i suggest the something already suggested get a new battery with same rating as the old one since it worked very well untill it died so no need look for anything higher than that

really why change the springs when the car is vibrates when soon after starting ?

It's a Honda accord 97 auto . I've been observing that I cannot stay with the windows wound up without mist developing within 1minute except I use the A.C.

I have taken it to be normal till I drove my friends car(same model and year as mine) and I was driving in the rain for more then 20minutes without AC and no mist..

Any ideas for me people?

Ooh ..and the car was converted from rhd too.it was perfectly done to be noticed

well based on what you explained it either your ventilation setting are wrong or the convertion messed up the ventilation ducts

most car have a setting for ventilation/demist either allow air from outside to come into the cabin/car or not let it come in, most of the time if you set it not allow air from outside to come thats when the windows mist especially while raiing or too much humidity in the air

a 2011 car wont a simple key that you can have it cut and it starts the car, the immobiliser was bypassed or disabled

I drive a 2011 sonata. yes i bought the blank key off amazon and i had it copied / cut in ladipo and YES it started the car once. I am not a mechanic and don't know about immobilizer but the guy that cut the key told me the key will not need anyform of programming and it didn't. So yes are the one who is CLUELESS about this.

OP i still advise you to check out amazon. its about 10 dollars. the truth is that the key is not even in our market so the expert that will do it for you will still import it at a premium, so do the importing yourself if you can and get it cut.

all recent cars come from manufacturer with an immobilser, you might not have it on your becoz it might have been disabled which is a great risky to your car because it can be hot wired to start

i still stand by my statement based on a car that has never been modified in anyway, hence it might be the same sitaution with the guy who wants a second key

have you asked yourself why most people cant bother to have a second or third key cut ? it is because its not that cheap and simple program the immobiliser, you were lucky with your

Okay so I have a Nissan Maxima 2004 and recently it began to stop running while driving.

This has only happened to me while driving less the 25mph never in the freeway.

So Im driving and the car stops running immediately, so it won't accelerate or anything it just stops and the wheel turns really hard and the check engine lights up. But the car is still on like the radio is still playing so I have to put the car to park and turn off the car and turn it on again and it works.

The car is also exhibiting hard starting.

When it was scanned the following codes were pulled from it P1168, P0340, P0037, P0057, P0328, P1051.

The mechanic said it is the camshaft sensor. P0340. When the sensor was changed the car stops the issue. Then after sometimes it started again and it was discovered that another camshaft sensor code is on it again so the sensor has to be changed again.

Any ideas as to what it could be and why the camshaft sensor keeps comiing back

some models of nissan are hard to start once the timing chain is loose and the camshaft sensor pop up and the problem after putting a new one you would still find the same problem but for now i would say you find a good mechanic and proper investigation has to be done

To avoid being ripped off just buy it from Amazon or Ebay take it to Ladipo and have it cut. Does not need programming.

the half baked one, s/he needs to buy a blank key that wil be cut copying his key, if you say buy from amazon without explaining that the key as to be a blank and should have asked if his/her has immobiliser and central locking are in one module, some cars have car key and immobiler as one unit and central locking fob as stand alone

definately the key needs programming for it to be able to start the car

I experience similar issues with my Nissan car.I was able to detect my issues by borrowing my friends new and bigger car battery,when I used the battery the car starts one hand.funny enough my car battery was just 1week old,I had to buy another car battery and now such problem is history.
try that with your car,if it doesn't solve your problem go for car scan.

that was my thought why not start with battery

its common problem here in winter when the battery is in its last days, clients would be saying i never had any problems in summer and i would say its the weather, when its cold metal becames tight and some liquids became thick (oil) therefore the car to start it need more maximum power out from the battery for the engine to turn

I once suggested to the moderators yrs ago to refine this forum by actually getting all the professionals on this forum together by identifying each other's specialization(hardware,software,wannabe..),location,experience on display..that way it wld be easier to locate the professional nearest to u..eg if ur based in Abuja and onegig resides there,it's easy to meet him and I wld even feel more comfortable to describe the procedure to him..for hardware,I tink that's adetwin space so All hardware related issues can be directed to him..

Please help , I drove a 1997 Mitsubishi space wagon, manual transmission, today , I noticed the temperature guage going , over 75% , car tried to go off but moved it for like 30secs to the nearest filling station and popped the hood
I noticed oil leaks from middle part of engine dropping over the transmission to the ground ,
Little drops , smoke was coming from the hood because of d oil drop on the hot parts of the engine

Car had water in radiator , but I don't know if fan was running ,
Please what can cause this , is the engine damaged or just a blown gasket or what

75 is not overheating, i assume your car has no thermostat hence your temp is always reading low

Don't know why ABS and hand brake indicators on the dashboard refuse to disappear after releasing hand brake and when car is on motion. Any help will be appreciated.

handbrake start my check the switch its under the handbrake lever, you have to open the handbrake cover

as for ABS, get the car scanned with a scanner that does ABS

the battery should read 12volts when tested

Please, one of the four reverse parking sensors of my car is missing and the LED display reverse backup radar is just making noise and not working to display rear distance of objects when am on reverse. Please, is there a way I can fix or replace the missing sensor or I have to buy the complete four all over again? And please, how do I go about this and where? Am in Abuja.

most rear parking sensor are 4, with the new cars they seem to drop out of the position but they would be still hanging since they would be connected to the electrical wire, when you put into reverse even when its clear of anything it makes the sound due the one that dropped out of its position in such cases you just put the car on the lifter and look for the hanging sensor and put it back in position but you need to find out why it dropped

the fact that your is making noise is mean the sensor is there still hanging underneath the car

these is a trade secret, mechanics we always benefit both from the labour and parts

whenever we source parts we look for cheaper quotes and we charge clients a bit higher thereby making a profit on a part that you are not even paying for, the money is an extra to the labour

we always do that to clients that want to hassle on the labour they want to pay peanuts so you get them on parts

but as for guzz sometimes you need to play a fool in order to keep a clients or let the client do the advertising for you through good service to them

from my own judgement its either he was going to get a cheaper engine and pocket the difference or repair it at lesser cost but charge the client for the engine replacement

once in while in our workshop we take the client to auto parts supplier i do the talking and the client pays, it still get my labour

something you dont need to be told, economy mode doesnt drain much fuel as the sport mode, in sports mode the car responds better

sometime if it is a sort of grinding noise from the back it would be your differential gearbox and you need is to change the oil, buy original honda oil 3 litres to be safe.

you drain the old oil and fill up with the new one (1 litre or untill its full ) then take it for drive 10 to 15 minutes

then drain and repeat as in the 1st procedure

then drain top up and thats it

so basically you flush twice


this procedure is for the noise from the rear differential

My toyota corolla consumes fuel highly than even Benz 190. I thought toyota is more fuel economical than benz 190 that was why I went for it. to my greatest suprise it is even worst. I hve changed the fuel pump hoping it will improve, but it didn't. Pls what is ur advice. what do u think is the cause.

money is there in vendors/aka informal sector but no taxes being paid hence the government is getting little from the few running companies
