You are talking about online bank. First of all, how many customers do those online banks have.

Secondly so you know also that so failed transaction using some of these POS of online banks takes time to come back too.

Thirdly I hope you know too that some of these online banks have their system attached to the traditional banking services. The traditional banks provide the platform in which they operate.

I still work in the banks presently, we interface with all these online banks and a very big yes, transaction hangs in theirs too and it takes time to resolve.

Some are fully independent with millions of account holders, typical example are Carbon, Opay, etc.

I can categorically tell you that they resolve issue faster than traditional banks.

The basis of all this is that banks are highly under staffed and I blame CBN for all this. This is because they are supposed to regulate the welfare of banks staff and also. checkmate their workload.

My experience in banking, I have noticed that banks will rather prefer frauds to take place than for them to employ more staff to mitigate it. They did prefer for customers issue to go unsettled or delayed than for them to employ hands that will make the process faster.

Most banks have few hands attending to customers complaint resolution.

A lot of POS/ATM transaction that failed, customers hardly get refunds. And some that do have to go through the stress of going to the bank over and over again.

Now imagine how much yearly that customers forfeit to bank.

Most bank staff are overstretched in their work place. The bank management knows and the HR knows too.

Then the bulk of the staff in branches are mostly contract staff who earns very little money with little or no benefits. How then do you expect them to perform better.

I recently went through the he financial statements of the top 5 banks in Nigeria. Just see their enormous profit, yet bulk of their staff are contracts who earn nothing and CBN just kept quiet.


If our CBN regulatory department are doing their work properly, Andy bank who's yearly profit is above 100Bn have no business paying any of their staff doing core banking job less than 200k.

Funny enough, some banks have a yearly profit above 200Bn yet some of their core banking staff are been paid less than 100k monthly.

This is not an issue at all. Infact bank can fully operate without any staff. All they needed is working automated system that will respond to customer's complaints immediately.

If those online banks can solve their customers problem in less than 24 hours, I don't think there is any excuse for traditional banks to do the same.

Their actions are mostly deliberate, and there is no regulation authority the victims can report.

I've been a regular member in here but I'd decided to open a fresh account for the sake of privacy, and please pardon my typographical errors or probably correct them for me cause I like learning.

So here's the thing, I've been working for someone as a labourer for the past five years in a small private company. A very stressful work and very time consuming that I see no future in it and its affecting my health at the same time causeI always look stressed up, however I've been able to save a little over 3 million within this period of time. But your man is getting old, am 27 and by now I'm supposed to have a sable business of my own I should be doing.

Now am planning to leave the work cause to me it seems like I've wasted all this years cause I don't have any single skill to start with, I have no knowledge of any business to venture into and if I decide to go and start learning handwork it will take me more time, hence my confusion.. So many thought have been going through my mind. if I should relocate, buy a small car and start uber business or if I should look for a way and leave the country, or if I should just venture into business.

Please guys what do you advise me to do

I will advise you to save your money in dollar account or start trading usdt and continue enduring at where you work till you are able to start making reasonable profit from your investment.

Business is not easy these days, and majority of startup and the existing ones may likely find it hard or pack off by the time they remove fuel subsidy next year.

Just wanted to give an update on the thread.I was able to stop breastfeeding in June, I gave my child fresh milk ,cerelac and solids as alternatives. I tracked my ovulation in July, funny enough i never did anything with hubby during my ovulation window but did something before and after. Found out I am now pregnant in August.

You are a dubious personel just like PDP. Imaging skipping all military head of state from Northern region. Azikiwe was ceremonial head of state, which mean he has no constitution power.

Even if the south had spent more time in power than North since inception of this current Republic, that doesn't change the fact that outgoing president is from the North. A wise northerner without been told should know that it is only logical for power to return to South especially this period that questions/agitation has been raised about unity and peaceful co-existence of Nigeria.

@op, it depends on your location and lifestyle, 100k is more than enough for a family in many states in Nigeria where people don't have to pay huge rent, spend much on transportation or pay exorbitant school fee on their children. To those living in Lagos, Abuja and Co, it is better for the women to have sources of income too.
