Smartchoiice:Yeah. Less than 50lbs. It all adds up. Drag coefficient as well. |
Smartchoiice:That is a saloon and not an SUV or a minivan. These two weigh considerably more than your v6 e 320. Again, your e320 has a smaller displacement even though it is a V6. Those two factors are in favour of the V6 e320. Fuel economy can never be the same based on the two factors above. |
ojeysky:Okay. That's fair enough. That's actually above average. ![]() |
nurey:But it is terrible at off-road tasks. I love the car though. |
ojeysky:Was this highway driving or city driving? |
Used 4minutes gum, 2 inch pipe (short), clips, rubber band and scotch tape to fix a turbo hose. Hose burst on a weekend on a journey and a replacement won't be available till at least four days. Above items fixed the hose temporarily and lasted for more than a month before replacement was installed. Worked quite well. ![]() |
Thread title is just..... I'm disappointed with a whole lot of people who have commented. Some submissions have been downright anal. Shocking to say the least. Truly, some people have more money than sense. Toyota shareholders are not complaining, Mercedes shareholders aren't complaining either. Yet, bizarrely, none shareholders are here doing the square root of fvckall over nothing. OP, you have a problem oooooo. You need help. Don't allow this fixation go past February 2020. Peace. |
HeavenlyBang:He will wet his pants with jizz I suppose. This life sha |
conductor259:It really makes me sad to post on this stupid page but I have a sense of duty to educate people. Nice to know you have cleared them on this. Benz did not and has not achieved a lot of automotive firsts. They are way behind. A lot of manufacturers debuted what Mercedes later incorporated in their cars. They learn from others. If a Benz owner is just discovering the tiptronic function or the semi automatic nature of his automatic transmission, I begin to wonder what other features of his "loaded" Benz he is yet to discover. If the said owner needed a YouTube video to figure out how to use the tiptronic feature, then we have a problem. This life sha. |
GAZZUZZ:I kid you not. |
Eddee:Ah ah. Why you dey commot when we never complete for the play? Come back joor. Conductor259 was only teasing you. |

This one seriously cracked my ribs. You are wicked ![]() |
AmuDimpka:Quit buying cheap abused cars. They were that cheap for a reason. |
AmuDimpka:And I had the intelligence to accept I was wrong When I verified the facts. Can you lot do the same? The answer to that question holds the key to your freedom. |
AmuDimpka:If you took your time to Google like I advised, you would have seen that Benz and other non German cars including Honda's and Toyota's and fords and most especially Volvo's on that list. This Benz was in that list too. Make una try dey read small. Maybe just maybe you'd let go of this silly German superiority nonsense. Na so world war two take start. |
jaybabs1:This topic is not about driving feel but about engine longevity. Google cars that have covered 1 million miles on a single engine. The only German car there is a BMW. The Mercedes there needed three engine transplants. Modified. There are quite a few Mercedes on the list. But the japs are there as well and surprisingly, Volvo ruled the roost. Splendid. |
Fentanyl:You do realise the post says jap engines last over 250k miles while the Germans are just luxury cars that don't last that long. Shooting yourself in the foot there bro. |
blacklexus:I'm not talking about tire balancing. If you mean TPMS, then that also does not measure tyre balance. Sounds like that aren't measured by sensors and won't register on your dash. Let's know how this goes. |
Smartchoiice:Look who's talking. ![]() |
Swap tires. Front to back and back to front. You may have feathered tyres. Won't cost you anything to do as you try to sort this problem out. |
Same thing can be done with just about any number plate. How many number plates are we going to create in a decade? WTF is wrong with all these people? |
Glad it's over. |
Match made in heaven. Tit for tat. I swear, I enjoy this show. Fentanyl, abeg school am wella. ![]() |
ascendo:Do you really think Elizade is using the right fluids. I've written it here severally that some of these dealerships in Nigeria are killing off cars gradually. As soon as the 5 years or 100000km guarantee is up, those engines and transmissions start packing up. Of course the owners replace them. Yet cars are being imported into this country with over 300,000 miles on their first engines and transmissions. Please don't play that USA and Nigeria card. It's rubbish. Care to know how big that country is and the various weathers they have there? From the simmering heat of California, Texas and Co to the freezing regions? They got it all and the 0w-20 works in all those weather extremes. Stick to what the manufacturer recommends. It's that simple. Dru23 is actually in USA. Guess you are new to this section. |
An eye opener. |
That's a nice 'rallyable' that was trashed. [/qusote] Yeah. Too bad I had to use it to pass a message. |
Use what was recommended. Nothing more, nothing less. The recommended is readily available. That differential does not come cheap. The oil is bloody cheap. |
Never gets old. ![]() |
Wealthoptulent: . All cars with fans connected direct will announce their arrival with howling fans. But some are quite loud and I give it to VW, BMW, Nissan and Mercedes on this. They come in sounding like jet fighters about to take off. ![]() |
B nams77:I like Volvo's. The new ones though (03 and up models). They had nice designs. Would buy one if circumstances permit. I have never been inside a Tiida or versa or known anyone who owned or used one. However, lots of companies and some individuals bought it and I still see them around. The body holds up better than the Honda city that was their competition. It's a Nissan. So it will have Nissan problems. However this can also be compounded by 'our maintenance' culture. Where dealerships service vehicles with wrong engine oil spec and ATF spec. It is shocking what I have seen in some places. Most of these tiidas/versas were serviced at dealerships as they were bought brand new. So it all depends on a lot of factors. |
nams77:The Avalon is a Toyota and not soulless. You get what you pay for. If you want luxury, get the Lexus. Even with all the gizmos added to the Toyota crown of the 70's and current Avalon's, they were still freaking reliable. Not all Volvo's had the unreliable tag. The 80's and 90's Volvo's were built like tanks. Hardly ever broke down. Had few in the family back then. Super reliable. Coincidentally, those European cars had efi engines when the average Nigerian mechanic only knew how to work on a carburetor. Add the fact that we were still using leaded fuel on these. I guess that's where some of the unreliable tag came from. The base Mercedes cars of then (e200, e230) were absolutely reliable. In fact so reliable they were around 30 years after they landed our shores. Some are still running presently. The few cars (European) who ingested our leaded fuel died off and by the time Nigeria embraced unleaded fuel, the problems went away. However, the damage to their reputation had already been done. Additionally, it was much more cheaper to buy smaller cars from America. This opened the opportunity for even average income and low income earners to buy and own cars. These low income earners of course opted for small Japanese cars. Most mechanics switched to them, learnt how to fix them, grew with them and mastered them. Europeans cars became fewer by the day. If you were a mechanic that specialised on European cars, no be person go tell you to port after hunger Don hammer you small. So the jap or Toyota crowd grew and it is what it is today. The European cars seem complex because fewer people want to invest the time required to study them and master them. The market is not there. Even the Nissan is having a similar despite being a Japanese car because there too few Nissan's around and no one wants to waste his time on unproductive ventures. If I open a mechanic workshop today, I trust that my first five customers will come in with a Honda or Toyota. Cool first car though. Liked the 190 when I was growing up but my dream car then was the Peugeot 505 turbo evolution. Damn! that car was pretty and fast. Will never forget the trips in that car. |
