Okoroawusa:Did u connect to the story by the Op? What NIMC is doing does not make sense. |
shogsman:No matter how one detest policemen, it is when u have security issues with area boys/kidnappers/armed robbers and they show up that one will learn to appreciate them irrespective of their other misdeeds. |
Mynd44:You read or you have done it countless times before. Oga come clean jor. |
tsephanyah:Where is the electricity? |
Social media activists will not allow us hear word over Kogi and Osun non payment of salaries. But in PDP states like Benue and Abia, they will go mute. Osun state's own is even better, as the state clearly acknowledged that they have a financial problem and they put strategies in place for a gradual resolution. They also have an improved infrastructure to show for all the debt. I say again, hypocrisy is our biggest problem in Nigeria. |
ClassicMG:They must have gotten approval from the presidency. EFCC cannot be dashing out confiscated property by fiat. |
anyimontana:Why? when it can be put to use. |
This is a worthy project! Kudos to Anambra state. |
Validated:If it was the APC that was responsible for the issue in Bauchi, the cries that will be all over the internet is "Democracy in Danger" The major problem in Nigeria is hypocrisy. |
NaMe4:Did u not see the statement from the Army? |
FarahAideed:In this unclear video, how did u pick that? |
VivaDeAngelo:The fact that the suspect escaped is what rubbished the version of accounts from the Army. |
They killed the guy. Either those he was desperate to run away from or those he was desperate to go after organised his murder. |

Court freezes accounts linked to former Lagos governor, Ambode, over N9.9bn alleged fraud A Lagos Division of the Federal High Court on Tuesday ordered the freezing of three bank accounts allegedly linked to the Lagos State government and former governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, over an alleged N9.9 billion fraud. Chuka Obiozor, the judge, ordered the temporary freezing of the accounts, domiciled in Zenith Bank, Access Bank, and First City Monument Bank, following an exparte application brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. According to the EFCC, N9.9 billion was paid from the state government’s accounts into the FCMB account opened on September 17, 2018, and operated by Adewale Adesanya, the permanent secretary in the Office of the Chief of Staff to Mr Ambode. The anti-graft commission urged the court to freeze the account pending the conclusion of their investigation and possible prosecution of Mr Adesanya. In an affidavit filed in support of the ex parte application, Kungmi Daniel, a member of the EFCC investigating team, said the schedule of the FCMB account showed how Mr Adesanya and the other signatories to the account made fraudulent fund transfers into the account from the accounts of the Lagos State Government. “The trend in the account is that the account always witnessed huge inflow from Lagos State Government in the above-scheduled accounts managed by the respondent (Adesanya),” the investigator said. He said the commission received an intelligence on the transfers, analysed it, and found it worthy of investigation. The EFCC prayed the court to grant it an order to temporarily attach and take over the accounts to enable it to conclude its investigations. “There have been concerted efforts and attempts to dissipate the contents of the accounts listed in the schedule to this application,” the EFCC said. “Without freezing the nominated accounts and temporarily forfeiting the money to the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, there is no way the fraud being perpetrated using the scheduled accounts can be stopped.” The judge, after listening to the EFCC’s lawyer, Mohammed Abbas, ordered the ”suspension” of the accounts and adjourned till September 9. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/345340-court-freezes-accounts-linked-to-former-lagos-governor-ambode-over-n9-9bn-alleged-fraud.html |
:- johndik:To bring crowd na. Civil servants make money where there is crowd and confusion. |
UcGadaz:Biometrics capture can only be carried out for the person on whose name the car is registered. Well, it depends on how you can talk your way with the officers on the road. Either ways, you must drop somethings ![]() |
erico2k2:@seunmsg is this not what I've just said? Someone is disputing something and calling the other party a liar without any evidence to back up such a claim. It's not worth it discussing with such intellectually deficient individuals.
|
seunmsg:Those guys are irredeemable. The mistake we keep making is to assume they are actually interested in fact-finding. They are not at all! They have already made up their mind and will never shift positions, no matter the evidence you put to their faces. They will keep on squirming around. They don't have any alternative facts but keep foaming in the mouth and throwing unverified claims. When you put forward your own claim, they will dispute it without any counter evidence. |
megafaraday:Ambode did not empower them. Ambode is Mr Know it all that believed stealing and chopping govt money is in everything he does not know about. |
tuniski:PLEASE show us what was at the tribunal. "the necessity of proof lies with the person who lays charges." |
tuniski:This is a legal matter. The WAEC official is right to state that he can only speak for WAEC and not Cambridge. Let the court subpoenaed Cambridge officials to speak for themselves. The documents are pasted below for you. Which discrepancies are you talking about? For your information, WAEC does not list subjects that are failed (F9) on their certificate. That is the reason he was registered for 8 subjects but the attestation is only showing 6. He got grade 9 in maths and one other subject according to the statement of result from the school broadsheet.
|
tuniski:You work in Cambridge University for you to know their peculiar correspondence procedure right? So after bringing a statement of result from an institution, you have to collect another letter from such institution confirming that the document emanates from them? Does that even make sense to you? The onus rest on the person disputing the document to prove. So you are saying Buhari, President of Nigeria forged a letter from Cambridge University. According to you the University never wrote that letter right? Which subjects are inconsistent with the WAEC version? Post both documents, let us see. |
erico2k2:You are no longer writing Cambridge? You have passed your judgment already? Which one are u guys on sef? The statement of result is fake in its entirety and did not come from Cambridge? Or the statement is an authentic result from Cambridge but there is contradiction in the name. |
erico2k2:The write-up is balderdash. Senior lawyers dont engage in overkill when the objectives of their defence has already been achieved; that is for upcoming lawyers. Stop listening to hearsay and confirm information yourself. The WAEC man gave each grade on the result obtained by the president in court. Atiku lawyers were only trying to play funny by asking him questions on the Cambridge copy of the result, which he rightly countered them, that he can only talk about the WAEC results because he represents WAEC. Kindly note that both bodies collaborated on the exams as at then, and both have the results and are empowered to issue a statement of result. |
erico2k2:Why are you people so uni-directional? Why are u only waiting for them to deny it without even considering that the document may actually be genuine? Pls go ahead and make the request. We'll appreciate that. Also, ensure you create a thread on the response you get. I remember in 2015, people like u also made lots of noise that Hausa was not being offered as at 1961 that they will get in touch with Cambridge. After Cambridge confirmed, they went dumb and started picking on other points. |
eldoradoxx:You mean if you lose your certificate, you cannot apply to WAEC for an attestation or statement of results?? |
erico2k2:You obviously lack comprehension skills. Go back and read the link you provided. The WAEC official stated that the exam was jointly conducted by WAEC and Cambridge. He then specifically said he cannot talk about the document of Cambridge, as he is not an official of Cambridge but can talk about that of WAEC. He then listed out the result obtained by the president from WAEC records. It seems your reading did not see this part right? |
tuniski:The person that signed, signed as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Cambridge. Has the renowned university denied the document and the person that signed? |
Takeproft:Which evidence again? The sch in Katsina still has the records. WAEC, Nigeria said he sat for the exams. Cambridge, UK said he sat for the exams. He had picture of himself and his classmates including sch officials dating back to 1961. His classmates then, said he completed the sec sch, they regularly come to visit him in Daura. Which other evidence do u want? |
Takeproft:You were the invigilator right? For you to know with certainty who sat and who didn't sit for the exam. |
