VeeVeeMyLuv:you don carry political biased mind enter the thread. I did many businesses in naija during PDP era and I knew scores, an average African man and woman na criminal and heartless. I used Africans in general bcoz I've also set up businesses in two other African countries and also knew the scores. Many people are ready to finish up your business to their advantage without having any guilty conscience. Is it APC or PDP government that will make your trusted friends or family member defraud you or loot your business? You can't even trust those you know not to talk of outsiders. These things may be more in Nigeria but it's a general thing in other African countries at least those that I've visited and lived in. It's also happening in advanced countries but it's minimal. We were taught in the school that being a businessman or woman gave you wealth and riches you can never get in being a salary earner but how does one become successful with this kind of toxic environment that's not conducive for business. Someone like me, I don't like working for anyone, love to be my own boss always but your environment sometimes makes you disobey or bend your rules. |
It's a good idea but try and be legal with whatever step you're taking. I know about five guys who got into trouble with such route, three were lucky to get bailed and released but two are still in prison as I'm typing. Most of these African countries take crime committed by Nigerians serious than other nationals. Based on my own opinion, two of the countries you have to avoid in trying such is Ghana and Ivory coast. |
simfrost90210:How person go say a human like him can never be wrong for him eyes na. |
IconicR:Then you're a zone-. Make I no just complete am coz I no dey like to insult person The one and only person I really insulted on nairaland later gave me gift worth two million naira on my birthday |
osuofia2:you dey mind am, how I wish the story is true and the CP read these story make body tell am. |
tesppidd:They're mostly in politics bcoz of money and in some ministries you'll see money to loot more than some state governors, so why can't he resign when he knows the ministry he's going to head will give him more than than even the Senate president. |
nurey:So you get two left legs. You must be a super human. |
I've earlier predicted this. The DSS I know wouldn't want him to leave their custody. |
I doubt DSS will let him leave their facility even if they don't have a tangible evidence to hang him. If at last the court discharge him, they will rearrest him and charge him for another offence so terrorism charges may be kept at one corner for him. That's what you get when Nigerian government want to punish you. Your right doesn't matter but if you're on their good book Killing a human being(murder) will be treated as if you kill a Christmas chicken. |
Some of those countries with cheaper and easier admission for medicine only produce half baked Doctors. Concerning the exam too, The Nigerian education system is designed to value theory more than practical so don't be surprised that some of those who failed the exam will passed same in US and the UK. It's just like when you set an exam for a roadside mechanic and a graduate of mechanic engineering(automotive). |
dreaonit:lol reading this scares me as if I'm the one who's going to enter the boat. That's the only mode of transportation I'm not planning of trying any time soon. The 6k is from where to Cotonou |
Writterconsulta:Ok nothing bad in moving to Ghana but let me tell you few things so that you can prepare yourself: Things are more expensive when compared to Nigeria. House rent mostly goes for two years advance payment. Budget 15k per month for single room and porch(the porch serves as kitchen, no toilet and bathroom). You can also get just single room without porch for 10k. 20-30k for single room self contained. Depending on location though but I think those are the cheapest you can get and don't expect them to be standard apartments. Except the self contained, it's very common to see houses there without toilet so be ready to be paying for public toilets outside. Things you can do to quickly pick: Though I don't know your budget but having some skills like shoemaking, phone repair hair dressing, makeup, nail-fixing and pedicure will really help if you have money to rent a shop in a good location and set it up. Also many Nigerians sell phone accessories with baby carts(don't know if that's the correct name) doing that doesn't require big capital they move round the street and one can hardly get stranded with such small business. All in all Ghana is not the ideal japa you can be expecting to become a millionaire within a short time, the only advantage it has over Nigeria is light and let me add security but if your business is moving well then you make more profit than doing same business in Nigeria but you also spend more. |
Ikaeniyan0:Then how did "stolen mandate" slogan come into being. |
Writterconsulta:Entering Ghana is not hard. Direct may cost around 50k (I don't know the actual amount). ABC, Young shall grow, Chisco, mile2 Ghana park, etc. Halfway: From Lagos 20-30k will take you to Accra if you can go "halfway" meaning >> Badagry >> seme border, cross the border by yourself with leg(the safest) or take okada( some of the okada riders are criminals). If you want to cross by yourself just change like four 200 naira notes with you, you shouldn't spend more than three of it(600 naira) in crossing to Benin. After crossing, change your money to CFA. When changing your money there go to those that have office, the ones sitting by roadside will usually cheat you. You won't spend more than 7000CFA to reach Ghana border (Aflao) so you can just change like 8000CFA coz you may want to buy something on the way. Crossing Aflao border is 30-50 cedis, as jjc I recommend crossing with tricycle coz those okadas are mostly thieves. After crossing, Aflao to Accra is 65 cedis. Anyone who doesn't want to spend much on transportation can use this as a guide and if you need more details you can mention me here to provide more. Like: Taking Aflao direct from seme is more expensive than seme >> Cotonou (tokpa market) >> Aflao. Please be legit with whatever intention you have in going to Ghana. |
dreaonit:you pass through Benin and Togo when going to Ghana. |
Ok, let me advise you. 1: Don't chase the two at once. 2: Don't plan to dump your loads and responsibilities on your partner, so job first. 3:The earlier you stop searching for true love the better coz it doesn't exist, search for someone you both will be able to manage each other's differences well. 4: Beware it f guys with too sweet mouth. 5: Don't search for "Mr perfect". 6: Concerning the state you can find love and Job, no specific answer for that. It depends on your skills, level of education, connection and luck. 7: If you need more let me know... |
chukskafor:Lol don't mind them, some comments here just dey make me laugh, most of them only hear or read about bees. The only thing the Op can do is to look for those that are good in harvesting bees to harvest them all. Messing up with bees can kill or land one in the hospital. |
Olasyke:Lol, bees that will be coming towards you with full speed in most cases? They will inject you before perceiving your repellant cream oh. |
wpadmin:some riffraff will still find a way to get a non riffraff to deposit that 8 million in his account or even fellow riffraff that has already made money. Sometimes it's somehow hard to identify as a Nigerian outside the country. I don't if there are any nationals who are more despirate than Nigerians when it comes to money making (not all Nigerians though). |
OGHENAOGIE:Tell me what make BBN more popular than "Mr A caught in bed with miss B", " B kisses A", " B goes naked", "A and caught having s3x with B". Don't try to defend what you've been addicted to ok, well you may not see anything wrong with the show neither was I criticizing it with my comment, was just pointing to things that make it trend. A lot of people associate more with any show that is romantic and s3xual appealing than a pure talent show. |
You won't hear much about this cuz it's not about opening nyansh like BB naija. Congratulations to you dear idol but don't turn to real idols like Ogun and Amadioha. |
Papilagreen:Finland is not tuition free anymore. This is outdated info. The Op is a Nigerian and he must pay tuition fees if he wishes to study in Finland unless he's lucky to get 100% scholarship. Op you can go through Finland thread and get more info if you can't get what you want here. |
Even your mothers of old self no too loyal, most of the time na conditions make them loyal by force. Unconditional love is only in the movies or story books. When someone is showing one of a kind love just watch your back and be careful. Only your parents sometimes love you unconditionally, God said He will show mercy upon those He will show mercy meaning God can also love you unconditionally whether you’re good or bad. Any love a man/boy or woman/girl is showing you must surely be attached to something and when that particular thing is no more there, my brother and sister if your shock absorber is not strong e go shock you paaa. |
Hmm. That’s what you get from believing those scammers advertising “result upgrade” online. They will make it serious as if the upgrade is official, assuring you they are well connected with top JAMB officials. |
maasoap:yes you’re right, people do come online to share their bad experience, nairaland may be faceless but many people maintain some kind of standard with their monicker, so for such people to say the truth about what’s going on in their homes they’ll first need to create a new moniker. For instance, my monicker is my brand name which can be used to trace me in real life then I share with it that my wife always beat me and have even removed two of my teeth lol, Before you know it some people will take note of that, you’ll think they’ve forgotten but any day I make a comment or post that doesn’t go well with them you’ll be seeing comments like “see this one wey him wife don turn to punching bag” “Person wey ordinary woman don remove him teeth” lol and so on...... even though none of them knows me in real life those comments will still have some effects on me. |
TheCongo2:lol you expect everyone in such situation to come on public forum like this and open their family affairs? Some women wey dey always chop correct beating from their husband go still dey tell their friends outside say my husband is lovely and caring like say na jazz the man dey use for them. Do you expect me to come on nairaland and be say my wife is these and that? Not every cloth we fit dey wash outside(openly). |
😆 most of all these yes yes and yes no reach inside oh. Na cloth dey cover body wey we no know those wey krokro don finish their body. Some of all these yes people fit dey chop slap or insults from their spouse everyday or twice in a week |
helinues:Lol, the best response of the year 2023 |
I just pray he won't be freed by the time he appeal this judgement on lack of jurisdiction. Do magistrate have power to try that case? |
He's been tolerating her for too long. It got beyond the limit of tolerance, simple! |
Hiss! This man is still playing politics even when a life was lost. You've seen someone who the cap fit. If the police was his brother will he be using that avenue campaigning? |
