I was in my 100 level that year when it all happened. Somehow I didn't know how I wasn't afraid to stay in the hostel that night despite all warnings that something terrible was about to happen that day. That night on campus was as silent as the grave. The call for prayers was so loud that evening. It saw non Muslims leaving in droves to either their homes or to some friends' place staying off K. But I was head strong, I remained in the room. ONLY ME. In the early hours of that morning, perhaps around 2am or so, I'm not sure, my room mates, the ones who were Muslims returned to the room. I could hear one very good one of them saying " see what they have caused, now an innocent guy has died for nothing ". I didn't understand, but I pretended I was sleeping. Next morning, students started returning, it was all jokes initially cos they hadn't known what occurred in the dead of the night. ' Ah, fear fear, where you run go last night? '. Yes, people made such jokes until they found the young man's body behind that mosque. Long story short, every one ran out again and school was closed for many months..... Memories... And again, the guy's room was just beneath mine, I knew ALL his room mates, I knew Bandung, Nsikak, I knew the regular visitors to that room, except him. Even looking at his picture for the first time since then, I still do not recognize him. Death has it's funny ways.... But I don't know if Pantami was involved.

Very mature response. You hardly see such here. About the topic, my immediate ex was extremely beautiful but with the most terrible character I've ever experienced in any human. From multiple (sometimes needless) lies to cheating and all. Most beautiful girls don't like good guys, they're been approached by multiple guys so they deceive many while many only approach them solely for the purpose of using them. They don't want to settle down with one guy cos they always believe there's a better guy better than their better guy, lol. You automatically become insecure if you truly want to settle down with them, even if you pretend not to be like I did for too long. Thing is, the beautiful girls aren't misunderstood as you put it, rather they are the most confused set of humans on planet earth (Most of them, not all). I chose to marry a not-so-pretty girl with a pretty heart shortly after we broke up because I became really tired of the drama. Those girls are better character wise - the not too pretty.

Nairaland was actually very fun before

I swear, Nairaland was a very fun place to be. I was in Abuja in those days and I remember the fear I used to live with anytime I'm caught up in traffic. My ex was a perfect definition of liability. Very beautiful like mamiwater. We dated for long, I knew her when she was just 18 and then, cos I was previledged to start earning from my NYSC days, I started supporting her financially till she graduated and started working. Only twice I asked her for a favor throughout the relationship and she declined, even when she got a well paid job, a job better than mine. Thing is, selfishness runs in the blood, no matter how rich a selfish person is, he/she remains selfish. When I met my wife, she was a secondary school teacher ( you know what this means) and she was so sensitive to every little challenge I was faced with. She was always willing to help even without me asking. It's like she came from another world. My advice to young guys is to stay away from such girls, particularly the beautiful ones from broke homes. Leave them for already- made men like FFK or Dangote, else you'll hardly grow.

If truly they're married, I don't think she should have even thought of committing suicide, if of course that news is true.
