it's no big deal, just change the port apache listens on.

Open httpd.conf

look for the string Listen, and change it from 80 to 81 or 8080 or any port you want apache to listen on. So, if you want to access apache, open a web browser and type

http://localhost:8080

That's all there is to it.

Thanks for your input. I am not aware that mysql license doesn't allow you run it for commercial purposes. I do know that mysql has an enterprise edition that you pay for and a free opensource version that anyone can download and use.

Postgresql is free and it's license allows you to use it in commercial circles. I will try firdbird soon.

I do shotokan karate - I am under the British martial arts federation of Ghana. I have been practicing for the last 9 months. Prior to that, I am a green belt tawendo holder. I must stress that karate is not only about fighting as most people thing but about discipline, healthy living and commitment. You breathing is very important in karate so is your stance. I also practice shoryuken karate, which is a form of Judo and Aikido; it is a close sport and defensive form of karate, it is mainly about twisting and slamming your opponent.

I intend to branch into Chinese form of martial arts pretty soon, probably Chinese Kempo or Kung Fu. To all sensei's in-house, I say -HOOOSSSSSSSS!!!

It's a pity that most people think allah the muslim god and the christian God are the same. Most of you have touched the subject on the surface, you think it's just in a name and our mode of worship are different. But like stimulus said How could two faiths that have different beliefs at the same time become the same?.

A simple example to show that the muslim god is different from the christian God. Look at the where both religion faithfuls will spend eternity. In Islam - it's a wild sex orgy (what about the women)?

In the christian heaven, it's about worship and unity with God. So, if the two gods were the same - how come they propose different heavens?

In all fairness, if indeed christianity is a pagan religion, how come by the name of Jesus, blind muslims eyes are open, deaf muslim ears are open, crippled muslims can walk? Or abi your all powerful allah, the founder of the "true" religion can't heal them?

Jesus was crucified, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven, it was the talk of the town and recorded and attested by many people. Yet 600 years later - islam came out and said it was a lie.

Now tell me - who is foolish? The koran claims that it was there before the beginning of the world, that everything in it is perfect; if that was so, how come allah forgot to inform his muslim faithfuls that Jesus was raised from the dead and that at the name of Jesus, every knee must bow?

Everytime the subject of violence in Islam comes to light, muslims try to so hard to justify the ills in islam by saying things like christians feel they are superior or better.

belloti - you can believe in anything you want to believe in, we really don't care but don't kill people when serving your god. And to think that you will endorse the murder of a fellow Nigerian shows the true colour of your religion, your personality and your way of life.

It's sad that in this day and age - a book will instigate the murder of human life, it's more saddening whe n you or your religious heads don't condemn it, apologize for it and make amends. Your statements clearly shows that you support the killing of the innocent woman. All these boil down to the fact that, the very same attitude of muslims is the same as it was centuries ago - violent and wicked.

I do know that there are honest muslims that condemn such acts outright but it you structinize them more closely, they are either knowingly or unknowingly disobeying the koran because the instruction to kill non-muslims run through your holy book and that is what inspired those young muslim women to kill their christian teacher.

Our company was co-locating a few servers for one of the biggest banks in Ghana - all their servers run Oracle. I found out that it's not because of security or anything but realiability - oracle is realiable. It does come at an expensive price though

Thank you for your post, I share your thoughts and views passionately. Jesus said we should turn the other cheek 70 * 70 times, who knows - with all the assult on christiandom over the ages, we can be nearing 4,900. I am to valuable a child of god to be killed or sacrificed to a god called allah. It's either I will send alot of muslim faithfuls to the islamic heaven (I will be doing them a favor anyways - for them to meet em' numerous virgins)when I am attacked or I will pray that I will never be put in such a situation.

I strongly believe you can track anyone, it may be hard but you can. It will be easy in places that have laws and policies like in the US, UK, Japan etc. It will be hard in places like Nigeria because there are security policies in place. If the government passed a law to all ISPs in the country demanding to give the name of their client when they notice a crime - then we can easily track a lot of things.

As a closed-source program, you can handle it in several ways. First of all, what type of closed-source app is it?. If it is a web app that runs off a server, I don't see how pirates can see the source code as the server will process the app before returning it to the client, much like php, jsp and asp.

If it's a stand-alone app that installs on a computer - you can package it as an exe

It's a good thing we have this forum. Now we can see the true nature of islam, where people support the killing of others that don't share their faith.

I will say it again, violence in islam is spiritual and it's real. The thirst for blood running through the koran and the instruction to kill makes you wonder whether the god of the koran is a loving and peaceful god.

I now know how to deal with muslims in general - hold my M16 up when they shout their Allah mantra and lower it when they smile.

They won't condemn anything - When 9/11 happened, the Saudis sent the then Mayor of New York over 10 million US dollars and several cars - that's their way of saying, we have the right to kill you but you don't have the right to cry.

All these things peeves me so much. Our fellow humans kill others in the name of a god. Which god is this that inspires muslims to kill others? Why is it that we don't hear buddist killing people from other religion or christians chopping off traditional worshipper heads? WHY?. It is only Islam that has killing problems? When a muslim kill someone and you ask why - they say the killers are extremist, our question is this - where did these extremist get their extreme views from? or is there an extreme version of the koran? So, where is the peace they are talking about?

If you have millions of dollars and want a package such that no matter what happens, if your server crashes, you will be able to get your data - go for oracle.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it but you haven't made any practical suggestion to check this appalling way of life of "extremism in islam".

I have always said that if I was in power of some sort, I will give unto others what they give me. It is how you react to a situation or problem that greatly determines how you tackle and solve that problem. Let me give you some examples, during the 34 Lebanon-Isearli war last year July, when Isreal was attacked, did it fold it hands? No!. As much as it seeked peace on several levels, it made it point clear because it knew the nature of the enemy it was dealing with. When you deal with negative forces, you stand firm, for the bible says "It is violence that taketh it by force", we should pray vigilently alright but we should not fold our hands and be slaughtered like rams. I am not saying we should attack anyone, I am saying that to check these kind of behaviours, you have to employ strict measures.

The issue of violence in islam is very touchy, we can talk about it for ages but you can't change a way of life about millions of people by just talking but by taking constructive and concrete decisions and actions. Jesus Christ is taught as peace and every christian live it and you see it in their lives, in islam, violence is taught as a way of life and that is the way they live.

To tell you the truth, I really don't care what everyone believes in, you can worship a stone for all I care but please, don't throw them at me, when you do; I wouldn't only dodge them but I will throw bigger ones back too.

Call me a fanatic - but that was how hitler was defeated!. Not by folding arms but my reacting and reacting HARDER!

I said it and I will say it again - get books, get a computer at least, try and experiment, research, ponder, ask questions, don't limit yourself, be focused and push hard. If you honestly do that - you will arise above your peers and be a problem solver and solution giver.

I am still using it and I enjoy it. With all the super computers we have around these days, speed is not an issue.
