See them blaming the ethnic group, end days, religion, etc. But if a were a crime committed by a lady, everyone would start shouting how women of nowadays are the problem of this world. Men o!!! What is happening!? Glad the poor girl was saved. |
Sebastine1994:You sent your child to a big man's school and at the same time, you are trying to isolate him/from from the lifestyle. You'll only end ridiculing the poor child. You are ruining your child's self esteem by making him/her an island in his school.Your insecurities/fear of being embarrassed when it's your child's turn is be-clouding your sense of judgment. Do you really think it's every single kid that celebrates birthdays like that in the school? Do you think that your child would be the only one who wouldn't share something or even celebrate their birthdays in school? The fact that your kid doesn't come home every other week with such expensive gifts should have made you know that it isn't a regular thing and that many kids don't celebrate their birthdays in school and your child wouldn't be an exception. I sincerely do not see how your action benefitted anyone. If it's that you don't want your kid to be embarrassed when he dosen't have anything to share during his birthday, well, you have just doubled the embarrassment by asking him to return the gift. You were once a kid like that, just imagine the how he'd feel returning the item. His classmates will make fun of him, he will be isolated in the next celebrations cause his father is afraid of not living up to the big man's standards and you've even attracted more attention to him cause his own birthday won't go unnoticed anymore seeing the drama y'all are putting. You put your child in a big school so he'd be able to reason beyond poverty and normalize some things that poor people see as heavenly yet you still want him to keep living the poor life even when it will cost him nothing enjoy what his fellow kids are enjoying. You're simply going to damage the kid's self esteem beyond repair. You're already sounding it to him that he is different/inferior so don't be surprised when he can't compete with the kids in other aspects of life too or when he grows up to be timid. Honestly, you were extremely selfish in that decision, sir. |
The fear of men is the beginning of wisdom! |
The content of your write-up does not reflect your title. The name, Erica was not even mentioned. The way you guys present your stuff could be funny sometimes. Lol. |
Dear Candidate, If a prospective employer does not get back to you as promised, send them a follow-up mail acknowledging how busy they could possibly be and then kindly inquiring about the progress of their recruitment exercise. Proceed to reiterate your desire to work with such a great company and then close by asking if there is anything you can do on your side to make their selection process any easier for them. I have been on both sides of this exercise and I know the importance of such follow-up mails. Best of luck. |
She made an honest statement that applies to most people. Nairalanders will gather here to mock her cause she's rich and they hate rich people. But the truth is, only a very few people really have such friends and many of the people that will bash her don't. |
Hamilton1:And Nigerians are very faithful. You guys always like to bury your heads in the sand while pointing fingers. |
I don't believe this. This doesn't make sense cause if he really wanted a boy, he wouldn't attempt to kill the mother and the baby. No same person would do that... |
Fear men... |
Nice |
The same people that called her olosho are saying congrats. She's proven that social activities don't mean a lady isn't focused in life. Not every woman you see out there is an olosho! |
Nigerianization:Will corona understand these reasons? We have seen people using mic while putting on face mask and if there was any interference, it must have been negligible cause people could still hear them very well. It's not like face masks cause a great change in one's voice. Let's not nigerianize it, bro. |
Lol... the last part was so funny. What was he going to ask again? |
That was an expensive joke! And why was the "abused" guy still following the vehicle even after they have moved? |
Olalan:It's still 'buzzing'. It's on Twitter, Facebook and Nairaland. |
Kusheer:Stop justifying rapists. The lady is wrong. Rapists are wwicked.Your statement is insensitive |
flejnr:Going by the way the hair is stretched in the pic, he'd probably take his shower first (with the hair kept aside) and then wash the hair afterwards. I'm just wondering if the stuff has become too heavy for his aging neck. ![]() |
daddytime:If it's Nigeria, why always Nigeria? If it's China, why always China? If it's Kenya, why always Kenya? Dude, it's not always anywhere. Things happen everywhere. |
This is the monster we create when let the male child get away with anything because boys will always be boys. The society is always focusing on the women; what they should wear, how they should behave, etc. while the men are hardly ever held culpable. Who knows, this one might have spent sometime on the romance section and believed girls are just there for him to devour. |
RedPanthar:Exactly my point. Not everyone is cut out to be a writer. And as someone who has your level of experience, one would think you should be able to discern the presence of the basic skill set required before approaching or suggesting the job to an individual so as not to waste each other's time. I believe a coach helps to refine one's talents and in the absence of any, there's little a coach can do. The OP is desperately in need of money, enrolling him into your program and later dropping him would be devastating. But then again, what do I know about writing? Lol |
RedPanthar:Ok... I wanting join. Explained me in the process, plaese. ![]() |
RedPanthar:You miss the point. Look at his writing skills. Or you don't consider writing skills when recruiting writers? |
. |
Colonelswitz101: ![]() You mean he should join the dead to spite the living? Lol |
RedPanthar:Dude, did you read the OP before posting this? ![]() C'mon, bro! Writing is out of the question! |
Ikillbrokehoes:That's because NL is not just an educational website. That's why there are sections. Every type of news/info is welcome. It's left to you to stick to the section that interests you. As for the home page, all sections have a chance at it (almost all) but NL also needs to follow trends (what people seek the most) to stay alive so forgive the mods if entertainments, politics and sports trend more. You're complaining that educational contents don't get to front page often yet your most frequently visited sections are celebrities and romance which means you click faster when news from these sections are presented to you. It's business so mods will keep feeding you whatever will make you click. Let's stop deceiving ourselves, if y'all like education so much, lighten up that section. The mods would have no choice than to follow the lead. |
Hier:Hahaha!!!! Lmao... You're so funny sir. But who would wear a swimsuit to school? Lol... ![]() Please, stop fantasizing about these things. It affects you negatively. |
OneCorner:Eyaa ![]() |
After someone will come out and say women are not intelligent. Everyone is surrounded by people of their caliber. If women around you are unintelligent, it says a lot about your circle. |
Uzomacharles:There's no justification for Yahoo boys. It's her money, she can do any rubbish she wants with it. |
