Ikenna351:I saw it and expected her to fix the car by hook or crook since her reputation was on the line. I even pointed to her the op's primary complain which I expected her to focus on deploying every means necessary. |
9icetoo:Oboy, that will be scandalous |
Kingdemu:There is one last resort, that is if the receipt carries the VIN no. Op, just pay for VIN check |

Thàts an IS250 |
Prechgold1180:Oh no, there's a big difference. For example, GS 300 is 1997-2004 model while GS 350 is 2006-2011 Just post the car picture or find a google picture of the car and post here. |
radautoworks:What i said and what you are saying are two different things Where did I also say for him to sell the car cheap? What i said is, you suggested he sells the car he bought cheap. Secondly, all the parts you asked him to change, even if you used your own parts would not solve his primary problem. The plugs he bought has no link to the oil pressure warning light nor the smoke, so even if you supplied it, it won't make any difference. The engine tune up wasn't it either. Thirdly, these cars you fix are mostly from the US, the parts you supply are from there too but your approach to fixing these cars shouldn't be from there. Reason being that most of these cars have either been written off or declared to have lost value by the US repair system before they got here. So yes, we naturally expect a different repair system to the US. Using that system here means that there won't be equivalent value for money spent. Your job is supposed to be creating value, not losing value. Spending 1.3 on that repair in your shop will never translate to an equivalent 1.3m increased value of the car. What op has spent in parts and labor from your diagnosis and works is enough to buy a small Naija used car, at least he deserves to be comforted that his primary problem was solved but no. If he had paid the 1.3m, will the story be any different? I don't think so. Because in the bill, there was nothing that will fix the smoke.or the oil pressure light. |
Murrynmama:The 200m is an estimate that has been contested and still being contested, 300 is just plain ridiculous and cannot be statically analysed. When the last census was conducted, communities connived with adhoc census staff to inflate their population in order to attract political and economic development. Don't forget that local governments and states are created based on population, schools are allocated on population, federal revenue is shared according to population and so many other benefits. This causes communities to inflate their population by any means to attract these benefits. |
niyidenrele:Out of 82m, do you know the number of people who have 10 or more PVCs? It's not a coincidence that 1. Voters register is 84m 2. NIN is 51m 3. Voter turnout is always below 40m, lowest is the last election due to card reader It's not new that the median age in Nigeria is 18yrs, with 51m registered NIN, it means another 51m are not registered. This gives us 102m. Let's also assume that for the 51m who have registered, there are 20% more who are either too old, live remotely, just attained the age of registration or have simple failed to register for other reasons. Let's assume 10m to get a total of 112m. Let's just say 120m at worst. There is no way we can be more than 150m |
I know there are many Nigerians below the age 18 and those in remote areas who have not registered. Having said that, if we double the number of people that have been registered, 102m, it gives us a fair estimate of the population of Nigeria. Remember, our voters register has 82m. Voter turnout last time was less than 30m. That 200m estimated population of Nigeria is grossly far from the actual |
radautoworks:Madam, the truth is you guys need to change your approach to being mechanics. I know your major stream of income is in parts sales. When you mix the business of selling parts and fixing them, you will naturally tend to throw.parts at any problem without the burden of proper and intensive diagnosis. You guys are guilty of throwing parts in this case. Imagine this, if he paid the original bill of 1.3m, his problems will still be there. It tells you that the diagnosis was entirely wrong. As premium service providers, you can't afford these issues. I expected you will personally ensure that this car gets fixed even if it means using your personal resources to avoid bad publicity. You even made it worst by suggesting he sells the car he bought cheap. |
Liposure:2yrs, some late bloomers 3yrs |
richiemcgold:11-13 is the normal age for going to secondary school internationally. Only Nigerians developed the bad habit of sending children 9-10 to secondary. Check this out, nursery school is 3 years, primary school is 6years making 9years. If a 9yr old goes to secondary, he should have started school the day he was given birth to. Meanwhile, the actual Nursery 1 age is 2-3 years old, add 9yrs, you have 11 yrs minimum. In those days when the education system was good and children had to repeat a class if the failed, they are looking at 12-13yrs. These days parents will not accept it if a child is asked to repeat. |
oluayebenz:Even if the car was given to him free, the worth of the car shouldn't be a subject of ridicule I knew the issues can't be resolved with ease. When you give hope to the blind, nothing short of sight will settle the matter. That P.S. she added was below the belt. Kinda saying she couldn't fix it, because it's crap. |
justscorchone:Cunt abi clit |
JoeEeL:Damn, you read but don't understand. 2 people died that day, 1 at Lekki toll gate and the second some where else. The one who died at the toll gate didn't have gunshot wounds so soldiers didn't kill him. The other who died some where else had gunshot wounds, how can the soldiers at toll gate be responsible for that one. Technically, it brings the victims of soldiers shooting to zero. |
kingreign:I have seen Pathfinder |
freeborn02:Infact, they do |
AstroG:I don't even have steering wheel cover in my car. I love to see my car looking stock. I am more practical than physical. So if a car comes with torn leather seats, I'd rather get toks seats than do upholstery. Seat covers is absolutely a no-no for me. I'd rather have a bad engine than have torn seats or melted dashboard |
AstroG:My reply is not specifically to 2006 Honda Accord. The 3 main things that attract me to any car is price, body and interior condition. These can be seen in pictures with an advertised car. What turns me off is rust and bad electrical wiring. A cheap 500k 2006 Accord with a perfect body but a dead engine and transmission is a good buy. If it's rust, there is no amount of money that will make me buy it unless it's free. Electrical problems are not as easy to fix as replacing an engine or transmission or any suspension part for that matter. Body problems also requires a skilled panel beater. Body problems that has affected chassis or suspension mounting positions is a turn off. I also prefer body problems where buying door, bonnet, trunk will easily resolve the problem. The single line key to buying a car is price and estimating repairs |
n3xt:Was it that you didn't have the plot survey at the time you designed the building? You should have had the survey before doing anything. From what I see, you designed the building before trying to fit in a layout only to realize it won't fit. The client should have been warned ab initio. You also knew about the fact that there won't be approval but you still went ahead to draft. The were so many reasons why you shouldn't have done the job but you took the money and still failed when the failure was inevitable |
Jerry of course Tom is a pet and his responsibility is keeping Jerry off the house. He in turns steals and blames the mouse. However, Jerry out smarts Tom most times. It is natural for a mouse to steal food but for a pet to steal, it's bad. |
purples25:Stop the beating . It's not helping because of their size. One day, they might react and that will be the end of any disciplinary action from you. Secondly, talk less and care for them less. Hausa says, "Sabo da ido shi ke sa reni", that is, familiarity breeds contempt. The are not your responsibility, they see you as over bearing. You actually have no leverage to discipline them or get respect. You are not a parent, you physically may not win a one on one fight, you don't pay their bills nor provide for their upkeep. If they had to depend on you for shelter, cloths, food, sch fees and all they need, they will respect you. What ever thing they enjoyed from you, make them beg for it, that's leverage. Start with a strong password on your laptop and keep the password secret. |
makemusic1:I prefer punch hole against the tear drop which I seriously dislike. I'd rather have pop up to the tear drop |
Emily22:We are many that have been looking for a way round |
Mayor555:Yeah, the TSX carries the K24A engine as the accords but the TSX is tuned higher. The confusion op noticed is probably just the manifold cover which belongs to the TSX. |
benjackugo:Absolute bullshlt Most rich people acquire the wealth using principles depicted in the book 48 laws of power The book teaches an ambitious person to be very selfish and to be ruthless with friends, family, colleagues and anyone that stands in the way or threaten their ambition |
SarkinYarki:. Me, I wonder why would a bank accept credit to an account that has been Frozen but will not accept debit, it is wrong on all levels. |
AlexJustin:A construction company for the experience. It is also easier to go on and start up a private construction company later in life unlike a real estate company |
When both my parents were working and my father had a car, my mum wanted her own car and gave me money to buy a car for her. I registered it in my name but later my father was transferred across the state and needed a smaller economical car for the long journey, they swapped cars. He bought her a replacement car when he retired and collected his gratuity, i registered the car in my father's name and my mother gave a serious fuss about it. She retired and also replaced his car with her gratuity. The point is that the name on the documentation is nothing if a couple understand themselves. They built their house together so it will never matter whose name is on paper |
gbadexy:The big issue is the inverter settings. Inverters that don't have adjustable DoD setting will put a preset setting and most times will not advertise it with the spec sheet. Such an inverter with 90%DoD, you will never know when the 50% is reach by the only the bar on the inverter.22 My Mercury inverter has 4bars, the full bar is the only significant bar and could last for 10 of the 12hrs I get on full charge . Once that bar goes off, I know my charge is almost depleted. If you have never experienced how long each bar last on the same load and do not know the DoD setting, there is still a chance you drain above the 50%DOD. The easiest way to know for sure is measuring your voltage with a multimeter at the time the first bar goes off. A fully charged 12V battery should be 12.5-12.6vdc and a fully depleted battery should be at least 10.5vdc. A 24v system is twice and the 48v system is 4 times that. The issue is that the battery holds 12.5v longer than it can hold 12.1v |
gbadexy:The battery life also depends on other factors mainly charging voltage and discharge cycle |
Is it only me that notice the misleading title of the thread Its not her baby according to the story |
