Crime › Re: 2 Homosexuals Paraded Unclad Publicly In Imo After They Were Caught Having Sex by zoedew: 9:15pm On Apr 26, 2018 |
grandstar: I laugh in Yoruba when I read such things.
In the West, gays fought for the rights they presently have. It was taboo in West as well.
Justin Fashanu, the first openly gay soccer player in the world committed suicide.
If you wanted to ruin your acting career in Hollywood 20 years ago, just come out openly that you were gay. Ellen Degeneres, a now popular talk show host saw her acting career totally destroyed when she came out as gay. Even till date, many gay people refuse to come out as gay for fear of being stigmatised.
The United States used to dismiss 12,000 service men and women yearly when they discovered they were gay.
This is what happens
As countries grow richer, acceptance of homosexuality becomes more wide spread. This lynching these boys faced, do you expect it to happen in Ikoyi? Do you expect Otedola to lead these people around town? Or is it in Ilupeju or Adeniyi Jones or Abiola Gardens you expect this to happen?
Also in richer lands, police will not fold their hands and allow such public humiliation to occur. Not possible.
Also, gays will use the courts to fight for their rights.
Eventually, most people will see that homosexuality is only a danger to those engaged in it. As long as it's not my buttocks, no wahala. Evil thrives and might gain acceptance when good stands idly by. |

That’s worse than bestiality - even the beasts of the wild are not degenerates! Think straight warped mind. Accept your mind needs a foundational reset and be restored to normalcy! They can proceed to UK and US and degenerate further!! |

deebsman1: Aregberascal did well in Osun so APC should have the day but Osun politics get as e get, it's one of the most advanced state politics in Nigeria.
Akande performed very well, they voted him out for oyinlola, oyinlola did same, they voted him out also for Aregbe....so performance is not a determinant for succession in osun You clearly do not have a wholistic understanding of Osun politics and its players. |

akeentech: Android handily beats the iPhone in light of the fact that it gives a lot more functionality, flexibility and freedom of choice. The more freedom to choose the more responsibility to ensure you are secured in your choice. With an iPhone the responsibility of ensuring that you are secure online is on the capable shoulders of Apple. Won’t trade that for supposed flexibility! |

Politics › Re: Harvard University Uses Nigeria As A Case Study Of A Failed African Country by zoedew: 8:29pm On Apr 21, 2018 |
Letenwam: Nigeria has yet again been 'disgraced' internationally, following an assignment Harvard University gave to its students in which Nigeria was used as a case study of a failed African country.
The question Harvard University gave its students reads;
Africa is growing. Seven of the the ten fastest growing economies in the world are in Africa, and the continent's largest economies are becoming less dependent on extractive commodities. The continent's rising middle class has demonstrated a taste for consumer goods and technological innovation, and Africa's population-currently more than a billion people- is booming and overwhelmingly young at a time when populations in other regions are shrinking and aging.
Nigeria, sub-saharan Africa's largest economy, epitomizes both the promise and the problems the continent faces in the 21st century. The contry had failed to thrive for its first thirty years as an independent nation, despite having a developmental head start relative to countries like China and India, as well as hundreds of billions of dollars in oil revenue.. Now, after pathbreaking reforms followed by signs of retrenchment, Nigeria's new President faced both vast opportunity and grave challenges. Would the country flourish or founder in this new era? We will analyze key reforms in Nigeria's economy, significant political developments, and the choices facing the country's fast-growing private sector.
Why did Nigeria fail to thrive between 1960 and 1999, particularly relative to China and India?
How would you characterize former President Obasanjo's legacy?
Are you bullish or bearish on the next fifteen years for Nigeria? What would make you change your mind? What opportunities do you see? What are the challenges (and risks)

It is increasingly getting more difficult not to believe that Buhari is not up to leading this country. How he keeps an IGP in office who has failed so abysmally at his job is beyond comprehension! The morale of a typical Nigerian Policeman is further dampened!! A policeman goes down in the line of duty and his colleagues are not there in a jiffy to have his remains handled decently when just less than a kilometer or so from that spot there is a police station! It is sad that his remains is left to be turned around like you toss pancake to reveal his identity as Ifeolu Akinola! Is that how his family ought to learn of his death? O Nigeria - what ails thee? Where is the police airwing? |

One hour and counting men of the Nigerian Police Force were nowhere in sight the other day at Offa having been neutralized by armed robbers and you expect the citizens to wholly trust the NPF to trust you! The Kwara CP was on Channels TV shamelessly saying that! C’mon that makes no sense! How come an helicopter from Police Airwing that could make it there in 45mins max not sent to Offa? Truth is NPF as presently constituted and run is as inefficient as it is ineffective in the provision of security for the citizenry! |

Here we talk about their abilities to ramp up and deliver on what they believed to be good for the country and their life pursuits. It is a different thing altogether whether you sync with them on those fronts. Anyway, you reserve to yourself the right to advance what you believe in and work to oppose moves (overt or covert) against. It’s a game of interest. |

Just imagine this idiot trying to force the whole Iwo town to be Muslims. Amazing to think that it does not occur to him that the typical Yoruba man who lives in the domain of an Emir in the North will not address an Emir in the North as Kabiesi. Poor sense of history and manifestation of illiteracy. Yoruba folklore is lost on him otherwise he’ll recall how tortoise had the mass of the elephant trapped in a deep pit just by singing his praise upon which he dance-stepped his way on to a spread of moccasin rug laid on the deep pit and concealing it! except where a cover-up is imminent. The details are explicit in the audio recording. They are verifiable through the records of the University that will show the taught course, the exam in question, the grades recorded, the marks scored by each student, who failed, who passed, the movements of the don on the day in question and the student. As to who’ll be the complainant that’s for the university to decide but it has a duty to protect the academic integrity of the institution even where the student refuses to show up.The incident discloses an offense against OAU and the Student who is herself an offender for attempted sexual gratification in return for grades. |
