Why even think of an idea of waiting for 'a lot' to decamp? Aren't we our own problem like this? The only reason I might choose to vote this time is because for the first time in a long while, most Nigerians have chosen to look beyond that stup*d party thing. The only time we'll get it right is when we start believing in candidates rather than party. I've always believed in this school of thought from time immemorial and I know that's the right way to follow. Ortom has danced with both parties, from PDP to APC, then PDP again, where has he gotten us to? I've read comments of people talking about party for years and I shake my head in disbelief and sorrow each time. See them here again. When would we ever learn? Then again, if we refuse to change, how would our leaders change? Aren't we and our leaders the same? Or do they come from Jupiter?

I do not ever wish to be politically correct or have everyone agree with me when analysing the issues with Nigeria because the ills are too enormous to dissect in one particular trajectory.

If the next President is bold enough to be as nonchalant to the hues and cries of the citizens as Buhari had been all through his term and go about facing one of the ills of this country be it Corruption, power generation, economy, or security, we'd have gotten another issue addressed.

A President who would want to score some cheap points applauds, and caring about what the citizens and media say about his image will fail in achieving a single deliverable from his to do list.

With the way the present Nigeria is setup, any attempt to pander to the yearnings of the citizens to resolve all the ills at the same time will lead to an abysmal failure.

The issues need to be addressed one at a time while other sectors suffer.

This is to say, Nigerians aren't going to have it any easier in the coming years no matter who wins. This is the reality and honest truth.

Buhari has given us the electoral bill and the powers to vote, have our votes counted, and our choice elected, let's see what the next man will do.

If only we could get someone who'd be able to rally the rogues for a discarding of the current nonsense called the constitution and a true and proper constitution drawn up to address every agitation and skewness in the current trash, we would have succeeded in laying the proper foundation upon which we can begin to build a true country alongside the electoral reform act.

But as it presently stands, the above is a pipe dream and impossible with the present thieves and their masters who'd have everything to lose.

All in all, Buhari did some people motor, refused to be used and dumped the second time, and is leaving us with an opportunity to begin to get excited about voting and participating in the electoral process and in my opinion, this is laudable.

The Obidients are all fired up, hopeful, and dare to dream of having their candidate win the next Presidential election, it is as a result of Bubu's electoral reform act.

That the Batties are confident that their candidate is the best and most qualified candidate to win it not minding anyone's opinion of him and the lack of the Federal influence, it is all because of Buhari's shege to them all.

That the Athiefkulates are for the first time not so confident in their quest and almost mute in the build-up, we have Buhari's Messiship to thank for that.

I'm almost forty and I can't recall when Nigeria was ever great. Let's stop at " Nigeria shall be great ", remove that "again" abeg. I just hope we'll ALL change our attitude to realize that dream.

The attitude of the Nigerian masses was the reason I chose not to vote in the last elections. It's either you're presented with sh*tty candidates then the crowd forces you to choose between the lesser evil or some other sh*tty exhibitions like this. This thing is simple logic. You don't want the Tinubu man to win, you believe he will loose for being insensitive by choosing a Muslim vice( to me, he was in the most difficult position among the others to make decision in the VP selection process), he chose a Muslim, has he won? Why the protest?
You have a choice too. Go to the ballot and make things right if it's wrong rather than provoking the very people you say you don't want. Humans tend to like doing what you tell them not to, I see all these noise instead as a campaign for, not against the Tinubu you don't want. I don't see the necessity of this protest. You mustn't link someone's stup*d and inconsiderable act to politics or 2023. I remember when I was working in Abuja around 2014, I would leave the house very early and come back late and exhausted. I was new then so I was staying at my sister's house. Almost every night, when I'm deep into sleep, she wakes up and starts her loud prayers,waking me up in the process too. This was a full time house wife who stays at home from morning till night, could have her naps in the day while I was at work yet won't let me sleep at night. It's the major reason I had to sacrifice a great percentage of my salary and left her place for a rented apartment in a short time- just like you, she didn't even use her head to know she wasn't acting right and I never told her. It was so annoying . Will God be so happy with her actions? Is that how your 'god' works? Is it any different from this case? Simple things we should apply logic we go de shout persecution.
