcomings of Kyari, Buhari, Lai, Tinubu, etc. Once a woman is involved, you guys quickly make it a gender thing. #EndSexism! |
flyingpig:Really, did you think this through or are you just being emotional? You think they'd just wake up and sack all the armed men of SARS cause of the evidence against a few? What do you think will be result of throwing men who are used to handling guns into the streets? |
Fussion1000:Men don't know how to hold themselves cause the society doesn't teach that. We're only fixated on policing the women. Telling them what they can do and what they should not do to be seen as a good girl while men get away with anything. |
Zither:Can you imagine how you guys reason in Nigeria. When girls commit crime, you shout "fear women!", "olosho", etc.. When men commit crime, you still find a way to blame the women. Why did she fall for the guy.... this is what came to your misogynistic mind after reading this terrible news? Not even a word against the living criminal but you'd rather blame the dead victim. You think sexism makes you any more manly and confident as a man? Did you know her before now? Do you know about her love life and whom she has turned down before? Did you woo her and she turned you down? Being a woman basher doesn't mean you should be illogical. Your comment reeks of insensitivity. |
Men should learn to control their emotions! What is all these news every morning !?? |
@AIlahuAkbar, I saw your mention. I just don't want to be commentating on their threads. Their names are mostly in Piyin (Chinese written with the European alphabet) or just gibberish like "v7yrs7mbzwef56g". The one you quoted is David Guo. Guo is the Chinese word for "country". If you come online at night (Nigerian time), you'd notice that they'd completely fill up the entire New Threads page as someone shared above and a lot of them would be accounts created that minute while others would be old accounts that have been posting the same thing every night (multiple threads per night) since creation. They don't comment on other people's threads cause their number of posts is always equal to their number of threads. The mods have been deleting and blocking but it seems they are tired. It could be annoying cause my early evening is Nigeria's night so when I come online to see new threads, I only see them. kelvinslim:Scan through the thread, you'd get the story of what has been happening. You can observe for yourself. Cyberterror:You are Cyber Terror and the first thing that comes to your mind when you read this thread is Trump's politics? Instead of writing off things so offhandedly, why not ask questions or observe yourself and decide. In addition to the pics already shared, below are some screenshots I took myself on two different occasions. They still came last night and new ones will come tonight. They occupy the forum the entire night and they are relentless.
