EducationRe: Senate Passes Bill Abolishing HND/BSc Dichotomy by adanny01(m): 2:46pm On Jun 02, 2021
Afriqan:
Better... At least that would stop HND holders from being cheated when they do the same or even more work than their BSc. counterparts without getting recognised or promoted!
In my humble opinion, the national assembly should not have passed anything with regards the issue because no matter how they try, HND is not equivalent to Bachelors. The curriculum is not the same and the employment industries is also not the same if employment opportunities are readily available.

COREN will still not admit HND holders to Engineers register until they add a PGD. A Bachelors degree gets you on the Engineers register, HND gets you on the Technologist Register, OND gets you to the Technician register, and NABTEB, WASSC etc gets you on the craftsman register.

That's a system that the National assembly should not be interfering with. It is the responsibility of the ministry of education.

If both Bachelors and HND gets you to the Engineers register who then becomes a technologist.

Meanwhile, HND by training is designed to be employed as a technologist while the Bachelors is trained as an engineer. The best thing if they really wish to end the dichotomy is to abolish the HND and by implication the OND too. That is another complication arising.

Another ignoramus on tribal and hate steroid.

Total Blockage doesn't mean embargo on food coming from Nigeria.

If Northern Nigeria stop bringing agricultural produce to Lagos State, They can always import from Benin Republic, Ghana etc, but with total blockage of the border, it becomes impossible.
When Ojukwu led the Igbos to war, didn't he or his followers know that Igbo land is landlocked or that the sea that borders the south south is Nigerian waters where the Nigerian government rules over?

When Germans were sending their youth to WWII, they knew that they were sending their future generations to get killed and they improvised with a breeding plan. They had pure young German men and women producing pure German babies and taking care of them.

Igbo went to war without thinking of food supply. Today, Igbo's want war but forgetting Millions of their brothers in Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Kaduna that have invested everything they have and could never have a life back home. These same brothers that will never go home are rooting for their brothers at home to go to war.

These are the same Igbos expecting to rule Nigeria but cannot form an alliance with either the Hausa or Yoruba! Politics 101: its a game of numbers, capisce!

I have a lot of respect for Igbo businesses and industry captains all over the world but when I think of what Igbos are doing to themselves politically, IT IS SUICIDE. Igbos need more brains on this.

I have my ticket already. Flight slated for next week. I decided to check out the domestic airport today and see things ahead of time but everything was so confusing . I tried asking one man i met at the departure entrance and he just dey squeez face like person wey never chop. I went back home empty handed. Everything is just confusing. Entering ezenwata , God is good or chisco no get wahala reach this .

I'll be travelling to Kano, when I enter the departure door, where should I go, what should I do. Abeg help my life, I'm just confused. Just describe the whole process for me. Also when I get to my destination what next.

Also in my ticket, I can see cabin book class YW. What does it mean.

pls help.
The best thing is to arrive the airport 2hrs ahead of flight time.

Once you enter the local departure you should see check-in or ask for directions from airport staff. Every airline has a check-in desk so get to your airline's desk and present your ticket. Ask the desk officer the next place but usually you should be heading to the security scanner. Make sure you don't leave money, liquids, sharp tools and lighter/matches in your carry on bag. They will direct you or wait and observe what others do.

Watch out for that moment that your carry on bag and container where your personal items are put into the scanner. The trick is that you have to watch your things every second, else, something could get lost here like magic. Mostly the target is cash since your name is not on it incase alarm blows.

After there na to sit and wait for the announcer to call the name of you airline destination.

Nacoss25:
Good morning everyone. I am a young man newly married to a 22 yr old lady. our marriage is just 2 months old.

Before I met my wife in 2019, she has this male best friend who they have been best friends even before I met her though my wife is a social and jovial person always cheerful, she easily makes friends wherever she finds herself that's her nature and kind of personality.

Right now her friendship with that her male friend is what am becoming uncomfortable with right now because of the so much attention she is lavishing on him. I have complained to her that I am not comfortable with her closeness with the guy but she is seeing it that am trying to cut her off from her friends.

One interesting part of the whole thing is, since we got married the guy has been trying to distance himself from her a bit knowing too well that she is now married but my wife is even the one doing all she could to keep the friendship going the way it has been going. 2 days ago I and my wife were together she called the guy complaining bitterly how he has been distancing himself from her.

My people what do you think I should do to cut down that connection or will the friendship grow week by the day on it's own? My wife is refusing to understand that in marriage there are things u will have to let go.
Give am belle ahead ahead, 2 children in 3 years. She no go get any time for any male friend nonsense.

I would like to hear from experienced couples here. 19th of this month made it two months since I've been married, yet my wife has not conceived. I'm getting a bit worried. We have intercourse all through her ovulation, though we plan on seeing the doctor this week.

Could you render advice as well as share your experience here? How long did it take you or your wife to conceive after marriage?
My wife and I agreed to not conceive in the first 6months of our marriage. However, 1 day after wedding, na condom I go use? Nah! I poured it inside. Na so e con dey happen for a month straight. We just assumed that the six months was not going to happen and we expected her to be pregnant that month but nothing. 3 months later, her blood pressure dey rise due to fear. FamilyRe: My Husband Slapped Me For Asking Him To Wash Plates by adanny01(m): 4:43pm On May 21, 2021
BonPatrick:
A mother of two who pleaded anonymity has taken to social media to ask members of the public whether it was wrong to ask her husband to do the dishes.
According to her, her husband lost his business to scam and she has been the one catering for the family with the little she earns from her restaurant business.
She said: “Truly, My husband was the one who opened the restaurant for me, I cook very well and I still do my cooking by myself as I only direct my staffs on what to do.My husband lost his business to scam and since then it’s been me carrying the responsibilities, most of my staffs left because I could not pay them and at some point, all of them left and I had to do everything by myself.

“My husband is doing nothing yet, he just sits at home and maybe go pick the kids from school and all, so yesterday I had lots of customers in the shop, I was doing everything by myself, so as soon as my husband walked in, I asked him to help me rush to wash a few plates while I serve, and he looked at me in some strange way, I repeated myself and he slapped me in public, and walked out.

“I ignored the embarrassment and even most of my customers left, when I got home I noticed that he moved his things, I called his phone and he said he is in his friends place till he gets a job he will come home, that I should take care of the kids.

“He cut the call I tried to call and the next he blocked me.

“What did I do wrong, who is supposed to be upset? I just need to clear my conscience.”
If that woman waits for someone to tell her what she did wrong, I would advise the husband not to come home even after he finds a job.

Guys, I am typing from the phone. I was able to wipe it using the recovery mode. I then used WiFi to log in to my Google account. Entering the recovery mode was a hassle.

I just wonder why they will not provide the Google option when you don't have the right password only to allow you after you have wiped the phone.

See as I dey enjoy typing, my Xiaomi screen had serious ghost touches that tormented my life and the Chinese AliExpress seem to have sent me a bad screen purposely. By the way, Samsung was my first choice, Xiaomi was.

Got a new Samsung phone today, I logged only my Gmail account through wifi. I setup fingerprint but had to set up a pin and confirmed the pin. I subsequently added two fingers then switched off to charge.

When I got 100% I turned it on and it asked me for the pin for first logging after restart, to my bewilderment, my pin was wrong. This Pin that I typed twice and it is the same pin in this phone I am typing with.

Now, I don't know-how to enter recovery mode.

I am not sure I can sleep this night

I changed my car oil early Feb, it has covered over 28,000 mileages.
28000 miles! Na moon you go? More like 2800 miles.

For most cars, the manual recommends 7500 to 10,000 miles, but that is for using recommended engine oil and filter which in most cases will be synthetic or synthetic blend. Surely, you will not be using the recommended oil.

So if using mineral oil (conventional oil) it is advised to go ½ way 3500 miles but if using synthetic blend 5000-6000 and if synthetic 7500-10,000 miles. Remember that filters are in grades too, you don't want to risk 10,000 miles on a N500 filter. If a filter blocks, the effect is worst than using same oil for 28000 miles.

Do you think the government will fold it's arms to allow the country divide.

Let me tell you the fact, the North is 1 indivisible entity, the SW is a follower of that indivisible entity. The SS isn't following the SE to neverland. The SE remains alone in the quest for a state, that means SE should prepare for civil war. Besides, more than a quarter of the population of SE is outside doing business and hustling, non of which is willing to go back home. However, these Igbo guys in Lagos, Kano, Kaduna and everywhere join their online brothers to rain insults on whoever has ears without even thinking it through.

How is it possible that Nigeria will break peacefully without the suspension of the constitution. The constitution made even creation of a local government nearly impossible, how much more a country. Abi na military coup una dey plan, that will result in worst case than the 1966 "July rematch"

Anyone thinking Nigeria will break is living in denial.

Well before Buhari thought he could actually win and become president, NOK warned against the inevitable. Buhari had not finished receiving economic briefing before the country went into recession. At the same time our major source of income took the biggest hit since the oil boom of the 70's, when oil prices fell to the record lowest.

It will be better to say Buhari came with bad luck but being unreasonable is the very thing that confuses me.

What kind of job will a pharmacist do to be paid N5m in a day?

The bottom Civil Engrs earn lower than pharmacists but the middle and upper civil engrs cannot be compared in terms of income to pharmacists.

Even Medical Drs don't earn as much as Civil Engrs in the peak of their careers.

My uncle is a top Consultant Gynecologist, who has been a Dean faculty of medicine. I wrote Jamb in his house but today what I earn is just shy of his.

It is easier for an average Civil Engr to start a business and earn 100m than for a pharmacist or even a Medical Dr

I bought my 2003 Accord in 2014, it was shorting oil since then and it's still shorting oil now and I have done over 100,000 miles on it. It úsed to be small but the shortage is high now without any visible dropping on the floor.

You just have to make do with it. Just check for PCV valve blockage, that's what most mechanics would not know but don't expect it to stop entirely.

Also more than a liter short in 1000 miles is considered much, that's close to like 4litre in one service cycle or 3500 miles
