There's no hope for this country, even without the wickedness of the government, the people are a bunch of clowns and are naturally vindictive/corrupt....No sane society can operate successfully with such a confused set of people! Even with the abundant proof of abuse/neglect by the governemnt/politicians, una still prefer to fight among one another like rabid dogs.....Tueh!

The worst kind of human being is the one who knows the truth but would rather side with a lie.... These kind of people are worse than the devil... They are the major reasons why Nigeria will not have peace, because the lie lines their pockets so they forget their brains... Funny part is when you call them out for lying they become uncouth and behave like wild animals...

Lai the liar!!!
Throw one fat government/political position your way where you are earning billions and suddenly you too can be called the worst kind of human grin grin grin It's the Nigerian DNA, 90% of us shouting online would do worse than these people....FACTS!
SportsRe: Premier League Clubs Vote To Block Sponsorship Deals Linked To Owners by abbey621(m): 2:35pm On Oct 19, 2021
AbdulHakeem44:
This is not making sense to an extent as far as I can comprehend this. For instance, if Abrahmovich, the owner of Chelsea fc has another business in Europe or any other place in the world. He cannot use his club to rubber stamp sponsorship for his business as a form of free advert to the Europeans, haba!!!.

I guess many people think this is a move to not make the just-purchased Newcastle united a big club, NO!!! I don't think that is what they voted against. It is to vote that clubs should not accept sponsorship deals linked to any of the co-owner or owner of the club. Meaning sponsorship deals should go to any club and not the club the owners have stake in. A move to make big sponsorship deals available to small clubs, that is the way I look at it and if that is the case, I don't buy the idea.

If anyone who reads and digested the information and has contrary comprehension can quote me pls, we are all learning...
That's exactly what it is, Etihad Airways cannot sponsor Man City, basically they don't want unlimited funds through sponsorships as a way to divert financial fair play, it looks good on paper but legally they might be in for a rude awakening.

In the end, there's no need to be sad or remorseful at burials especially that of peopel over 60, for children did you take care of your parent while alive? Did you do your possible best? If yes then all you can do is accept fate and move on. Those crying, fainting are just doing that for their own pocket, the dead is dead they've already moved on to the next chapter, only thing crying and fainting will do is give you high blood pressure and headache.

Tonto compromised herself by getting involved with this idiot, Kpokpo compromised himself by getting involved with a mad woman like Tonto, madam twerker compromsied herself well.......by being madam twerker. Her husband has now compromised himself by marrying her, if he comes out to deny it, they'll call him a simp, if he confirms it and sends her packing, they'll call him heartless. Finally, I've compromised myself by texting while eating, my cloth don stain now....bye bye grin grin

Lesson 1: Never ever plug your charger directly into an outlet, it offers the least protection.
Lesson 2: Always use voltage regulators/power strip protection/stabilizers
Lesson 3: Pay a qualified electrician to properly wire your home, don't risk your life for savings of less than 10k.

Exactly, these people will use public information linked to you, you must have either joined a whatsapp group or someone you know gave them your number. In whatsapp groups all numbers are visible so they could have been monitoring you for weeks or months.

It's not their fault, someone you know used your information when collecting a loan. You should take the issue up with the person that collected the loan including possibly having them arrested, God forbid they might use your information for something much worse. Loan companies are just trying to recover their own money and unfortunately Nigeria does not have a "do not call list".

I have no business with fintech, I am talking about loans in general. If you signed for a loan, you are usually vetted or verified using certain information including point of contacts/references. They use this in case they can't reach you later on, it is standard so I don't understand how you can claim it is illegal or inappopriate!

I didn’t say they shouldn’t pay their loans. It’s irresponsible not to pay ur loans. I’m just saying give them better payment plans or Smtn than chasing them or embarrassing them.

Many of these people are bigger than the loans they are chasing them about for. They can do better.

Even amcon hasn’t arrested anyone for not repaying billions oo. undecided

What did these loans coy do for their many customers during the pandemic or post pandemic?
This type of mentality is why we are f*cked as a nation! Are all loan companies as big as Amcon? Some of these loan companies are not even worth 50 million Naira. The fact remains that they did not force anyone to collect loan, as a grown adult you are responsible for every contract/agreement that you signed, it is only in Nigeria that someone will borrow money and still blame the loan company for his or her own failure to pay.

They need to calm down and rather work on better time frames for their loans. Many people want to pay bt aren’t finding it easy.

The economy is so toxic for many it takes help from friends to keep them sane and sound. Let these loan coy have some human consideration.
That's no excuse, if you sign a loan contract and you default, they have every right to pursue you even to hell and back. I'm surrpirsed they have not started arresting people, a competent lawyer can tie it down to fraud as most Nigerians never truly had any intention of paying it back.

And defaulters should not be shamed. Other means of retrieving the money should be resorted to and not by defaming the person. I know of someone who lost his job because of the embarrassing messages sent to their contacts and on this reason was sacked by his boss at work.
If you fail to pay your debts, they can use any and all legal means to recover the debts including calling family members and friends. It is not a crime and Nigerian law does not give protection against such things. Even in the USA, they will call and expose you including damaging your credit profile leaving you unable to get a loan in the future from anywhere.

When asked such an abstract question, always think about the role you're applying for. It's all about gaining insight into your thinking pattern or beliefs. Think about it, if you believe the purpose in life is to reproduce and enjoy, they might see you suited for a marketing role, if you answered that life is about making the most of the talents we are blessed with, they might see you as a go-getter and really suitable for the sales position. It's all about mind games grin grin grin

I'm surprised it is not 1,000 Naira to 1 Dollar. Country produces nothing, imports almost everything and keeps borrowing money just to survive and service existing debts.....CRAZY! A country that cannot build a functioning refinery in over 6 years, anyone that still hopes this country can be redeemed is just plain delusional......I'm afraid the worst is yet to come, judging by the lack of credible candidates for 2023, Nigerians are in for more shockers!

Country owes 10,000, you came in and made it 100,000. I don’t think you understand what cumulative effect is.
Would the country owe 100,000 without the initial 10,000 and high interest rate? Would it owe 100,000 if the 10,000 was used to make profit and service the debt rather than wasted? All it takes is one administartion to fix the refineries, focus on exports more than imports and take security seriously, all it takes are these little adjustments to set us back on the right course, don't play the sentimental bullshit card with me, if you don't know what to type keep your damn mouth shut!

Why didn’t Jonathan also borrow nonchalantly?
Why is everything so difficult under him?
You can’t defend failure abeg, we know your type.
You know my type? You obviously have a problem with comprehension and your attack first sentimental attitude rather than civil discourse means you're just wasting my time. Go back and read what I wrote, Nigeria did not spoil in one year or under one administration, it is a culmulative effect, if Jonathan performed well, we wouldn't have Buhari, if Obasanjo did the right things, Jonathan wouldn't have had the chance to become so corrupt and Buhari would have never become common LG chairman not to tlak of president. I will not repeat myself again, feel free to argue with your phone....PEACE!

Oh I did not forget, how taxes are applied is key, there will be a child tax, yes, for every child you have you will be taxed, that should take care of the overpopulation issue.
A fuel tax is also in order, to get those pesky motorists off the road and into busses.

Poorly, there’s nothing preventing a millionaire from saying he earns N100,000 a year and paying 5%. But only if he operate an unregistered business. Registered businesses typically have corporate accounts from which tax can be automatically deducted. But outside of that there’s no one to control whether you pay taxes or not, but that will change.

Part of what the BVN is meant to address is illegal activity, ideally anyone earning money on a regular basis has to have a registered business or formal employment, transacting business without registering is illegal. Once all measures are in place it will be possible to audit a person’s bank account(s) and associated information to effectively decide how much they owe. Soft measures like freezing a suspected account can then be used.

And even if someone dashes you money, guess what? You still owe taxes.
Beautifully stated......Bar man give my person 2 bottles grin grin

All The loans Jonathan plus obasanjo took is not up to what Buhari took under 6 years

We didn’t become world capital of poverty during those administration, we did under Buhari. How many recessions did all of them have? How many Buhari get so far? Inflation has never been this bad. Debt/loan all time high. Corruption all time high…..Insecurity has never been this bad. More than half of the population are living under poverty everything under Buhari, only a slave will compare this with other administration
Do you understand the meaning of culmulative effect? Country owes 10,000 Naira, government borrowed additional 10,000 at 20% interest per annum, it continues to borrow at rising interest rates each year with each president, just because the current administration borrowed at the highest interest rate or owes the highest debt does not mean the disaster started with it. The effect is a combination of past and present failures, I'm not sure you understand simple economic comncepts but I have tried my best to explain it to you in simple terms, remove the sentiments and be objective, all of dem are responsible for the current calamity!

How were the other administration able to pull it off? Buhari is not the first president, why is everything so hard under him.. did other administration also collect VAT this high and other subtle tax?
What exactly did they pull off? When we compare Obasanjo's administration to Jonathan's we can see the failure and suffering. Same way we compare Jonathan's to Buhari's. Borrowing has been increasing so has suffering, it is a culmulative effect of bad leadership.

Value added tax which is not the same as income tax.

Before the COVID which was last year, he already borrowed more than the other pasts government. Only Buhari, 2 recessions under 5 years. And what about the VAT and other tax he already put it in place? Not enough?

How did the other administration manage the “income tax” then?
Yes, like I said desperate times calls for desperate measures. We produce nothing, there is nothing to back our currency, our economy. The oil we focused on is no longer as lucrative as before. Majority of Nigerians still do not pay income tax so what should he have done? A sane country would fix the refineries, mandate local production etc but the zoo does what the zoo does so let's not be surprised that we are in this mess. This is not a failure of Buhari alone, it is failures upon failures that has existed since 1999.

We do have a marginal tax rate, it starts at 5% for anyone earning under N300,000 a year. And tops out at 24% for anyone earning over N3,000,000.
How is it enforced? How are the self employed taxed? The marketwomen, the online influencers etc? Let's face it majority of Nigerians don't pay income tax!

The loans they all collected is not up to what Buhari collected in under 6 years. And they didn’t tax much How come? And we are still borrowing? And taxing so much?

How much is Buhari administration using to service debt? Is that the plan they have to pay back?
Of course, none of them were faced with Covid 19, global stagnation and complete and total chaos. Yes Buhari deserves to be blamed but let's be objective as well, WE NO DEY PRODUCE ANYTHING, even the oil wey we dey do gra gra on, we are no longer a major player in the market. So if we no borrow, wetin go happen? Majority of Nigerians don't pay income tax because majority are either unemployed or self employed, so if we can't generate adequate income through taxation, how we no go borrow?
