If only we are true to ourselves, when boko haram started, their first targets were security operatives, then Islamic scholars who preached contrary to their beliefs, then to churches and mosques, markets, motor parks, villages or any gathering whatsoever. Why then do some of us cry that their direct target is on Christians alone when as a matter of fact these guys have no choice of target when it comes to killing? I am a Christian and I have knowledge of history unlike the average Nigerian who forgets in a jiffy. Boko haram KILLINGS have nothing to do with religion( it is indiscriminate), but religious fanatism by the members of the religion, a character most of us posses here in Nigeria, I don't know if you understand my point..... You said one song can make an artist blow, that's very true, but do you know there's more to music than just singing? How did the governors before him handle even worse situations? Why should any sane man use the lives of humans for politics? I am not from Benue state but as we must all agree whatever affects one part of our control must be taken seriously by all so that we can have a very peaceful country once again. I do not think that Ortom is the worst governor considering the perfomances of other governors in most parts of the north. They greatest challenge I think Ortom faced was his inability to pay workers. What about infrastructure? For me his move to secure the state and its people from the murderous fulanis must be commended.

I mentioned Kogi state just for you to compare developments between the two states. Every Kogi man/woman wants to vote out the governor. His performance cannot be compared like that of Ortom. Ortom is far better and Benue is better than Kogi my friend.

For the record, you said I was angered or sentimental because he switched to PDP. How? Why? Like you're happily impossing him on us because he's now PDP? If you really want us to leave in peace then that idea of following the band wagon to believe that a total failure ultimately becomes a saint once they switch parties should be totally ditched. Its what these politicians use on we the masses. Your governor may be worse but that does not in any way make Ortom a good man. ZoneB will only vote for Ortom because he is "their brother". Of course Jime is their brother too. Zone C(Idomas etc) is a known PDP zone but chose not to vote Ortom for two reasons; 1. He performed very very very poorly 2.Jime's wife is Idoma. These are the sentiments that played out during the just (in)concluded elections. Benue has never had any governor from zone C, Only zone A and B.So my friend, Jime is not an Igede man......... And like I always say, all sentiments aside, Ortom is the worst we've ever had.

Ortom is a perfect definition of failure who doesn't in any way deserve a second chance. But this is Nigeria, I believe he's going to be reSELECTED, sad, really sad but we know why.

The only way you see it? Nobody in Benue believes Ortom is a good man, the sentiments rather come into play when you have people voting in a complete failure just so he could "complete his eight years and go" because if Jime wins(who happens to come from the same zone as ortom), he might lead for another 8years, MAKING IT TWELVE YEARS FOR THESAME ZONE. The Idomas know this, the Tivs know this too. Two zones (A and B) are for the Tivs, one voted because ortom is "thier brother" the other voted because of the reason above( complete your mess and give us our turn) . Idomas (ZoneC, the PDP dominated zone) voted against Ortom because he is a complete failure and maybe partially because of your reason too. Benue only selects its governors from Zone A and B. So you see the many sentiments and reasons involved? It appears nobody voted for Party this time, it was Ortom's incompetence that made Benue raise votes for Buhari, strange but you'll understand better if you live here.

If you look at things critically you'll realize there's no such thing as "the good old days". From history, every generation claims theirs was better than the present. In the 80's and 90's there were no color TV's, a few had video machines, we cooked mostly with palm oil, not because of its nutritional value but because it was more affordable, no phones, a few had land lines .... .... So much for the "good old days".
