CrimeRe: Policeman On Bonnet Of Speeding Vehicle Of Lady Who Refused To Stop by xandy84: 4:31pm On Apr 15, 2020
Everybody knows that. You drive toward an officer, you get a bullet in the head and case close. Car kills and gun also, so what is the difference... Non.. She is luck and should thank her star and the officers should be commended for doing a good job. We are quick to point faults of our police while failing to praise them when they get it right. The lady in question will be dead if she do that in US. There is no maybe on it..

kikero:
Fun fact, your comment reminds me of a case in the USA. A gent drove in a threatening way with his car towards a policeman, and the policeman shot him dead.
CrimeRe: Policeman On Bonnet Of Speeding Vehicle Of Lady Who Refused To Stop by xandy84: 4:09pm On Apr 15, 2020
She is lucky. You get killed for that elsewhere. Vehicle is consider deadly weapon and when you drive toward law enforcement officer, you get a bullet in the head for that. Nigerian police deserve applause for not killing her.

9jatrendz:
Why remove her plate number and reign curses on her and attempting to slap her? Is that the right attitude of a road officer in a situation like this?
RomanceRe: I Lost my job, my girlfriend dumped me and nairalanders saved me from suicide by xandy84: 5:24am On Apr 09, 2020
I am quity of calling people that beg on NL scam and though I may be wrong, I have my reason. A dude beg for his tuition and I asked for his student log in with a promise to pay his tuition and he disappear.
I grow up poor and my father was gone and did cleaning ( AFOLE) to be able to attend secondary school and it kind of hard to comprehend why people beg to me but your story opened my eyes. Pray you have strength to continue to forge better things for yourself in life.

PoliticsRe: As Nigerians, Can We Ever Witness Stable Electricity In Our Life Time? by xandy84: 1:49am On Jan 11, 2020
Everything is not corruption. Corruption is part of the problem and not all the problem. Nigeria electricity model is based that is non workable. You generate electricity and add it together, then share it.. It is just like our system of government, it never going to work right....

SamOyovwi:
Corruption is the problem. If we can be free from corruption, we can. But with corruption still lingering in our government, we can never have a constant power supply in Nigeria

TravelRe: Private Jets Charter In Nigeria: How Much It Costs by xandy84: 8:39pm On Dec 11, 2019
$3000 is big even for those that earn in $$ when you factor your bills etc. Talking from experience for real

oz4real83:
Autojosh just exposed some of our celebrities and "acting bigmen group". We have seen from this post that u don't need to be a bigman to fly in a private jet. It is because our currency the naira is so poor that is why we see $3,000 dollars as very big. That should be a month's salary in some countries. May God bless us all to fulfil our dreams and desires.
PoliticsRe: Falana Reacts As DSS Rearrests Omoyele Sowore by xandy84: 4:40pm On Dec 06, 2019
Guess Naija is now a jungle. Rule of law is dead. Judiciary has been rendered useless by executive recklessness and I can't even remember what system of government we are practicing any longer. Military rule I guess...
TravelRe: Share Your Nigeria To Abroad Stories Here by xandy84: 4:20pm On Nov 08, 2019
I keep telling friends and family that coming to America does not make me rich. It only gives me the opportunity to actualize my dreams and with hard work and diligent, you stand a chance.

nervorum:
This is consistent with the story of average educated Nigerians who just seek to fulfill their dreams. Some places give you better opportunities to live out your dreams than others. Once you are legal, trained/skilled, hardworking and disciplined, you are more likely to succeed and contribute to society than fail. Welldone!
TravelRe: Share Your Nigeria To Abroad Stories Here by xandy84: 2:13pm On Nov 08, 2019
My story is two part.
First, I was an undergraduate studying Russian language in Unilag and decide to go Russia, get Russian visa thru Unilag, went to Russia and only to be refuse entry. The whole journey lasted for only three days and I was deported back to Naija. I wanted to go back then to Russia then cos my Visa is still valid but decided against it and went to buy jamb form and got admitted to Unilag studying Educational administration. That was 2008.

My second experience. During NYSC in 2012, I know for sure looking for job at 30 with 2:2 in Naija na die. I decided I am going to try Yankee student visa but money tight die. I did all the leg work myself from finding the school, to writing GRE and going to the embassy. God answered my prayer and the Visa came thru and life has never been the same. I am not a millionaire but I am doing good for myself and my immediate family.

Note: like someone said in an earlier post, traveling is not for everybody and you must have plans when you want to travel. Traveling does not worth risking your life thru desert or jungle cos you will be surprise that a lizard in Nigeria will not turn to crocodile in America

CelebritiesRe: Rema Featured On New York Billboard by xandy84: 10:15pm On Sep 22, 2019
My guess but my problem was not him begging. My problem is making it hard for people will sincerely need help. Guess begging is a way of life in Nigeria now.... Too bad

uglodoh:
Do not mind the idiot. His name is already on the list showing he is a graduate already. What does he need the 21k for? Instead of him to think of his call up letter, he is thinking of convocation ceremony.

The 2 people quoting you are the same person. He is opening multiple accounts.
CelebritiesRe: Rema Featured On New York Billboard by xandy84: 7:39pm On Sep 22, 2019
You open an account today and beg for money the same day.. seriously!!!! Have some shame and please stop making it hard for people who need help genuinely..

MaziRidwan:

I'm a fresh graduate of University of Ilorin. My entire academic journey up till this level was sponsored. I do part time job during holidays to fend for my needs. Graduating list was recently released few days ago and slot for convocation fee payment has been made available. The total sum is 21k and I'm yet to get a job to make the payment. Convocation is 23rd of October. Kindly assist me as you deem fit. I pray God almighty continue to enrich your pocket.
CrimeRe: Why We Are Carrying Out Xenophobic Attacks – South Africans by xandy84: 4:42am On Sep 03, 2019
You sound so ignorant. Nigerian do drugs and frauds in UK, US but nobody burn or threaten to kill other Nigerians. You arrest the perpetrator of crime and make them pay for their crime and no burn innocent people's property to justify their stupidity. I am 100 per cent against fraud and drugs but jungle justice is worse and it belongs to ice age.

Officialgarri:
If that's their wish, then grant it.
I can swear to it that Nigerians in south Africa are majorly into Fraud and drugs. I didn't read it. I know it with facts.

If they accuse us of such, they are actually saying the truth,
and we ought to cover our face in shame and return home for always embarrassing ourselves everywhere we go.

South Africa is not same as Nigeria where a state will be arrogantly claimed by another set of people from a far different region.

South Africans are lazy and Nigerians have seized the chance to snatch people's girls and wives.
PoliticsRe: Magodo Residents Now Enjoy Stable Electricity After Signing An Agreement by xandy84: 3:20am On Aug 26, 2019
Electricity everywhere is sold to the highest bidder. You don't have light if you can't pay for it. It is only in Nigerian people want electricity without not paying the price for it. People turn off their light in UK, US just to save on light bill...

Raysleek:
Electricity in Nigeria is no more a right and a social a memory but a commodity that is now being sold by the govt to the highest bidder.. If this is true then it's a shame

TravelRe: Skills To Acquire Before Relocating To The US. by xandy84: 2:51am On May 30, 2019
First, you do not need 2-3 years of American driving to get a CDL. No truck driver make $80 to $100k in second year except you are owner operator and you have to minus gas, repair and truck payment. I am a diesel tech and own truck and this is what I do for a living.
Truck driving looks easy but to make decent wages like $50k a year, you have to be away from your family for weeks and sleeping inside truck. Not for everybody for real.

Fixing car as a private job is not easy here, it's all about car insurance and we all prefer to go to the dealer maintenance, you can get a job in dealer if you are legal or buy, fix quick and resell cars, not easy, car sales have lots of competition.

Somebody mentioned the truck driver, it's a very good job but you need 2-3 years American drivers good record (American drivers license), then to study for CDL, some companies teach you for free with the condition you work for them 1-2 years. Truck driver's job is very well paid and always on demand. Starting maybe from $40-50K USD a year and going up to 80-100K USD a year in 1 year or 2.
