it's sad that it's just an export port, when it can be an import, port... Nigeria imports more than she exports.... so that South Easterners and South Southerners will come back home.
The 'system' arranged it like that for political reasons against those you mentioned. A sane system will not empower one man or one state to provide service to millions of people when it should not be so. Again, I wonder, if the Onne Port is really all the OP said about it-

David Ejoor was a brave man, his effort in restoring peace in Nigeria can't easily be forgotten, it pains me to see that a great man like this isn't celebrated.

RIP PA Ejoor, you've made us proud.
He can't be celebrated because he lost the war. Winners wrote our history books. Among his contemporaries, -generals- only Ejoor is not immortalised.

They qualify of course. So far they meet the two major criteria- they are Ijaws and PhD holders. However, they should be ready to relocate if they live outside Bayelsa.
Politics › Re: Governor Dickson Offers Automatic Employment To All Ijaw Phd Holders by writeprof(m): 12:36pm On May 04, 2019
Priscy01:
Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, has offered automatic employment to all PhD holders of the state origin, as well as those from other Ijaw-speaking states in the country, Igbere Tv reports.

The governor said beneficiaries of the offer included Ijaw from Ondo, Edo, Delta, Rivers and Akwa Ibom states.

The state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, said in a statement on Friday that Dickson made the announcement while inaugurating the Committee for the Employment of PhD holders across Ijaw land.

The move comes a few weeks after the governor made a similar gesture for all first-class graduates of the state origin. He said the PhD holders to be employed would be deployed in the various state-owned tertiary institutions, including the Niger Delta University, the University of Africa, the Bayelsa Medical University, the College of Education and the Bayelsa State Polytechnic.

According to Dickson, the PhD holders’ employment, including those in the Diaspora, is part of the ongoing efforts of the government to reposition the state’s education sector and make it more viable.

The statement said the committee was headed by the Secretary to the State Government, Kemela Okara, and that those interested could apply through the committee for immediate employment.

Education › Re: Difference Between "AM" And "I'M" by writeprof(m): 8:49pm On Apr 29, 2019
adecamp:
A whole lot of people make this mistake. Let me break it down. "Am" is a verb while "I'm" which is the short form for "I am" is used to modify a verb or stands as a sentence as the case may be.

Examples: if you are asked, "How are you ?"
You say, "I'm fine". Meaning "I am fine". But if you are asked " How are you ?" and you reply "Am fine". The statement " Am fine" does not have a meaning whatsoever.

Other examples are "I'm coming home now"(correct)..."Am coming home now"(Extremely wrong). We should please take note of simple blunders like this because, we might find ourselves talking to someone of higher calibre and making grammatical errors like this speaks little of us and also, in letter writing or essays, mistakes like this is minus 1/2 and imagine you use "Am" like 20 times, that is minus 10 Marks for a simple mistake that would have easily been a bonus point.

Thanks.
Thank you for this clarification. I have had a running battle correcting learners/users of English of this annoying usage of am instead of I'm.

How do I say this without it sounding like I am hating .

Please they should let Success be a child, let her play, let her go to school, let her play with her friends, let her be a child.
Its good all what they her doing for her, but taking her everywhere is getting too much.

They can give her all the love and support without putting her in the media every chance they get.

Relocate her family, give them a nice apartment, set her parents up with nice jobs or train them on a skill to make sure Success is well taken care of. Its better to teach a person how to catch fish and giving them the tools to catch fish, than giving them fish everyday.

They should please do everything in moderation. Sudden fame uncontrolled can be intoxicating for adults, not to talk of children.

I pray success continues to follow Success

Tbh I don't think racism will be eradicated until the world comes to an end. So long as there are dark skinned and white skinned people, and so long as the white skinned people continue to somehow see themselves as being a superior specie, racism will continue. Sometimes racism exists solely in the mind and they may not say it out. Even some of the white skinned people you see openly condemning racism, in their minds they still feel somehow superior to the dark skinned people. Why won't they? See this quota:
▷More than 65% of the world's richest people are white skinned
▷More than 60% of popular inventors today are white skinned people
▷More than 80% of Fortune 500 companies are owned/managed by white skinned people
▷More than 80% of the world's top 1000 universities are founded by and run by white skinned people
▷The continent considered as the origin of black people- Africa, in 2019 is still wallowing in economic darkness, while the western world is tech advancing at a crazy speed of light. While most western countries are already investing into technology that is creating living conditions in extra terrestrial planets, the continent's 'giant' Nigeria, still come to social media to celebrate when a welder forms crude metal sheets into the seeming shape of a 'car' that doesn't move, while others are immersed in diabolical wars, large scale corruption, politicians thinking 1980s in 2019 etc.
A disaster happens in the western world and people's first thinking is what they can do to help, with millions of donations flowing in to aid victims, In Africa the first thinking is that it's not my business, in some cases it's how I can benefit from the disaster to become richer.

In all honesty, we can begin to tackle racism when the black man upgrades his way of thinking

Prof Akin Onigbinde described the statistics on Buhari’s achievements as “the reality that we cannot see.” Onigbinde said;

“I welcome my friend, Adesina, telling us the reality we cannot see; we are not wearing glasses, these are things I encounter on a daily basis. I have heard about the Metro Rice in Ogun State, I saw it only on television; it is not in Daleko Market and the rice is also not in Kuto.“I live in Bodija, I can’t see this rice. But Femi is my brother, he has a duty to direct our gaze to what we cannot see and we begin to see things in our imagination.”

A systemic purge against Southern Judges. The North will never come to the realization of the rise of Southern minds in the judiciary.

When I write on Nairaland, I don't write for the feeble minded, millennials, or those who have childish disposition. I write for men and women who look beyond the actions taken, but into the motives that defines the actions. You can take an unjust move against a just cause. It is still INJUSTICE.

Richdad
Sadly, all these are made possible by a DIS-UNITED Southern political elites and leaders who are either blind or assume to be blind to these action and the UNITED front that Northern political elites put up when it comes to the governance of the country.

When Jesus cured a man on the sabbath day, did he not go against the law? wouldn't you call that an act of indiscipline? When Jesus proclaimed he was a son of God, a crime (blasphemy) he was later killed for, was it not an act of 'indiscipline '. what exactly is important here? saving the soul or punishing the soul? your lot are like the pharisees. you are just hypocrites

The same jesus sat with the woman from Samaria.
The same jesus went to the tax collectors house.
The same Jesus went to a wedding, and even obliged ribturn water into wine.

Guven your example, then all these conmen posing as priests and pastors ought to have been chased out long ago. Jesus never chased away those who came for the message. He chased away those who wanted to profit from it. The priest has no right to chase the boy out of the church
That guy exhibited indiscipline by refusing to take instruction. Jesus ministry of servanthood and service is built on obedience to instructions. A man who finds it difficult to follow instructions meant for the good of himself and others because he wants his comfort can't be following Jesus.

While I don't feel it is right for the "boy" to disrespect the "appointed" protocols, I am disappointed in the way some churches go about delivering the message of Christ Jesus these days!

Jesus welcomed everyone, the downtrodden, the poor, the rich, the homeless, the wealthy, the strong the weak...to be able to 'feed' them the word so that they may be healed, saved, blessed and go on to preach the Gospel.

The Church these days is going against the teachings and practice of Christ.

This is disheartening!
Jesus showed the need for orderliness in the house of God when he drove away the business men. Christianity is not meant to propagate unruliness but disciplined lifestyle.
