Only God can just look at me and turn my life around... Right from day one of my life it has been from one struggling to another, I even managed myself to finished school and anytime I see a post concerning traveling I always cried within me asking myself how will I even travel out of this country without knowing anyone or having anybody outside.... The fear of clocking 30 years without a tangible things has dawn on me but am thanking God for the gift of life and his grace concerning my life... God bless everyone out there and help the poor like me

Wao! Your surprise is surprising! There lots of things in your life and family that draw envy and jealousy from those around you even among your family. This may be worse if you are not a humble and discreet person.
However, I know man who some people planned to do evil to because they said HE DOES NOT GREET THEM WELL whenever he saw them. My brother even in the midst of family and friends, the foes are more but we are not to focus on them and avoid COUNTING OUR FIVE FINGERS IN THE PRESENCE OF THOSE OF THEM WHO HAVE FOUR FINGERS!

I think you have demonstrated maturity in handling the guy so far. Like someone said let the caretaker and landlord be involved but never try to go physical with him. since, he has attempted to raise his hands to hit you once, be very wary of him, as I see him as somebody who is envious and jealous and these could make him a very dangerous person to live with.

Can he compare the environment where his son is 'studying' to the ones millions of 'slaves' children' under their captivity are learning. How is Almajiri the culture of Northern Nigeria Muslims and not that of the original owners of the religion- SAUDI ARABIA?

I love and romanticize the Nigeria of my youth. So ocassionally, It brings me great sadness to witness from afar the decline, degradation and continuous march to anarchy of my home country. It is a feeling of extreme helplessness, kind of like watching your house burn down on live TV. But then, it dawns on me that even if I was physically present, I would still be very helpless to stop the decay, then I thank God for extracting me from "a burning building" and providing me with the wherewithal to return somewhat infrequently to attempt to pick up from where I left off.
Hmm! It's a sad nostalgia many who travel abroad definitely experience.

Thanks OP, I took my time to read this essay. It is quite instructive and I like the fact that you rightly and graphically captured with umbrella. God instituted marriage and He still gives spouse (wife or husband) to people. Where you talked about one having the characteristics one needs in a woman is important however, if a man who wants to marry under submission to Christ decides to involve God in it by PRAYERS and FASTINGS, there is a lot of possibility that his own characteristics will give way to God's own.
For example, I already decided I would get married to ladies from two tribes within my state. I wanted a tall lady. A university graduate and others. But I handed it over to God with two conditions (1) I want a wife that would join and help me to serve God better (2) I want a wife that would give me peace at home- that I would look forward to going home to meet no matter what- I had worked with married colleagues who feared going home because of issues at home.
I prayed and when I was to see my would be wife, she was totally not from my state and a tribe that I had never given a thought that my wife would come from. But primarily, after 7 years and still counting in marriage GOD met my 2 conditions which have primarily made it 'easy' to tide over other challenges.

International Day of Education
24 January 2020
Learning for people, planet, prosperity, and peace
INTRODUCTION
The world will celebrate the International Day of Education on 24 January 2020, a day proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly to honour education and its centrality to human well-being and sustainable development.
The 2020 celebration will position education and the learning it enables as humanity’s greatest renewable resource and reaffirm the role of education as a fundamental right, a public good and an enabler of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It will frame ‘inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning for all’ as a goal in and of itself, as well as a necessary means to accelerate progress to meet the targets of all 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
As the UN organization mandated to lead on education in the 2030 Agenda, UNESCO will draw on its convening power and engage with education and development partners to celebrate the Day around the world by focusing on the many ways learning can empower people, preserve the planet, build shared prosperity and foster peace.
The 2020 theme ‘Learning for people, planet, prosperity and peace’, highlights the integrated nature of education, its humanistic aims, as well as its centrality to our collective development ambitions. It also gives stakeholders and partners flexibility to tailor the celebration for diverse audiences, a variety of contexts and for priority themes.
People
A humanistic approach to education implies an integrated approach to the multiple individual and collective purposes of education. Education is at the heart of both personal and community development. Its mission is to help all people develop their talents fully and to realize their creative potentials, including responsibility for their own lives and the capacity to contribute to society. Education is also a powerful catalyst – for combating poverty and inequality, improving health and well-being, and overcoming discrimination. It is the key to achieving gender equality and is vital for

individuals to live healthy lives and make informed decisions for themselves, their families and their communities. It can strengthen democracy and the rule of law, as well as enhance equality by empowering vulnerable populations. Ultimately, education enables us to confront multidimensional social challenges, such as poverty, gender inequality and social isolation.
Planet
Individual and collective human actions are putting immense strain on the planet and the life forms it supports. With increasing urgency, scientists remind us that human survivability is at risk without significant changes to current development patterns, which cause environmental degradation, rapid biodiversity loss and climate change. Formal, non-formal and informal learning opportunities can play a major part in the transformation needed to realize more environmentally sustainable societies, in concert with initiatives from government, civil society and the private sector. Education shapes values and perspectives. It also contributes to the development of skills, concepts and tools that can help reverse or stop unsustainable practices and allow humans to live in greater harmony with the natural world.
Prosperity
Education, including vocational skills development, is essential for inclusive growth that does not leave anyone behind. Education and training can enhance job opportunities, increase the incomes of the poorest and, if equitably provided, reduce inequality. Reducing education disparity can increase access to decent work among disadvantaged groups. Analysis conducted by UNESCO indicates that if all people completed secondary school, as called for by Sustainable Development Goal 4, world poverty could be cut in half. Education is clearly linked with increased earnings for individuals: across
139 countries, the rate of return per additional year of schooling is 10 per cent. Rates of return are
highest in poorer countries that have a shortage of skilled workers.
Peace
Persistent violence and armed conflict undermine all human rights and all too often violate the right to education. Preventing violence and achieving sustainable peace requires democratic and representative institutions and well-functioning justice systems. Education is a condition for political participation, inclusion, advocacy and democracy. In the best instances, education can catalyze and buttress peace, especially when access to it is equitable. A recent study drawing on data from 100 countries over 50 years found that those with wider education gaps were more likely to be in conflict. Education can also play a vital role in peacebuilding and reconciliation. Education initiatives have a proven potential to help marginalized populations gain access to justice that contributes to peaceful societies.

Events
UNESCO invites partners around the world to celebrate the International Day of Education based on the 2020 theme ‘Learning for people, planet, prosperity and peace’.

When and how did they vote to get Shariah and Hisbah without the nation knowing?

How many do they want to take? He should have told Nigerians. THERE NEED TO BE A LAW MAKING ALL THESE AGENCIES & ORGANISATIONS PAY FOR APPLICANTS INCONVENIENCES FOR EITHER TESTS OR INTERVIEWS. This should include transportation and accommodation allowance, maybe it will help to reduce all these deceptions that could lead to loss of lives and limbs in the name of running around the country for tests/interviews. I will never forget going around the country from Lagos to Port Harcourt to Abuja to Asaba to Ibadan, all because I was shortlisted to attend aptitude tests/interview/physical health- running, ALL TO NO AVAIL While the news will always get to me of those who did not appear at all getting the Jobs!

The sad thing is that nobody even gets back to applicants either by SMS or email. what one hears is that people have been taken.

If the south and north central wanted it they would 1 more state for the constitutional amendment. There's no need for any rebellion. Deleting items 2, 45 and 48 from exclusive list solves issue. I say item two because the federal government regulates who's allowed to hold guns. (Even the security forces)

You need 2/3 of NASS.
50% of all state assemblies to vote 2/3 in favor of amendment.
Where do you situate the so-called Civilian JTF in the North and the so-called Hunters allegedly armed and paid by the govts there?

Education › Child Prodigy, 9, Quits University In Row Over Graduation Date by writeprof(op): 4:39pm On Jan 11, 2020
Child prodigy, 9, quits university in row over graduation date
Laurent Simons - who has an IQ of 145 - was set to be the world's first ever university graduate under the age of 10.
A nine-year-old boy who was set to become the world's youngest ever graduate has quit his university following a row over his graduation date.

Laurent Simons made headlines around the world after he was on track to complete a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at Eindhoven's University of Technology in the Netherlands.
The Belgian boy - who has an IQ of 145 - was due to complete his studies before the end of the year, which would have made him the world's first ever graduate under the age of 10.

But the university has now told Laurent and his parents that the target is no longer feasible because of the number of exams he still needs to finish before his birthday on Boxing Day.
"Laurent is an exceptionally gifted boy, who is going through his studies at an unprecedented pace," the university said in a statement.
The university added that it had offered "a still phenomenally quick scheme in which he would end his education mid-2020".
But Laurent's parents decided not to accept the offer and immediately ended his studies in Eindhoven.
His father Alexander Simons said: "Until last week everything was fine, and now suddenly they see a delay of six months."
He said the exact date of Laurent's graduation had never been an issue for the family but became one as they felt the university was reacting to their plans to move the boy's further education abroad.
A programme director at the university had previously described Laurent as "maybe three times smarter than the smartest student we've ever had".

Mr Simons said: "It's very peculiar that this all comes right at the time when we were finalising our plans for Laurent's PhD at a different university.
"There is a lot of interest in Laurent from universities he would be honoured to join... there is so much demand for Laurent, he is a unique project which everybody wants to be a part of."
Laurent, who is inspired by Serbian-American inventor Nikola Tesla, says he wants to research artificial organs and ultimately to develop an entire artificial body in his own laboratory.
Currently the youngest person to obtain a degree is American Michael Kearney, who achieved the feat in June 1994 at the age of 10 years and four months, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.
