There are sane people in sane countries. I know you know what I'm saying but as a typical Nigerian, every argument is about winning and you want to win.
The mere fact that you can defend Osibanjo shows you are not among the sane people.....Get well soon!

A negative mind would always be cheated. You think you being careful. Who else can you boast is better than him that stands a chance right now? This man has always been down to earth. He's a VP and not a president. Don't blame this failed admin on him. The man tried when he was given the power to but they quickly shut him out Else he will kick them outta business. Judge him as a president and not a vice. Look all over the world, a vice is just a messenger. They got no voice

I'm trying hard not to digress here. I think you've been running away from reality for too long. I clearly told you that before here..

You see those + in between those two numbers in each row? Separates the goals from assists.
The larger numbers on each row is the team total goals. The percentage is on each side. You can add up and see if the average don't tally with 24%

Now, forget about this L talk and get serious.

What did you intend with the Atletico numbers? As it clearly shows Griezmann taking responsibility for his team's goals. Something Drogba struggled to do half as good as he did.
Wuruwuru to the answer, even when caught you still cannot admit defeat, it's pointless going back and forth. I'm done with you....PEACE!

Don't deflect. You suggested Atletico. Please make the point you were trying to. Griezmann made 40% of his team's goals. Please use it to, justify that of star man, Drogba and his mighty chest for 24% of his team's goals. Brief reminder is that Salah is at 43% of his team goals currently.
How can anyone take you seriously when you keep clowning yourself? The 24% for Drogba you used PL goals only but for Griezmann you used what exactly? Certainly not La Liga goals hence you've skewed your own data, whole point of using Athletico was to show you how a defensive minded coach affects strikers goal totals but you had to expose your own flaws so desperate for validation that you supplied faulty data.....My goodness are you just being silly or are you just a terrible statistician?......This is beyond funny at this point grin grin grin

DesChyko:
Since you asked me to go check, I have.
Let's look at the goals contribution of Griezmann then, who played about 5 seasons under Someone. The other options(with fewer seasons) are Costa, Falcao and Suarez if you prefer.

2018/19: Antoine Griezmann (23) - 41%
2017/18: Antoine Griezmann (28) - 49%
2016/17: Antoine Griezmann (23) - 33%
2015/16: Antoine Griezmann (27) - 43%
2014/15: Antoine Griezmann (23) - 35%

Yielding an average of 40% of his team's goals in his stint as Atletico's forward.

Now, Chelsea definitely have way more goals and with Drogba's at 24%, you can now make your point. grin

9 - 3 = 4.
8 - 3 = 5.
9/2 = 4.5
8/2 = 4

Salah on the other hand is about completing his 5th full season for Liverpool. Yet he won't match Drogba's appearance come season end.
But are you indirectly implying that Drogba isn't a regular for his PL winning side? grin
In your attempt to do gra gra and prove me wrong, you ended up using wrong data again, go back and look at griezmann's goals at Athletico for La Liga only, you'll find that you've embarrassed yourself again grin grin grin

I'm not even going to try to take this seriously anymore, it is beneath me. By now you should realize statistics is not your calling, try jester/clown grin grin grin

FamilyRe: Fantasising In My Marriage. by abbey621(m): 7:46pm On Nov 02, 2021
Whenever topics like this are put forth, I think of one thing, UNA NO DATE BEFORE MARRIAGE? WHAT CHANGED? Surely there must have been enough testing testing to know if the couple is compatible sexually. Your 10 seconds of sex is an exaggeration because that is not even enough to satisfy a woman not to talk of a man. The ball is still in your court, either you start helping him by getting correct herbal treatment for him/viagra or you learn new styles that does not put pressure on him to release quickly (E.g. If he stands instead of laying flat, he is likely to last longer, if he ejaculates before having sex, he is also likely to last longer(2nd round syndrome) after gaining back his energy).

Finally, in this life nobody should be forced to endure an unhappy marriage, if the issue is too much that you're contemplating cheating, please please LEAVE THAT MAN AND GET A DIVORCE! Broken marriage is better than broken face or death by domestic violence!

Lol.. You're quite lazy though.
I gave you research never done before; stating objectively why Salah is probably the better individual the PL recognizes, and corroborated by PL itself and you're countering with
1. comeback goals (without any definite count)
2. Drogba's chest (conveniently ignoring that every basic attack originates from the first kick)
3. Rooney Vs Henry (ignoring longevity and main role played) (You forget even Lampard is ahead of Henry)
4. Defoe Vs Owen ignoring longevity

Come to think of it, Drogba is a forward who spent nine 38-game seasons in PL but never managed to score more that 12 goals in seven of them. That's why it's so easy to breeze past him undecided

Use the time you use to code in insults to actually create at least, one solid point devoid of whines. Look at all we have exchanged so far; your submissions are amoeboid at best. So tainted with emotions. You're probably a Chelsea fan undecided. That's only what can account for this wisps of defence you're putting up.

Anyways, this discussion will be fossilized come season end. I'm sure of it.
Didn't you just write in your previous post for us to ignore mentality of the coach and other factors, now you're adding other factors to defend why your stats are skewed and bias?

Come to think of it, Drogba is a forward who spent nine 38-game seasons in PL but never managed to score more that 12 goals in seven of them. That's why it's so easy to breeze past him undecided
Laughable......Another example of using quack stat to defend your position, scoring 12 goals in a team where it is defend first mentality is an achievement in itself. Go and check out Athletico Madrid and the mentality of the coach. Furthermore does your 9 years(8 actually) include the two to three years spent as playing mainly as a sub, does it also consider that half of those years he played less than 28 games in the PL? You see now why it is easy for people to laugh at your so called research?

You try to compose yourself as educated yet you keep exposing yourself, you just made the argument for why we shouldn't consider anything but goals yet bash Drogba for not being able to score as much as someone playing 36-38 games in a season. How do you qualitatively analyze things if you decide to leave all the factors that could skew your data/stats? Your papa's farmland might grow plenty of yams in a year and you use it to compare someone's land that does not yield yam but corn, how is this objective? I could go on and on exposing your flawed thinking but you get the gist, save your analysis for those that don't analyze data for a living grin
SportsRe: Salah Or Drogba? Which African Forward In The Premier League Would You Choose by abbey621(m): 10:14pm On Nov 01, 2021
DesChyko:
I get your drift. Drogba's fourth league title came at a time when he was more or less a passenger in the team, but let's not deny him that right. But it goes to show you can't just use team achievements to certify a player and condemn another. That is why Harry Kane is of a higher value than any title-hoarding forward in the PL. Their contribution to their team exploits matter more.

I for one, appreciate team effort though in bringing home titles, granted that there are standout performers in each and every game.

Now, I will remind you that you actually put Alan Shearer as a great (ahead of Drogba). You may want to look up how many title he has.

[s]Drogba's PL goals form 24% of his club's PL goals as a forward while Salah's PL goals form 43% of his club's PL goals as a forward.

In addition, Drogba won the PL top scorer twice in this role, and this has been equalled by Salah. Drogba's two time appearance in PL TOTY has also been equalled by Salah. So when it comes to dominance of both players in their positions in the Premier League, it appears even, despite the difference in their games.

However, Drogba was never named as PL Player of the Month or Player of the Year but Salah has emerged PL Player of the Month thrice and also been named PL Player of The Year. This shows disparity in how their performances standout amongst all players in a given season. Salah clearly holds the aces there.[/s]

So there you have it. It may be all numbers to you. But it is devoid of bias and colour. If you put in Coach's playing style, you may also want to add, player's fitness, home/away and any other factor that can limit player's performance so it's better we just stick to what the player actually offered undecided
Just when I thought you started making sense you went about ranting aimlessly again.....WHY? Your stats makes no damn sense since not all goals are equal, a comeback goal to clinch the title will always be worth more than goals against derby when leading 4-0. You said Drogba's goal contribution is 24%, again this is an example of stats without context.

Did you watch Chelsea 2004-2008? Majority of the attack flows through Drogba, his chest alone was worth more than majority of strikers back then. I'm not going to argue further, don't know your age but you need to go and watch some of those matches. Your entire premise is flawed, Rooney has over 200 goals in the PL while Henry has less than 180 by your definition of using just stats, Rooney was the better forward, same can be said of Defoe over Owen. You want us to leave other factors out and focus just plainly on goals scored but that is just not the way ratings work, even the most die hard United fan would not put Rooney above Henry.

Hopefully you can finally see that stats can be misleading but in case you still don't get it and want to continue arguing baselessly.....don't bother replying, argue with your phone instead.....PEACE!

Need I remind you that the basis of this is Premier League?? All these other cups you're shipping in were never in the discussion. For one who prides so much in flaunting the word 'adult' around, you seem not to be able to focus effectively. That's hardly an adult thing but let's not digress.

This is, from the beginning about their PL exploits. Drogba won 4 titles with Chelsea, fair play to him. Salah has managed one with Liverpool, fair play to him too. Difference is, Abramovic made all of that happen in just a year of buying the club. Liverpool were actually gargantuan but couldn't in all their PL history until Salah and co. made it happen.

But let's get down to the specifics. How did their goals as forwards matter to their teams, with or without the titles?
Tuche! Let's keep it to PL, here you go again with semantics! What do you mean with or without titles? Greatness is known by winning things, since when did losers get praised above winners? Furthermore I did not argue with you about Salah being great for Liverpool or being great period! My argument is simple, you place him above someone with 4 league titles based on what? Goals scored? Should we ignore coach's mindset(Mourinho parker of buses), team quality etc? Remember I am not arguing with you based on anything other than the simple fact, "stats alone is not an adequate measurement of impact for a forward"! For Salah to be better than Drogba in terms of impact, surely he needs to win at least one more league title, afterall a Messi or CR7 with only one league title would not even be considered SHEEP not to talk of GOATS grin grin grin

Yet another post without any unique reference to the subject at hand. Who's clowning now?
Oh, and by mentioning Gerrard, I meant he's probably the next person he might overtake this season should this form continue. A simple reference to the all-time scoring charts that brought about this comparison in the first place.
Sorry you misread that.
Yea you should have phrased that better! Stats stats stats.....That's all you seem to care about, it's boring! Even Peter Crouch and Heskey have more goals than Drogba yet they don't measure up to him at all......When you're ready to discuss more than stats then we can have a meaningful conversation, for now you can continue deluding yourself!

Lukaku, Robbie Keane, Hasselbaink all have higher goal totals but all fall short of Drogba when we talk about impact or history, you're right tho if Salah can continue this form for couple more years and win more league titles perhaps he'll be mentioned in the same breath as Shearer, Drogba and even Andy Cole but for now one league title and CL is not enough to overtake Drogba. Once again look beyond the stats, there's no way you can ignore 4 league titles, one CL title and numerous FA cups(Arsenal destroyer) in which Drogba had unrivaled impact in 90% of them including finals and say Salah is better because he has a higher goal total despite lesser achievements.....WHO DOES THAT?

This is a discussion for adults and you've got to use more than stats to defend your position, I've already shown you why stats are for amateurs using Ronaldo De Lima as an example, please stop going back to the same stats to prove your point.....It's getting redundant!

2. I never justified violence but have again and again pointed out that this has more to do with the child believing that violence is a possible way out for one reason or the other. That belief, if rooted in his upbringing, more than justified his attack in most cases. In a case where it is not part of his upbringing, then we can rule a case of a problem child or unruly individual. undecided
I'm glad you can read your previous comments and see for yourself where you said the child was angered or felt he had no choice. Again, this isn't about whether you present yourself as a weak father or being at the other extreme, a bully of a father. This is about a child resorting to violence when he is angered and this because he believes it is the right solution or has been angered to the point where it appears his only choice. undecided

Teach your children that violence is never the right answer and be an example of this to them. Should the child resort to violence then you know it is no fault of yours and you can get the authorities to handle it from that point. undecided
Teach your children that violence is never the right answer and be an example of this to them. Should the child resort to violence then you know it is no fault of yours and you can get the authorities to handle it from that point
Sorry you're confusing yourself, what of a child that is hooked on drugs? What of one battling spiritual demons? What of one that feels entitled? You said it is not about weakness or being a bully but you indirectly justify the violence by saying the child was angered or that it was his only choice. You're just proving my point, a weak father will not bring up his child properly, would not have taught him or her how to respect elders, how to take responsibility for one's actions etc., a weak father would rather spoil the child than to get on his or her bad side.

Weakness and irresponsibility are birds of a feather, you don't have to wait till a child gets physically violent before knowing you have a problem, a well disciplined child would rather go rogue and avoid you than to have the balls to beat you even if the or she had the power. Take it or leave it, it still revolves around the father being WEAK!

.... that statement in bold also applies to kids raised by fathers who are bullies. They too can turn around to beat on their bully of a father. undecided

Again, this isn't about weakness on the father's part and all that you attempt to weave in there, but instead of about a child convinced that violence is his way of resolving the particular situation. And this is a big reason to stand against violence in all forms. undecided
What do you mean by bully of a father? A father shelters you, clothes and feeds you but because he is harsh, shouts at you or flogs you when you have erred, he is a bully? Even if it qualifies him to be a bully, you mean that is enough for a child to raise his or her hand against him? I don't know what you're smoking but WAKE UP! For 9ja? I laugh in Swahili grin grin

Furthermore you keep saying this is not about a father's weakness but tell me what sort of a father gets beaten up by his own child? Either the father is weak physically or he is emotionally inept, perhaps he has lost all form of respect or he is completely soft! Ki oju ma ribi(Make my eyes no see evil), craze pass craze kobojunkie, violence or no violence, it takes a special level of f*ckery for a child to do such a thing.

That's rubbish! From the post we can't tell whether it was a result of maltreatment or not. Even kids that are given the best lifestyle can become violent when spoiled beyond comprehension. I won't argue with you but to give you perspective, the mighty Henry in all his glory only had a 30 goal plus season ONCE! Suarez had it once too but Salah is on track to do it twice. Now since you believe stats are everything and we should not mention team achievement/glory, it is only inevitable that your reasoning leads you to believe that Salah is greater then Henry, Drogba and even Van Persie since the later could only acdhieve this feat once......Comedy!

Salah will be an EPL legend no doubt. If he keeps up this form throughout this season and Liverpool wins either the EPL or champions League, then he will be the outright choice for the ballon d'Or.
There's a reason they call Drogba Mr. FA CUP, just ask Arsenal's fans, furthermore when the chips are down, the man either scores or makes play in finals, guess team success also plays a major role in the conversation. Salah would need at least 2-3 seasons more of top performances to be mentioned in the same breath as Drogba or Shearer when it comes to forwards but as a winger, he is simply the best next to Messi.
