Billyonaire: Are you pondering why the Cabals want Diezanni out by all means with their phantom allegations ? Are you pondering why they are fighting PIB ? Are you pondering why a Northern Senator's house was stocked with Weapons of mass destruction to keep the Presidency busy with fights against Boko Haram until the end of his tenure so he can lose election and a Northerner can come to power? Are you seeing the political Boko Haram ? Are you still pondering why GEJ has a battle to win even within the PDP ? These guys own 83% of our Oil wells, I mean they own 83% of our commonwealth, seriously, they own us. This GEJ of a guy needs our support to be able to fight the cabal that controls political power in this country. They are richer than Nigeria.Billy is making a lot of sense with this submission, but who would lead the reforms? is it the same youths who fight all day long on Nairaland? The elites have succeeded in creating divides based on tribal sentiments between us, as a result of this, most of the people dont trust themselves. Heck why I have my reservations about the APC alliance. As much as I would love a situation where PDP is kicked out of power, reason is the founding fathers of PDP are the same stakeholders in the military era and subsequent sharing of our common wealth, and I feel a change of guards would most likely change the situation of things. But on the other hand, the antecedents of the new members of the APC seems to be silently being sponsored by these PDP guys which to me seems like a strategic move, aimed at deceiving the populace into believing that the new party would offer change. What I would prefer in all sincerity is for someone who is an independent candidate (a person who would not associate with any God father or Cabal), to run for the presidency of this country. But on second thought, I realised my folly and feel this might not be a good idea anyways. Reason is that our people have been brainwashed into following what the so-called leaders in the grassroots tell them. a situation in which corruption fledges, while the people remain oppressed. Votes are either being sold or people vote based on tribal sentiments. All this points to one underlying problem, which if we don't address, would result in the same outcome of business as usual for the elite ruling class. |

Andre Uweh: Mali has problem now yet they are in the nations cup.The difference is that the Egyptian league hasn't been on because of the uprising and internal problems, and majority of Egypt's players plays in their domestic league, while Ivory Coast and Mali have their players in Europe and other places. |
Black Kenichi: In your dreams! Nigeria is nowhere near CIV's level. The Elephants will crush the Super Eagles............ Unless these Super Eagles have super strength!Didn't we play Catalunya with Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, Piqué with all their stars did the world fall down? And who the hell is Ivory coast again? Those underachievers #WeDontcare |
Well, it's better for them to make those silly mistakes now, than later in the tournament. Caveat: that's if they qualify. All the same, it's an okay game. Poor officiating IMHO |
i go swear for this echiejile guy o |
phaya: How is this related to NigeriansI feel pained by your comments on how this relates to Nigeria, because apart from the fact that I am a full blooded NIgerian who proudly carries a green passport and works around Vauxhall, this area is known for high vehicular traffic and has one of the busiest stations in London both the Vauxhall underground station and the southwest train overground station. Not only this, it has one of the biggest bus terminus in central London, with busses going to croydon, Peckham (both areas are notorious for the high number of Nigerians), oxford circus (a choice destination for Nigerians fo shopping, because of the multiple high street stores) and victoria coach station (where you get national coach for most of the destinations in the UK). The crash was caused by low visibility and a crane on the construction site right beside the national rail bridge. Imaging how deadly it would have been if this helicopter crashed into the Sainsbury mega store at vauxhall? I was still on this same road around 8pm last night while driving home from the office, and I know other Nigerians that drive through this route. So, its a big deal if an helicopter crashes around Vauxhall and it affects Nigerians because some of our families would be worried if a crash happens close to where we work. |
@Goshen360 you need to understand that for every prayer, there should be an element of faith which in turn enables the person praying to have personal conviction that the prayer is being answered. If an individual believes that he needs to shake his/her head for them to attain the level of personal conviction that his/her prayers have been answered, who are we to question the person's mode of praying? A person can pray in which ever way they choose to as long as it doesnt go against christianity. the scripture says in 2 Corinthians 1:24 (MSG) 24 We’re not in charge of how you live out the faith, looking over your shoulders, suspiciously critical. We’re partners, working alongside you, joyfully expectant. I know that you stand by your own faith, not by ours. Infact, some chose to pray that way to re-invigorate themselves and reduce the chances of sleeping off while praying. This is done especially during Vigils. Don't make the mistake of judging an individual's beliefs based on their mode of prayer. What you should rather do is encourage them in their faith and recognise the importance of the content of the prayer rather than changing what they belief in. |
VillageBoi: I saw the Figurine and absolutely hated it. Why? It was a brilliant film for the first two-thirds of it and then all of a sudden it badly fell off a cliff into some silly gibberish.I also saw the screen preview of phoneswap at the BFI, and as much as I agree with you on the cinematography (camera and audio), I felt a bit disaointed with the story. So far so good, phone swap was a good movie, but it didn't meet Up with my valuation of what a great movie should be, the story line was a bit lightweight and lacks depth and insight. I felt much emphasis was place on the video quality while the story was a bit shallow. The film looked promising at the begining, with the office politics, the tailors shop and the general introduction of the characters. But I felt lost from the point where the phone was mixed Up at the airport, and the names of the assistants being the same. for me it doesn't look real. I felt the plot and scene could have been enacted differently. Having said that, I feel phone swap is a step in the right direction, but improving the general storyline would be perfect. I've not seen the figurine so I can not really comment on it. |

Lets reason on the following points so as to arrive at a viable assumption that we can base the premise that IGBOs don't own Lagos. According to CIA https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/ni.html Nigeria is made up of the following ethnic groups: Hausa and Fulani 29%, Yoruba 21%, Igbo 18%, Ijaw 10%, Kanuri 4%, Ibibio 3.5%, Tiv 2.5%, 14.5% Others If Lagos is a representation of Nigeria as a whole, then the 15 million people in lagos, would be made up of the following group of people: *FULANI 4.35 million Yoruba 3.15 million IGBO 0.9 million Ijaw 1.5 million Kanuri 0.6 million Ibibio 0.525 million Tiv 0.375 million others 2.175 million *for reference, check out Agege, Yaba, Alaba Rago, mile 12, Abule-Egba parts of Lagos to verify this claim, and the margin for error would be ±0.5million for each ethnic group. So, how can someone assume that Lagos is "owned" by the IGBOS? Remember, the same IGBO are also all over Abuja, Kano, Portharcourt, Delta. |
nitlad: That's not entirely correct. If anything, the KGB and SVR are equally capable of sabotaging and stealing the lead on the West's military capabilities through their ever effective espionage.Stop deceiving yourself with the myth of KGB. KGB ended with the USSR,in today’s Russia, the KGB doesn’t exist. The KGB was abolished in 1991, soon after its Chairman, Vladimir Kryuchkov, led the failed August 1991 coup against Mikhail Gorbachev. And it was officially renamed FSB. what Russia has now are groups of agencies FSB, SVR, and GRU, all carrying out the responsibilities of the erstwhile KGB but with lesser autonomy and powers. This directly affected its effectiveness. |

jmaine: You are simply tongue twisting to no where . . . . The reports was very clear and concise . .and they unequivocally gave a good view of Nigeria . . .Your futile dance steps is taking you no where . . . .cos the report says there was an improvement with Nigeria leading the lines . . . . . .There are two reports, one is a list by TI, and the other is an analysis of the list by a nigerian news agency. While it's understandable for the reporter to be somewhat patriotic, you can clearly analyse the same list and draw conclusions based on the obvious, rather than lazily taking whatever you are being told hook line and sinker. I am actually interested in total prosecution of corrupt individuals, but it is disappointing if all you can point to as achievement is some pockets of prosecution rather than obtaining landmark judgements or rather a situation where the government comes down hard on corruption cases and taking a very definitive stance of zero tolerance. Remind me to celebrate when top guys like bankole, otedola, and so on are behind bars. Remind me to celebrate when you get don't need a tiny speck of prosecution in the face of bigger cases, for you to boast of success. Even if its witchhunting, I don't mind, and moreover most of the guys Obj witch hunted are corrupt in the first place. |
jmaine: The source of the report is very valid . . .You did be the first to seethe and foam in the mouth if that same source quoted otherwise . . . .First of all, the report itself is misleading with the twisted facts. Nigeria gained points which are close to the amount of points gained by the USA, which in itself is not surprising. The USA as it is has made a lot of progress which means that they only have to make some minor changes. It's like expecting Usain Bolt to improve his time from 9.6 sec to 8 Sec? its impossible. It is rather possible for someone running 11 sec to improve to 10.9sec, so if bolt improves to 9.5 sec and the other guy runs 10.9, although the both added 0.1sec, that doesn't mean that they are mates. Secondly, I am interested in the likes of farouk, bankole, otedola, and so on, and and not a retired IG who stole not up to 5 percent when compared to the other guys I mentioned earlier. So what are we saying? The President has powers to veto some arrests, and let him use it and go full scale war on corruption, and not some selective treatments. NB: not that I didn't notice your derogatory remarks and insults, I only chose to ignore them and discuss on the issues rather than derail the discussion. It would be demeaning and an insult on my personality to engage you in trading insults. I advise you to stop being emotional and state your facts like an adult. |
jmaine: The same ediot above won't hesitate to use other African nations to judge us . . . .I cant help but marvel at the length to which you are willing to go in a bid to deceive yourself and the unsuspecting populace of the progresses made in the fight against corruption. I will only take your claims serious when you give me a list of names of people behind bars as a result of being prosecuted for corruption, and not ordinary committees to only confirm what we already know that these people are corrupt. What has the presidency done about the over-bloated cabinet and the amount being wasted on a daily basis? The fact that we are second doesn't mean that we are doing well, it only shows that others are not improving.. When has it become a norm for two negatives To result in a positive when added? Even Obj can boast of high profile prosecutions and subsequent imprisonment. |
jmaine: A repeat post to the dumbos recklessly ejecting their loads all over this thread . . . .I feel ashamed that you can spew such foolish analogy... Because you are second most improved in Africa (not even the most improved) shows progress? Are you fvcking kidding me? |
