Politics / Re: Ijaw Youths Blow Hot Over Gold Mining In North, Demand Constitution Amendment by Xander85: 5:20pm On Apr 23, 2019 |
Basic123: Tell me how GEJ would have gone about this seeing as he needs approval of 2/3 of members in the National Assembly (and possibly states assembly as well)! It’s obvious he didn’t want to rock the boat too much seeing as he was going for a second term in office. Even though i see it’s recommendations as not far-reaching enough, wasn’t the 2014 constitutional conference a start on his part? The Buhari govt has now consigned the recommendations of said conference to the dustbin....this should give you an idea how they take all this talk of resource control! These Ijaw boys are just making noise, and the ‘owners of Nigeria’ know it! Last-last, they will find some greedy Ijaw youths to counter this ‘rebellious lot’....who will declare their satisfaction with things as they are and equally declare their undying love for ‘one Nigeria’ and Buhari! |

Nice pics, sanctity! No doubt Owerri has expanded and progressed a bit.....what lets it down is the cheap roads and lack of trees on the major roads. In some of those pics, see how the cheap and poorly done cemented sides of the roads are easily crushed (like 'nzu') by vehicle tyres. |

9jabull: You say you're fed up with all the hate, murder, marginalisation, suspicion, anger and accusations....that you want out! And they scream in your face that it's the oyel innit....that you want to keep all the oyel to yourself, and they call you a 'greedy muthafucker'! You keep your calm and say oya, no wahala....keep the oyel and let me keep my sanity by leaving this unworkable and unloving marriage. This throws them off-guard a bit as they weren't expecting you to give up such a 'precious' asset so easily! They look at you with a dumb, blank expression before shouting babu....no can do, that you're going nowhere...oyel or no oyel! You just can't win with these people can you! They need to share the same country with Igbos, but are too proud to admit it! This pride stems from a decades long belief that 'one Nigeria' belongs to them, and hence how dare these 'pesky nyamurees' have the audacity to want out! Kinda like how Pharaoh was given the erroneous impression that the Israelites arse belonged to him to play with as he pleases! God soon sorted him out and made him see sense! 4 Likes |

Nwaotu10: Funnily enough, Mazi Kanu has made this suggestion....keep the useless oyel and gas (with the present ownership/exploitation levels in place), and give us Biafra, but the ‘owners of Nigeria’ were having none of it! Turns out they’re still eager to be sharing the same country with the very same people they despise! Go figure! |

nazicartel: Why are you hoping she’s not planning to contest for anything? Is it because there’s a long line of upstanding and qualified hopefuls queuing round the block? This is Nigeria for you: reject or don’t consider a person because of where she’s from or because you already have a wasted, has-been, ex-military dictator from the ‘favoured tribe’ waiting in the wings! 3 Likes |

Notice how bigoted Igbo haters reserve their most potent bile for the likes of Mazi Kanu and Ojukwu? These two know/knew exactly the kind of evil we’re up against in Nigeria and this is why they’re despised so much! 1 Like |

rdokoye: Sometimes i really do wonder what the west (Yoruba) actually want for their future generations...whether they want their children to inherit the very same mess we’re all dealing with today!? I ask this because, besides a few reasonable ones like Ayo Adebanjo, Yinka Odumakin and Femi Fani-Kayode, the rest don’t seem bothered about trying to wrest control of their destiny from the hands of the northern oligarchs....they’re either sitting on the fence or just couldn’t care less! Awo said words to the effect that if Biafra is allowed to leave that the Yoruba wouldn’t stay behind to continue doing ‘one Nigeria’ with the north! Does this mean the Yoruba (who are more than able to be a nation-state in their own right) feel they can only survive as a people if the east (or maybe Igbos) share the same country with them? 17 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / Re: UK Trial: Nnamdi Kanu’s Brother Hopeful Of Resolution by Xander85: 5:13pm On Apr 21, 2019 |
Anyone...any levelheaded person that’s true to himself and wants a future of peace and bright prospects for his children, would have to admit that things CANNOT continue the way they are in Nigeria! Something just has to give! I have lost all faith in the present status-quo being able to achieve the peace and prosperity i crave for myself, my family and my kinsfolk....the same peace and progress even little countries like Ghana, Rwanda and Singapore now take for granted! This is why i’m a fervent believer in Mazi Kanu and IPOB....they’re presently the only light i see in a very long and dark tunnel! We’ve been doing the same thing since 1970....trusting in the same Nigerian brand of partisan-politics and political-economy bereft of any civility, morality, vision, passion for nationhood, love for a fellow compatriot and honesty, yet we keep on fasting and praying year-in-year-out that our fortunes will miraculously improve and we’d start rubbing shoulders with the likes of Dubai, Singapore and Brazil! Fat chance! 1 Like |

Tinocosta17: That’s because partisan-politics in Nigeria is a criminal enterprise...full of thugs, bigots, semi-illiterates and ethnic-supremacists! Ever wonder why decent, civilised and well-read individuals avoid going into politics in Nigeria, and if they do, why they don’t survive? There is a strong link between the stranglehold Tinubu has on Lagos, and the anti-Igbo sentiments expressed by him and his Yoruba minions! They know opening governance and politics to all Lagos residents (as true democracy and the constitution dictates) will spell the end to the Tinubu hegemony and control of Lagos! 2 Likes |

MetaPhysical: Rubbish! kalu is a visionless politician and a crook to boot! He took advantage of 'federal might' coupled with the new fad your APC brought into Nigerian partisan-politics....vote buying! What changed between the last time he contested against Ohuabunwa and lost, and now when he 'won'!? Abians suddenly realised he's a saint? 3 Likes 2 Shares |
Politics / Re: I Think APC Is Anti Igbo by Xander85: 10:48am On Apr 20, 2019 |
MetaPhysical: You got it all wrong! As APC purports to be a PAN-NIGERIAN political party, it's not it's place to hate a people because it thinks they hate it.....not even caring to know why they're not liked! As with Buhari, who you all justify his marginalisation and hatred for Igbos because you say Igbos hate him too, both APC and Buhari (by virtue of the national positions and 'relevance' they hold) are not permitted to hate back! Rather, if they were matured and had a pan-Nigerian outlook, they would try to find out the reasons why a section of the country (they insist on governing) hates them, and try to work towards ending those negative feelings against them! If they can't bring themselves to do this, then they have no business being on the national stage! 4 Likes 2 Shares |
