I know alot of people that have been violating the restriction but I won't mention names.
both the reach o, the poor o, all are violating it. Do you know the number of the so called poor that travel on roads in a day? From Lagos to kano to bauchi to owerri and everywhere, people are traveling steadily. So for this lock down law, it is violation galore for all and sundry

PoliticsRe: Edo: PDP In Tight Corner Over Obaseki’s Ticket Bid by zikter(m): 6:10am On Jun 15, 2020
Very precarious situation for Obaseki now. PDP will likely not give him the ticket. The viable way out for him is to fly on one of the other numerous parties we have. Considering the way some people are portraying him to be brave, rugged and well rooted in Edo, he can fight his way to victory on any platform. Except if the hype is another empty chest beating, I don't see why he is stressing himself to join PDP

TravelRe: He Scammed Me Under The Pretence To Process My Admission Abroad by zikter(m): 6:50pm On Jun 01, 2020
dongodav:
Hi all the moguls,

Please there is this company in Akure that scammed me some years ago under the pretence of helping me secure admission abroad. I paid a total of 1.something million naira and he is still owing me 788K. Ever since then, the company has not been opening and they have vacated the office.

I even visited SARS in Akure, they said I have to write a petition through a lawyer and I paid the lawyer 10K write petition which he handed over the letter to me without knowing i will still pay SARS again before the job commenced.

When I got to SARS station, they said I should pay so that they can take the letter to the CP for approval but I don't have any dime on me again. And since the company is no more existing, I thought it might also be another loss.
Please I have his phone number but it is not reachable when I try it and I don't think it is attached to his BVN because it is quite long and I know his fullname but I don't know his home town. His office was located in Akure then and I know his Company name.

He did processed admission to few schools in Russia, Ukraine and Poland. Please advice and if there is anyone that can help and when we get him, the person will take 288K while I have the remaining 500K.

Also, is it advisable to post his name, company's name and phone number online? Cos it might be illegal to do that except with a legal backup.
@ OP, i dont think you followded the right channel in reporting. Why not EFCC as against SARS. this is a finnancila crime and not a robbery issue. Try EFCC

Are you not forgetting something? Election in Nigeria is not straight forward the way you are putting it. It is never on paper or analysis as you are doing. Mostly, the highest rigger takes it and mostly the FG backed candidate is the highest rigger. I will not be surprise if the pastor clinches the ticket and at win the elections.
The most we can do at that time is to cry foul.

Once they get into the seat of power, they start marrying plenty wives..

Its high time we start cutting dicks of aspiring political leaders from the north. Not as if they can make good decisions while in those seats
But according to the news update, this particular man had only one wife who died leaving 4 children behind since 2018. So I think your comment does not apply to him. Of course he can very much remarry considering the children may not even be around to take care of him.

The person is a mopol (mobile police officer?) who works with my wife's company. He is into the business of bringing cars for people to Abj. It's a tokumbo car so no tracker yet.

60k should be for his transport to Lagos, fueling the car back to Abj and every other expenses including his profit I guess?
If he is a mopol, lucky you, otherwise it would have cost you more

Put yourself in the drivers shoe.. Even if he knows the person..,, trans back to lagos is how much, what will be left with him after transporting himself back to lagos, except if he will give him trans to lagos back., every other exps on his way.. Then extra 10k - 15k for work done.. Which still little to me

30k - 40k isn't too much (Inclusive of police share on his way to abj)

If the owner is to go pick the car, and get back.. Check out his expenses, time spent and stress driving back to Abj...
30-40k is small as well If it is this time of lockdown. op should prepare for nothing less than 100k for the numerous police, army and probably customs, especially if they are moving it during daytime. It could be less if they move at night. 100k will cover for the total expenses. Only transportation fare back to Lagos for now is between 10k-15k.

To be unequivocal with the truth, the war against banditry and terrorism can't be won with military campaign alone. We need to investigate etymologically and come up with decisive measure to nip the security challenges in the bud.
What intelligence have we gathered concerning their operations and grievances? What other measures are we applying to tame these cruel people?
Very true, cosmetic approach to insurgency generally is very hard to be successful, no matter how advanced your military is, let alone with our struggling arm forces. Grassroot approach through human capital development is needed urgently in this country

But u have to admit this is FUNNY! Some day it might be a comedy skit. Read it again and swear u didn’t laugh (this our country won’t kill me with laughter eh!):

...Even more perplexing was the fact that in some of the polling units, voter turnout was more than the registered voters. How is this possible?
In Uzodinma's result sheets, there was no voided vote and only two parties, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and APC participated and were reflected in the election results of the 388 polling units. Yet, 70 political parties participated in that election and were all reflected in the INEC declared results of other polling units all over the state.
..,Does it mean that other parties such as All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Action Alliance (AA), etc., did not participate in the election in those 388 polling units contrary to INEC's results in other areas of the state?
Why did the result sheets reflect only two parties when so many parties participated in the said election? Apparently, Senator Uzodinma concocted those results that fly in the face of the basic laws of arithmetic and common sense between the PDP and the APC after the fact that the PDP had won the election and he only scored his party a vote figure higher than the PDP vote. The corollary to that is that if it was any other party that was on the cusp of victory, Uzodinma's results would have been between just the APC and that party! Yet our almighty Supreme Court glossed over all these fundamental anomalies in Uzodinma's result sheets which had been rejected by even INEC... andm accepted same as authentic.
I admit wailing is normal, nothing more.
PoliticsRe: Obaseki: APC's NWC Has No Power To Decide Mode Of Primary In Edo by zikter(m): 6:33am On May 23, 2020
Obaseki should forget about Buhari's backing. Time and again, Buhari has not interfere in this tussles at state level. APC has lost some states due to his inability to bring the warring parties together. So Obaseki, just go to the drawing board and strategize how you will fight your battle.

This is what I hate most about buharist, they don't have any solid arguments to defend their president.
I don't think is about a Buharist. If at this stage he is not enlightened enough to know the difference between ebola situation and Covid-19, then he may not be very far from the tag he was given. Ebola was not even a new thing as it has been discovered years before, it was deadlier but not contagious as Covid-19, and Covid-19 is a new virus, hence the haphazard approaches to tackling it from WHO to every where in the world.
APC and PDP are same of same, they couldn't have done better either, judging from their disastrous reign.

But he is not the only governor how come he is the only only one so honored?? But the bigger question is wether the sobriquet, “419 SUPREME COURT GOVERNOR”, is justified seeing he was fraudulently selected by the SC despite overwhelming evidence he forged election materials
Nothing is justified. It is just one of the wailing slogans, it comes in different forms and that is the version for the wailers chapter in imo. Not as if there is any value attached to it though.

But the SC did not fraudulently select Mr. Trump neither did he forge election materials.
Also those Imolites can’t be enjoying so much democracy if they came up with the nickname: SUPREME COURT GOVERNOR, the only governor to be so honored
Those imolites plus you are just wailing, again as I emphasized is a normal thing. To wail is human. That doesn't stop dividends of democracy as it is evident. The wailers can be wailing and enjoying the dividends. If they don't want to enjoy, they are free to do so. Their choice, their problem. The people's governor will continue to deliver

BTW, The word “sadly” is aptly used above by your good self or is that Freudian slip
Well, sadly in this context is for the few pained. But like I pointed out before, pain and wailing in politics is not a sin and is completely normal. Democrats are still wailing about Trump till date. Just like the pained in imo, that does not stop them from enjoying democracy dividends

Well, the good people of Imo are also the ones who confered that distinguishing sobriquet on him out of all the governors. U know fully well it neither originated with me nor was it originated by NL. The question is, in view of obvious malfeasance by SC, wether IMO PEOPLE are justified in nicknaming him “SUPREME COURT GOV” or “419 SUPREME COURT GOV”
Disgruntled Imo people you meant to say. Sadly he will govern them for the next for year regardless of their wailing. Most importantly, they will also enjoy dividends of democracy from the executive governor as they are doing now

Well, the election referee is INEC. They declared him 4th and no single member of his part was elected locally. All tribunals and courts and everyone agreed with INEC, EXCEPT the Supreme Court - hence the sobriquet SUPREME COURT GOVERNOR
Well, to the good people of Imo, he is the governor for the next four years. And officially, he is addressed as the executive governor of Imo and not supreme court governor. The tag supreme court governor exist only with disgruntled people which is not abnormal. Some people usually find it hard to get over a loss, so they keep mourning, but that just what it is. The good thing is the people are enjoying the dividends if democracy from the person they elected

Well, their opinions. The official and lawful position is clear. He is the bonafide elected governor by the majority of the good people of Imo state.

Bros he finished FOURTH, have u forgotten?
See what newspapers wrote:

“Both the EPT and the Appeal Court dismissed Uzodinma’s petition for lacking in merit

By relying on the faulty tabulation made by Sen. Uzodinma, the Supreme Court arrived at a figure of 950,952 total votes cast at the election, which is more than the total votes cast at the election totalling 823,743.

This gave rise to 127,209 excess votes at the election as affirmed by the Supreme Court, which all through avoided mentioning figures regarding the votes cast for the disputants or the total registered voters and valid and invalid votes in the judgment.”
We know all these, the parties involved all argued before the competent court of law. The superior argument won the case with all facts and figured presented. Anything else we say here only exist in the realm of conjectures and doesn't count. He was elected the governor of Imo, rigged out, but proof his case, hence he is the governor now.

Okay o, one can never be certain about politics here. Like I say, if Obaseki knows what is good for him, he should pick the APC ticket. Nigerian politics get as e be. If you think the deputy has boys to rig then think again. Because by the time Adams roll out police or army, the boys will disappear. The best bet for Obaseki is to work hard to win the primaries, otherwise it will be difficult

I have given up on the guy already. It is impossible to have a rational discussion with some fellow citizens. No amount of reasoning seems sufficient to eradicate the prejudice, envy and anger in their mind. I am increasingly believing these days that the attacks many e-Nigerians are willing to mete out on any category of labour union might be erupting from envy, that you have guys have jobs and you are still going on strike. Be it lecturers, doctors, etc, some Nigerians keep the same old song of sack-and-replace-them-all. Sack and replace who exactly?

Lecturing job is one of the most specialized fields I have ever seen. In some cases, only one or few departments can boast of specific expertise in the country. And whenever you lose such individuals to other countries, that is often the end of that field in Nigeria. In fact in lecturing, you can not readily replace one professor with another.

The level of ignorance and mis-education in Nigeria baffles me. It is like many of my fellow citizens don't even care a hoot to inform their own native ignorance and biases. Many keep thinking that lecturing is all about delivering lectures in classrooms and that on that basis alone you should measure the competence and replacability of our university academic staff. No. Lecturing constitutes less than half of the academic duties and responsibilities of a lecturer. This fact seems lost on most Nigerians. The larger part of the calling of a university academic staff is to engage in research to increase human knowledge...this is the primary duty. And it is in the fulfilling of this primary duty that a lecturer is meant to train the country's workforce. In most developed countries on Earth today, possession of a PhD is no longer the minimum requirement to be employed as a faculty member. You must have engaged in postdoctoral research for years, sometimes up to 10 years before you secure a lecturing job. It now beats my imagination that some Nigerians would even think such highly trained experts can be simply replaced by job-seeking individuals who are still learning how to compose a CV.

Thanks my brother for your kind comments. I read the last response of that my fellow Nigerian, and it occurred to me that explanations have all along been wasted on someone that might not be interested in examining facts.
I fully understand you. That is the level of ignorance we have among our youths here. Supposed leaders of tomorrow. Given an opportunity, that is how this kind of person will crumble the whole sectors of the economy with this singular decision. Sometimes I weep for our educational sector, the way the government is neglecting it, the standard is becoming worse everyday while politicians keep fleecing away scarce resources.

You are free to ask any random pharmacist you know around about this thing. Disbelief is easily remedied by getting the right information. And yes I have done different postings relating to the pharmacy profession already... But there's not point going into this again here.

You need to correct your idea of what constitutes insubordination. The Executive arm of the Federal Government is not the Boss. I know that the long period that we have spent under colonial masters and later military administrators has made it difficult for some of us to stop viewing those elected into offices as the owner of our lives...

And no, I have not bragged...not even once. But for someone without the working knowledge of what I stated, I understand that it would come across as bragging... It is very easy for you to verify, if you are in the mood. Call up a professor, or simply find out the duties and responsibilities of different academic cadres in the Universities, Polytechnics and so on. Reconcile this with the stipulations of the NUC for each position and those of the professional councils for professional courses like Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Dentistry, Law, Engineering, and son on. You can easily get the BMAS for all undergraduate courses from the NUC website for instance. After going through these requirements for lecturing these various courses, then you can independently come to the conclusion on whether or not lecturers can simply be replaced with a single wave of Buhari-hand...

That's even just for undergraduate courses. We will take it to postgraduate levels it becomes a lot more interesting.
He clearly doesn't have a single idea of how the system works. It was Crystal clear from my discussion with him, pointing out these things you are saying. He thinks it is just waving a sack wand, going to street to pick lecturers to come and work. He thinks the government is even doing the lecturers a favour by letting them teach in schools
