If you claim the old testament is defunct and out of date, then stop quoting Abraham and other Jewish prophets. Jesus himself was a Jew and lived his life according to the Jewish traditions. Also tell Christendom to remove all books of the old testament from the bible if you still want to stand by your claims.

Now coming to the new testament, can you please explain why you have this verse there and also educate me on what your god is trying to say here?

The bible sanctioned slavery because slavery was accepted as a norm when the bible was written, but now the world is strongly against slavery because man have developed as a social being in order to make the world a better place.
Don't you think that the sanctioning of slavery by the bible is an evidence of the bible having no link to some supernatural being, but rather written on the opinion of men who lived in the middle east some 2000-5000 years ago?

I am an Atheist with respect to all the existing gods out there including Jesus. Yahweh and Allah. I am sure that every one of those gods are man made but since I cant disprove the possibility of the existence of a god, I am also an agnostic in that regard.

1. Your conversion story: I was born into religion. My whole family is deeply religious so I got it by default. It was installed in my brain from birth.

I was later an acclaimed born again Christian as expected of me by the society. I preached(disturbed) in public places including bus and I was very much involved in school fellowship in Secondary School up to JSS 3.

It would take me between 2-3 years battle with my parent for them to allow me live my life the way I want to. Religious people also refuse to pause for a second and think about the objectivity in all the brainwashing they've had from birth. An open mind will definitely help you to ask some reasonable question about your faith which will be the beginning of your path to freedom.

FXKing2012: Yes it's that same body you use to commit all forms of sins that decays becos the body is meant to function only here in the world. The Bible says your body does not belong to you and thus you must not do anything to tarnish it. So it is evil to do anything that damages your body such as tattooing, smoking, drinking too much, etc.

Imagine a married man that have to take care of rent, children school fees, feeding, clothing and also give his wife allowance. In the midst of all these immediate family responsibilities, other extended family members still expect him to dole out money to them like he doesn't have personal problems that he's thinking about.
The expectation from a successful African man is just too much and can cause alot of depression on a man. I used to compare myself with fellow white colleagues who earn thesame salary with me and can afford to go on travel and vacation round the world while i have to think of people to give money to every month. We have alot of problems in Africa and the consequence is people struggling to make money any how possible just to avert insult from the society.

This thread is almost dead. I used to be active here between 2009 and 2010 and it was a good period to communicate with fellow aspirants like myself.

Richiez: I don't think he'll ask you to use Gaussian elimination method since we aren't working with numbers here, there is no way you can multiply a row by a letter and subtract it from another row, it might be too ambiguous.

You can actually solve it in terms of a, b and c using Guassian elimination method. Its as straight forward as you'll do when you use number. To eliminate a2 from row 2 for example, multiply row 1 by a2 and multiply row 2 by a1 and subtract row 1 from row 2, to get a new row 2. In that way you can make element(2,1) of the matrix zero. Doing similar manipulation with other rows will help you successfully eliminate {(3,1) and (3,2)}

I disagree with you here. Few people will excel from personal effort but you need a sound system to move the whole population along. I studied in both Nigeria(BSc) and Europe(MSc) and I can tell you that the basic difference is much. In western countries, the system helps you to develop and perform well but in most African countries, you are on your own with almost no encouragement, motivation or inspiration.

You have to teach yourself mathematics and not wait for any body to come teach you. There are numerous text books you can buy and read starting from general mathematics SS1, then you move to SS2 and then SS3. If you read those books page by page and attempt all the examples and exercises at the end of each chapters, you will make an A1 in mathematics. I never had teachers for up to half my time in secondary school but I made A1 every time I wrote WAEC in mathematics years back because that is what I did(although all this happened about 15 to 18 years ago).
Then you can graduate to reading Further Mathematics text books starting from SS1, then move to SS2 then finally SS3. If you can do that, you will be fine with tackling almost all O' level problems and some A Level problems. But you need to do A level mathematics in the University to really be very good in mathematics. But no matter the level of mathematics you study, there are somethings you can't always remember like some of the rules of integration and Differential equations.

So plotting a graph of y^y against x for both equations will give you 2 curve with a point of intersection, x=2 and y^y=27
