That is why Igbos want Biafra.

We have seen how your winning team ruined Nigeria's economy from 2015. We have seen how your winning team has vehemently refused to restructure Nigeria. We have experienced how your winning team uses nepotism, terrorism and dictatorship to clamp down on peaceful protests and dissenting voices.
God forbid that I am a part of such a retrogressive winning team.

Biafra is the winning team that I desire
I wish you good luck.

We supported Yaradua. Just a few years ago, we also supported Atiku. We are now tired of supporting other people, who never consider supporting us.

No Igboman has seen the presidency in over 55 years, and you think that is normal. Ekwueme was a total gentleman but still, he was never allowed to mount the presidency.

Biafra is now the answer
In the current political circle (APC), who did you support? Do you even support the current political circle? How do you expect an Igbo to be selected at this time when the Igbos are threatening thunder and brimstone.

Have you ever heard of the coined words "winning team"? You need to be in a winning team to taste the exploits of battle.

The Hausa took the presidency away from Jonathan, they needed an alliance they got it with SW. It is only after the participants of that winning team have finished their turns with the exploits before they will consider any other one. It is not rocket science.

Ekweme was simply not in the winning team. In general, the Igbos don't understand politics or politicking.

The lack of understanding from the Igbos is mind boggling.

Yes he will say that, until an Igboman tries to run for the presidency of Nigeria. That's when he will realise that Nigeria is not really our home.

Now that it is clear it is the turn of the Igbos to occupy the presidency, your so called fellow Nigerians have abandoned zoning to the southeast.

Igbos must break away from Nigeria
When it was the turn of the Hausa man, did you support? Do you expect the Hausa man to support you now?

Do you expected the Yoruba man who benefits directly from the quagmire of your lack of support for other regions to support you.

If the Hausa and Yoruba wont support you based on your lack of support, who else will support an Igbo president?

Don't sit back waiting for zoning to reach you, you need to work to claim the zoning. Don't forget, Northeast has also not seen the presidency. They are not agitating a breakaway like you are.

DATA & AIRTIME - 1500
MISCELLANEOUS - 1500

TOTAL MONTHLY EXPENSES - 23,000 (apx)

TOTAL MONTHLY SAVINGS - 14,000 + budget surplus

I have learnt to be frugal and only pay for needs and not wants ever since I started service because cost of living in Nigeria is very high. I am also brain storming on business and farming ideas to venture into to supplement my earnings.

Corpers in the house, how much do you earn, spend and save monthly?

Car TalkRe: Who Is Familiar With Fuel Pump Check Valve Here ? by adanny01(m): 6:18pm On Jun 17, 2021
Grupo:
Sir, please help.

My car has a unique hard starting problem.

Background: before the issue started, the car would start on one touch or crank in the morning.

Then if I park under the sun during the day, it would crank longer continuously, for about 4 seconds before starting. Once it starts, the rpm would be low like it wants to stall for a second then everything picks up normally. Once started, car drives well. No issues.

When the problem began is when it started cranking for like 3 seconds in the morning before starting.

Then if I park, especially under the sun for a while, I would have to crank continuously for about 6 or 7 seconds before the car would start.

Then it starts sluggishly with low rpm like it wants to stall. But eventually picks up after a second. Once done with all these starting issues, car drives well.

Whenever it cranks this long before starting, it would bring out black smoke upon starting. And one would easily perceive the smell of unburnt fuel from the exhaust. But the black smoke doesn't come out when driving, likewise the smell of unburnt fuel from the exhaust.

But if it doesn't crank long before starting, no smell of unburnt fuel from exhaust and no black smoke.

What I have tried: I changed the fuel pump. It fixed the problem for a few weeks and it returned.

Do you think fuel pressure regulator may be the culprit?

Car is 2007 Toyota corolla.

The fuel pressure regulator is inside the fuel pump assembly.

Please, respond.
All i can do is point in the directions you should go (what i will do if it were my car).

1. Get a comprehensive scan. I would be interested in any temperature related sensor problem and long term fuel trim.

2. Black smoke indicates a rich mixture, the number one cause of a rich mixture is leaking injector and high fuel pressure. Leaking injector is pretty straightforward which you know what to do. High fuel pressure will be as a result of pressure regulator stuck close. This causes the injectors to leak or release more than required amount of fuel anytime they open causing rich mixture.

3. The fact that the mixture becomes rich before it starts means that you could have ignition problems so i will suggest clean the plugs or change.

4. If it you want to rule out fuel pressure regulator stuck open, before you start the car build pressure by turning the ignition to ON (II) for 3secs and OFF repeatedly like 5 times before starting. If it starts at once every time you do this then you have a pressure regulator stuck open.

5. You also want to clean out your intake air filter.

The problem is that each time you try to start unsuccessfully, fuel is being delivered. Having black smoke after it starts means one thing was off. System too rich or too lean mixture/no spark or wrong spark timing/no compression.

Start eliminating possible issues 1 by 1.

Spending money is not care. A guy must not spend money to show that he cares for his girlfriend.

The girl is not his responsibility, at least my sisters were taught that by my parents. A boyfriend only buys gifts to show he cares.

Any girl who has genuine problems should ask her boyfriend for assistance if she has no parents or guardians to turn to.

Trust me, a fuel filter will not be suddenly rid of debris or dirt with a full tank. If you had a bad check valve or pressure regulator, your car wouldn't have started with 1kick.

It could be an intermittent issue but fuel filter is ruled out.

Does that mean if he marries her, he will not feed or cloth her? How certain are you that when she becomes the mother of his children, he will be stingy to his wife and children?

You are speaking for yourself, if truly its your friend you care about, i suggest you ask her to ask him directly why he doesn't buy her gifts or take her out.

He could be innocent you know. Its possible he has seen that she is comfortable on her own and likes her for being independent. But you pushing her to quit is a bad thing.

You even said it, he supports his friends. So he is not stingy. You friend didn't ask, you have no right to label him stingy and support a break up based on this.

It is even obvious you are the one putting the idea in her head. She is ok with it but you are not.

This post is so saddening that it is should make any sane Nigerian cry.

In my area in Lagos, I can barely boast of 5 hours of power daily for the past few months but yet we have unutilized power to sell to neighboring countries.

We sell electricity to generate foreign revenue but we don't have electricity to promote industrialization that will revamp our economy in it's entirety.

Is this not madness?
Funny enough, we sell to these neighbors and they end up have very stable supply.

The difference is that even as little as they have in infrastructure, it is adequate from the few that can afford it.

If NERC is truly committed to their role as a regulatory commission, they should be able to mitigate these problems. It is not entirely hopeless.

You sound very informed about the sector. How is that so?
Nah, NERC can't do nada. The bulk of the problem is not even the infrastructure, it is we Nigerians that sabotage it in every corner.

NERC sabotage it by not formulating right policies or buckle under pressure from DISCOs.

DISCOs sabotage it when they intentionally refuse to meter customers choosing to use estimated overbilling to cover their own revenue lapses.

Electricity workers also do their sabotage by being inexperienced and doing sharp practices. I know a transformer that got burnt because any time the fuse gets burnt, the so called NEPA staff cuts a wire from the exposed earth wire to fix as fuse. They did that till there was no earth wire and the transformer gave up. That same community had over 1000 houses, but the registered accounts with the DISCO is 250. This means the bill from 750 houses end up in private pockets and the bill for 1000 houses is shared into 250 houses. Meanwhile the transformer is overloaded but the DISCO cannot officially know or do anything about it.

Customers also partake in the sabotage buy illegal connections, stealing electricity, not paying the bills etc

In all, we are all Nigerians in these capacities, in our individual ways, we are sabotaging electricity supply to ourselves.

I will be very short and precise on this one and I really need help. I am in my late 20s and the current relationship I have with my fiance is hitting the rocks because I don't even last up to 10 seconds during sex(yes, it's that bad). We have been together for awhile now, but these days I can really see she is really frustrated at me. Anytime we make love, I end up being ashamed. Please I want someone to help me out a permanent solution. Thanks as I await responses from meaningful NLers.
My unorthodox advice. Follow it if you have the will to quit drugs.

One thing i have come to understand for sometime is that sex comes with self esteem. A person can fvck an ugly girl hard but when he meets a beautiful girl, the person could lose his libido.

I have seen a guy who can't satisfy his girlfriend but will perform well with a random girl he has no attraction for. Another one gets scared of ashawo and doesn't last 5secs, he is more comfortable with a clean young girl.

The fact is that, this whole sexual act happens in the head. You have to work your brain to ignore some of these natural impulses.

To the solution, now that it seems you already have a low self esteem and there is no end in sight, the only way out is to fvck your girl hard once even if it is drugs you will use. Make sure she gets more than she wants.
This should send a message to your psychic that lasting longer is possible such that you can overcome the fear. Your girlfriend should also feel there is hope.

The caveat is that you only need the drugs to prove a point and heal yourself. The real challenge is fighting drug addiction, i must warn you. You should not continue using drugs after that 1 time, else you will be creating another problem for yourself.

We've exhausted all the escuses we thought would work out to dump him but he somehow have ways around them (very annoying) and my friend wants to be diplomatic. Please your suggestions are highly welcomed. Thanks

Very enlightening and interestingly simple.

So the problem is the DISCOs, and it is common knowledge?

Why can't the government, notably the Ministry of Power do something about it?

If the NCC can sanction private telecommunication companies and NBC, broadcasting companies. Why can't the government set up a commission that looks into all the various power companies and sanction the failing DISCOs and get them to get their act together?
These are private businesses, you can't force them to do more infrastructure. They will welcome anyone who will do it for them. In fact, NIPP did it before they went private. The Nigerian Rural Electrification Agency still do it. Local governments and even state governments do it. Infact, individuals do it. The DISCOs only do it when there is a huge revenue potential.

NERC only regulates them but to a limit. NERC always budge under pressure from the DISCOs. This infrastructure problem is just a tip of the iceberg, the problems are far many.

NBC abi na NCC couldn't force DSTV to implement Pay-per-view, its the same here.

For the fact that we don't produce the electricity equipment, relying on import is another huge problem. We import as little as wires, we also get to import transformers. All these depends on foreign exchange so you can imagine how a transformer that was N1m some years ago is N2m now.

Well its a valve in the fuel pump that prevents the fuel from returning back into the tank when you switch your car off and so that when next you want to start your car there is fuel waiting ready for you to start it, but if the check valve is bad and all the fuel drains back into the tank ? when you start the car it will take you like 10 seconds before it starts because the fuel has to be pumped from the tank seeing as the one that is normally just waiting to be used has drained back into the tank

anyway so i was running my car on low one day and i think the sediments from the fuel tank has gone on to leave my check valve partially open or something and now the fuel just drains back into the tank and when i want to start the car in the morning it cranks a few times before it starts

so the question is can this debris in the check valve be dislodged by just buying a full tank and filling it to the brim ? so that the submerged fuel pump will release the debris ?

would fuel system cleaner do the job ? they do advertise on it that it cleans the valves.

any car experts in the house ?
Before commenting on your problem, let me add with regards to the check valve.

The valve in a fuel sending unit is not just a simple check, non-return, one way, retention or any other name of the type of valve.

The type used in a fuel sending unit is a pressure regulator even though there is a check valve somewhere to prevent fuel from returning through the pump, i guess that check valve is inside the pump itself. This pressure regulator has 1 inlet and 2 outlets. The inlet is from the pump and one outlet is to the injectors and the second outlet is the return line that dumps excess pressure.

Mechanically, the regulator has a gate with a pressure spring on the return outlet. This gate is forced open by a certain pressure. At the time this gate opens the fuel pump continues to pump fuel keeping that certain pressure constant for optimal working of the injectors. If pressure drops, the valve closes to build the pressure.

This brings us to your problem, you are saying somehow either the check valve in the pump or the pressure regulator is stuck open. Neither of which are impossible but i won't be so quick to say its dirt. Unless you don't have a fuel filter which is located at the fuel pump inlet. Usually, if the filter is dirty, it even blocks fuel flow entirely such that the pump would die prematurely or you loose pressure that the engine will be difficult to start or run properly.

My question is, how certain are you that you lose pressure when you turn off? How did you find that out without a pressure gauge on the line? The fuel pressure regulator is very cheap, you could replace it.

If the pressure regulator is stuck open, chances are that you will have other problems apart from hard starting. You will experience loss of power or stalling with full throttle acceleration which is because you will never have required fuel pressure.

If your regulator is stuck close, the injectors will have too much pressure and will deliver too much fuel or even leak causing high fuel consumption, black smoke, and fuel trims will definitely go haywire.

Agree with me or not, this is unfair and underserved retirement for this men. No matter what political views you subscribe to, if you’re being fair and reasonable, you’d see Nigeria is facing a terrible security crisis that requires all hands on deck. You cannot be retiring Generals at this point in time, and you know why these men are going on retirement. A very flimsy and petty reason. You know who’s behind this.

What would it have caused the President to appoint a competent Chief of Army staff from the regular course 36? Ask yourself again. And then you argue that it is to his discretion. But when a person’s choice, when their discretion is causing so much vile and resentment, and public outcry, does it not show something is inherently wrong with the person and inadvertently their ability to make choices?
Currently, I’m yet to see people who trusts the President’s good judgement. If you do, notify me, let me tell you where you belong.

He made a claim on AriseTv, that he only appoints people who he knows. But is the seat of Governance a family reunion? You don’t have to know these individuals. There’s a public service commission. There are individuals responsible for suggesting appointments to you. Appointments generally should be for the betterment of the people. Not to satisfy your familiarity or ethnocentric tendencies.

Do you know by implication, he’s saying all those men do not level up to the substance of the newly appointed vaunted Farouk Yahaya? That’s an insult to men who are older than him in the force, who worked and served their asses off to a country that does not rate them. Nigeria is sending them off to compulsory retirement simply because of what? The Nigerian “Presidency” is playing with matters of great national security. These appointments are bedevilling.

Have you bothered to find out if AEDC has the infrastructure to distribute above 300MW if they were to be given more?

I was at Zungeru town in Niger for a while last year, they had no electricity for over 2yrs. The 11kV live was destroyed by rainstorm years ago but AEDC did nothing about it until the Local government decided to fix it.

The real question is would a 11kV line properly deliver 24hrs electricity to the town, absolutely not. That means the problem is multifaceted.

Give AEDC 500MW, nothing will change. They simply cannot distribute more than their network can carry. The network they will never upgrade. The same applies to all DISCOs.
PoliticsRe: Four West African Countries To Buy Nigeria’s Idle Electricity by adanny01(m): 6:53am On Jun 11, 2021
dochenaj:
And the distribution issues cannot be solved?

It is an NP-complete problem, right? So why should we waste our energy on that, let's just build transmission lines and sell the power.
Have you forgotten that distribution of electricity is in private hands?

Ask anyone who uses 33kV lines for power supply, they get 22-24hrs electricity per day except when there is a system failure in the national grid. The reason is that 33kV, 132kV and 330kV networks are under the TCN while 11kV and 415V are under the DISCOs where you have the serious supply problems.

The problem is lack of adequate power transformers and bad 415V network. Build a house today 500m from the last 415V pole, you will be totally responsible for extending the service to your house. A lot of people will use substandard wires for their own usage but years down the line, that house becomes a community without any upgrade to the wire that was meant for 1 house. That community begins to affect the transformer.

It i well known that DISCOs don't buy power transformers or cables and poles for communities. Everyone is on his own with that regard, as such these things are being over loaded. They end up having to turn off the electricity for the systems to cool off or they simply cannot turn on the electricity for every one at the same time.

In summary, the power is there but the DISCOs cannot use all of it because of inadequate infrastructure at their end.

Power problems in Nigeria is mostly distribution issues and not generation. Secondly, transmission is the second but far smaller problem.

That means Nigeria can afford to sell unused generated power.

Driving your vehicle on low fuel or an empty tank can damage your ride or even lead to a crash. The fuel gauge in your car or truck is lying to you.

Automobile manufacturers build in about a gallon (3.8 liters) of reserve fuel beyond the "empty" line. They also warn about low fuel long before a vehicle runs out.

Your car's electric pump fail mainly due to constantly being in use. After years of service it wears on the internal parts. But there are other reasons that cause premature failure

The reserve fuel in the tank acts like a coolant for the electric fuel-pump motor. When you run very low,it allows the pump to suck in air, which creates heat and can cause the fuel pump to wear prematurely and potentially fail.

Another concern would be the dirt that accumulates in the bottom of the tank that gets sucked up by the pump on low fuel levels. This jams the pump. The dirt either comes from poor grade fuel or water and rust in the tank.

In addition to potentially costly repairs to your car, driving on a low tank can be dangerous. If the car suddenly stops running, you could be stranded in the middle of a busy highway thereby, putting you and any passengers in an even more dangerous situation.

Also remember the amount of fuel your gauge is telling you may not be what you have.Fuel gauges are still measured by a float, which can change depending on whether or not you're on a hill.

So don't use your reserve fuel -It protects your pump.

Cc Lalasticlala Mynd44
In modern cars, most of these issues don't apply due to the design of the fuel sending unit.

The fuel pump sits inside the fuel sending unit which usually has a no-return valve that makes sure the fuel sending unit is always filled with fuel till the last drop of fuel is pulled into the sending unit.

Secondly, the fuel pressure regulator discharges the excess pressure fuel into the fuel sending unit and not the tank also making sure the sending unit is always filled with fuel.

This design helps to avoid fuel cutting out when the car tilts or when the tank is near empty. This means that the only time the fuel supply cuts off is the moment the fuel sending unit is empty and the tank should be empty first.

This means that the fuel pump is constantly submerged in fuel even if the fuel level in the tank is very low. The only time the fuel pump isn't submerged in fuel is when the fuel is finished and the car will not run.

After using my 2003 car for 6 years in 2020, I decided to inspect my fuel filter and pressure regulator, i was shocked to see the tank bottom spotlessly clean. Maybe its my choice of filling stations, but apart from the usual browning of the sending unit plastics, there was nothing like dirt or water.
