jlinkd78: Sometimes I wonder what we would have had if not for d courageous and fearless persons like Wike whose eloquent and Frank outbursts have helped to shape and redefind governance. When u go to Port Harcourt and see d quality of four to five Flyovers being constructed by Wike by no other but Julius Berger, u can't help but ask how does Wike get money to do all these. The APC lapdogs suddenly got their voice when they thought dat d refund from FG has been received by Wike but with this d governor's clarification, it's clear that d developmental disposition of Mr Project, who is not even standing for reelection being in his second and final term, is real and born out of his love for his ppl of Rivers State. For d Thank you by Wike to Buhari it was a very smart and rugged political move to nail Buhari vindictiveness and intransigent mindset knowing fully Buhari will not pay Rivers dat money but thanking him in advance makes Wike a better politician Why will you wonder where they get money from? FG allocation, IGR, borrowing. If not because all of them are useless, every state in Nigeria should be well developed even with monthly allocations alone. But they prefer spending on junks in thousands of political appointees, cronies and finally embezzlement. If they eventually manage to complete a project, they will shamelessly start blabbing up and down. |

CodeTemplar: IPPIS is good but needs refinement. I support a central system that manages payroll of MDAs. With the way, things are they could decide to integrate a biometric login system that will further expose absentees who are getting paid. Yea, the system is not bad is they apply it very well. But see the way they are using it, numerous pay cut complaints and now ghost workers surfacing. |
Politics › Re: Civil Servants, Ex-banker Arraigned For IPPIS, ‘ghost’ Workers Fraud by zikter(m): 1:36pm On Aug 11, 2020 |
Okay, it explains why dead and retired lecturers were paid on the system. Fraud and more fraud. How can you be paying ASUU members who never enrolled themselves on a system that needs biometric capturing to be enrolled? The same way they achieved that is the same way they are enrolling ghost workers. Audit that platform and you will discover one of the biggest frauds in Nigeria. No wonder people are just crying all over about IPPIS |

I am sure that is what happened, in such cases, it is not uncommon of uniform personnel to interact with colleagues and avoid delays on the highway. |

FrLukas: Don't be silly bro.
Who's stopping anyone from contesting?
Go and check how many Igbos contested for presidency in 2019.
Yet they all flocked to lick the balls of their Fulani overlords.
So, where is the marginalization? it is absurd when Igbos insinuate marginalization in ruling this country. I agree with you, fine Igbos contested the presidential election last time and on every presidential election. However, Igbos choose to vote others, neglecting their own, even queuing behind a Fulani in Atiku, while hypocritically insulting others for supporting Buhari, another Fulani. They have forgotten that politics is about building bridges and alliances to further your interest. Tinubu build the defunct AC from a single state and formed an alliance with CPC to the present APC who are in power. Today, the Yorubas are in the midst of power and are already discussing a possibility of another presidency. But look at APGA, where is it today? The party is almost going extinct with no meaningful effect in power brokering. Nobody gives anybody anything on a platter in politics, you create a niche and make yourself relevant in the scheme of things. |

Bekool: The apc knows quite very well that nigerians are not ready yet for any kind of revolution that's why they have the guts to continue to rig elections in nigeria. The governorship elections in kogi and osun states where openly rigged by them and nothing happened, they used the cjn to remove a popular governor in imo state nothing happened they could have also rigged out wike but it seems they thought about the crises it might generate for them and backed off considering that rivers state is the oil capital of nigeria. I don't see any free and fair elections in this edo governorship elections in September it's still the same people that are running things in aso rock and inec obaseki should just be prepared for the very worst. The two parties are perpetual riggers, in fact pdp is the father and inventor of rigging. APC learnt from them. By the way, both parties will still rig in the election. The highest rigger is the one that will win. Both Obaseki o, POI o, are oiling their rigging machinery as we speak |
