Your friend is under the command of people who are under the command of my friend at the same base but I am not going to give you my friend's name. Your friend informed you that we have just two Alfa jets and he flies one of them? Big lie!!

We have over 100 combat aircrafts. Our combat aircrafts are MIGs, SEPECAT jaguars and most recently the Chinese Chengdu fighters. My friend says that the air force is considering whether to ground the MIGs or upgrade them. We have numerous trainers and transport aircrafts and a few bombers. We also have dozens of attack and transport helicopters. We need a radar-jamming device.

Mind you, I never said that we will defeat all air force in Africa. I said that we are equipped to deal with most forces in Africa both within and outside our territory and I stand by the statement.

You and your friend are big liars. The Nigerian Air force is just considering bringing in new figther planes and combat helicopters before the end of this year. Most of the pilots have been sent to foreign countries like US, Uk, SA, Italy to mention a few for flying training. It may interest you to know that a good number of them are my close friends.The NAF has only 2 Alpha jets than can fly and zero MIG that can fly. All MIG-21 figthers and Jaguar jets have been grounded 15 - 20 years ago. Go to Markurdi Airforce base you will see them there. They can't fly an inch.

As for combat helicopters, 3 of my friends all Flt. Lt's are among those sent to US for combat helicopter flying with the hope of coming back to fly the new combat helicopters the NAF is planning to acquire. Go to Airforce base in PH and see the helicopters they have there, only 2 Mi-35P can fly at the moment out of 4. All the BO-105 helicopters have been grounded. Also go to MM airport in ikeja the NAF has one helicopter wing there; none of the BO-105 helicopters can fly. So where did dey house all the combat helicopters and jets you are talking about?? na underground hanger dem house dem??

My friend is a frontline fighter pilot in NAF and he told me that the Airforce is equiped to deal with most forces in Africa, both within and outside our territory.

Take am easy; na lie!! Whats your friends name?? The Nigerian Air Force is better called Nigerian Ground Force. Which planes do dey have at the moment?? The squadron of Alpha jets they bought during shagari regime which dey used to scare cameroon then have only about 2 or so flying. I was told this by one of my friends (Flt. Lt. ------------); a fighter pilot with the Air weapons School, NAF, New-Bussa, Kainji where the Alpha jet fighter squadron is. He is the youngest fighter pilot in the NAF at the moment. Are you going to use only 2 flying jets to fight and win a war?? The Nigerian Army infantary, armour and artillery put together to some extent can fight and win a war but i won't say they are the best in West Africa because they lack a lot of computerized systems and weapons which would have given them advantage.

Yes, you are competent because you had your initial training at the polytechnic. i am helping you to thank God for that. All those so-called university theoretical engineers are bunch of disappointments; Technicians are better than them.

What good thing that has NSE Engineers done in Ngeria?? Have they been able to come out with any good design for a machine that will be milling rice?? Technicians are even better these days from what i'm seeing, i think we shld equally have a Nigerian Society of Technicians (NST) that will live up to expectations. Government does not believe in NSE that is why they give all the good contracts to foreign firms and Engineers. Nigerian Engineers have failed Nigerians, Engineers in nigeria are more or less Technicians so why all the noise about being in NSE or COREN??

I'm really suprised. I only asked that question because the name mathematics was used; and for your information mathematics includes statistics/probability and operations research. it's like saying electrical/electronics engineering, and people who studied either electrical engineering or electronics engineering still fit in. even a course like Metallurgical/materials engineering, people people Degrees in metallurgical engineering still fit in. What about Geology, Geology/Minning and GeoPhysics??

But there won't be polytechnics and HND any more in Nigeria. Have you forgotten that Government have scrapped and abolished HND programs and HND certificate in Nigeria?? No more polytechnics in nigeria again.

What took you to Mathematics Department in the 1st place?? Anyway look for one secondary school around you and start teaching students mathematics; atleast you know about algebra, geometry, quadratic and simultaneous equations.

Pally shut up your mouth!! I read Mathematics (with bias in Statistics). I'm presently working but not as a MATHEMATICIAN. if it's not because of the money why then do people or everybody want to work in NNPC, Shell, Mobil, LNG CBN etc. For your information i have been a teacher before and i still plan to go back to teaching. But i will still say it here that being a mathematician in Nigeria is at your own peril because there are no good jobs for mathematicians in Nigeria. How many companies in Nigeria believe in the applications of mathematics and statistics in industries?? Even our government, do they believe in Mathematics and Statistics?? Do we have the data needed for proper planning?? Was the last Nigerian census (2006) not a failure?? Did they employ Mathematicians, Statisticians and Demographers to handle the census?? How many companies believe in the Design of Experiment?? How many companies in Nigeria believe in product/process control using mathematical/statistical techniques which oyinbo people in US and Europe use?? Yet you want me to believe it pays to read mathematics and remain in Nigeria. it pays to read mathematics and fly out to Europe or America else your knowledge will be wasted and lost.

If you want to become a Computer Engineer, then you must have to go for at least, four-year tertiary institution training, and acquire B.Eng. There is no short cut

But if on the other hand, you want to become computer 'engineer' then go to all these makeshift training centers and learn computer appreciation, assembly, installation, troubleshooting and 'stand out' with computer networking

With these, you will end up with screw drivers, crimping tools, LAN testers, etc.

When they ask Computer Engineers who know algorithms, Memory architecture, logic/digital signal, processor design, assembly language, etc to come out, you will be no where to be found

Hey, Computer Engineers carry those tools around too. In Nigeria they are all technicians.

Please nigeria is not an islamic state. i wonder how arabic got into our naira notes sef?? arabic is not the official language in Nigeria, and i thank God for that. i know that you are talking in favour of you religion and not in favour of those hausas that cannot read english language.

yoruba muslims are getting me angry. why should yoruba muslims be against the removal of arabic on our naira notes?? they should be careful o!! A friend of mine, a born-again christian told me that the Biblical Cain was not truely the son of Adam, that Cain was concieved when Lucifer made love to Eve. He said that Lucifer decieved Eve and first made love to her and when she enjoyed it she decided to extend it to Adam; that was when God got angry with them. He further said that Cain was concieved as a result of the union between Lucifer and Eve while Abel was concieved as a result of the union between Eve and Adam. He said Cain behaves like his father (Lucifer) while Abel took after his own father Adam. Could this be true??

Come to think of it was it really a fruit like an apple that Eve gave to Adam to eat?? I think we are only giving literal meaning to a tree in the middle of a garden, and Eve being decieved by the serpent to eat of the fruit of that tree; and Eve giving the fruit to Adam to eat. Think well and shine your eyes. The answer is not far from you.

The word "Hausa" wasn't actually mentioned. Only the Sultan was actually targeted, and this certainly isn't against Islam, but the principles that should be accepted in Nigeria, considering the fact that Nigeria is not a Musilm or Arabic state and Nigerians are not Arabs.
