A popular social media activist and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has berated President Muhammadu Buhari for his failure to sack the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba.

According to him, the IGP should have been dismissed, after the suspended cop, Abba Kyari was sighted at his (Usman) son’s wedding two weeks ago.

Recall that the suspended former head of the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team graced the wedding Fatiha of Maina Alkali, the son of Alkali Baba.

It was the first time Kyari was seen in a public function since the outrage that greeted his Facebook post on August 4, 2021, amid his controversial involvement with alleged internet fraudster, Hushpuppi.

As Nigerians were yet to come to terms with issues of his link with Hushpuppi, the former ‘super cop’ is currently in detention for his alleged links with a powerful drug cartel.

Recall that former Inspector General of Police, Tafa Balogun was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Lagos, despite resigning suddenly amid allegations of corruption during the administration of President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Omokri believes that is how those found wanting in public offices should be treated, calling on Buhari to take a decisive action.

“If Buhari had any shame, by now the IGP would have been out of a job for hosting a then suspended Abba Kyari at his son’s wedding 2 weeks ago,” he tweeted.

Sharing a picture of Tafa Balogun in handcuffs, he added, “This is Obasanjo’s IGP in handcuffs. That is how to fight corruption. Not hosting a known criminal cop at your IGP’s home!

“Exactly 2 weeks to the day he was declared wanted by the NDLEA, Abba Kyari was a guest of the IGP at his son’s wedding.

“A man that was meant to be under suspension? It is not only Abba Kyari that should be answering questions. The IGP has serious questions to answer.”

I work as a security officer in a community, I usually work from 7:00am - 3pm in a secondary school, and also resume night duty by 7pm in a community close to my house
The landlord association gave us a warning that we must check all cars coming in and going out of the estate and we have been performing our duties in a polite way..
About 11:35pm last night, we heard the horn of a strange car requesting that we should open the gate, I switch on my touch to check those inside the car, it was three abled young men and lady inside the car, in a polite way I ask them where they are heading to and they mentioned a popular rich man in the community, as usual, I told them to open the booth of there car which they refused to open, I told them to drive back to where they are coming from but before I could know what's happening,. They got down from the car and threathing to deal with us if the gate is not opened...they forced the gate open and drove inside the community,my colleague we're just watching the whole scenario as I drag issues with them...
I don't know the report they gave the chairman of the landlords association, they just got to our checkpoint this morning and told me I have been fired without paying me off, I told them I haven't done anything wrong and was just carrying out my duties,I was told never to come close to the area again or else I will be arrested.
I left there in annoyance, I was only carrying out my duties but now I have been Sacked for carrying out order...
I don't know what this country is turning to again...

A Church member invited the masses to his mother's burial ceremony last week Sunday, today when I got there I had to look for his own canopy..to my surprise they were just few persons sitting on his canopy with lots of chairs vacant.

and I came late o, we talking about after 2.48pm

His siblings canopies were filled to the brim, even his uncle's canopies were filled up that they were even coming to collect chairs from his own canopies to theirs for their respective guest. (this guy is the second to senior) I could see the embarrassment on this man face... he was just quiet and moody.

Food he cooked was surplus, nobody to give after sharing for we the church members that came..he had to even give us extra takeaway home because we didn't pass 10...still they are still enough leftovers.

While I was coming home one of the member from the church a very good friend of mine gave me a lift, then he told me Alex...you see why you need to dey mingle with people all around so that when you want to do things people will come.

You can't just put your full mind for people in church or family members...they disappoint you.

As you go people own, na so people go like come your own.

it really touched me, because I might even be worst than this guy, I hardly go out in the day....I don't have friends.. nobody to invite me to party... people in my street don't even know my name..This is really bad I need to change.
