alexleo: I went to see my elder sister and her hubby on tuesday evening. As I was there, a church(Lord's Chosen) on their street was holding a service and the speakers blasting around the area(as usual among Nigerian churches). I was baffled to hear the leading minister telling them to pray against all their enemies, that madness and poverty should befall them and their children's children up to their fourth generation. Come and hear the volume of prayers. What sort of rubbish is going on in churches? Now when they started singing, here are the words of their song- "the God of my pastor's power, answer me". This really got me worried and sad. Is this what Jesus said we should do? Brethren how do we arrest this ugly developments in the end time church? Things are getting out of hand. Meanwhile Jesus is coming soon.

CATCHYBLOGGER: I understand your argument. Literally speaking, He is not the only god. But according to Christianity and Judaism, He is the true God. Some of His children are fighting to overthrow His government, with the prominent ones declaring themselves gods and goddesses in the process thereby provoking his jealousy and anger. The day He finally looses His cool (according to Christianity), He will take care of the rebellion once and for all. Let's assume His love for his children still outweighs the jealousy you are talking about.

After 7 pages I still don't know "what Seun believes". I know he said that he left faith, because it failed him. He stated that. Someone said he is an atheist and an agnostic. Seun did not say either. Another comment was that he is a Muslim. Seun did not say he is, or isn’t. Perhaps you, Seun, feel it is not our business. I can live with that. Is it possible, Seun, to at least acknowledge that it is not? I admit I am curious. Obviously there are others who are also curious. However, I am willing to accept that it is not my business to know.

Now, if you do not mind telling us what you believe. Hmmm…I just realized, I don’t even remember the original question. So here it is. The question was not “What do you believe.”

What or who do you worship?

Simple questions: Tell us it is none of our business, or answer please. Perhaps you simply choose not to. That is a cop-out. At least, “It’s none of your business" is a stand. Have you ever heard the phrase: ‘If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.

bigfrancis021: That is a very erroneous belief to take into the afterlife when you die. In your soul state you've always known the truth that you're immortal. That you've been made to forget your immortal existence doesn't mean that life doesn't exist beyond death. Be careful with this belief of yours especially when dying because whatever beliefs you harbor about the afterlife while alive and whatever you expect to see after death are what you see immediately you die. If you believe life ends at death, when you die all you'll see initially will be nothingness, the existence of nothing. You'll find yourself lost, groping around aimlessly in some massless place. Its only an illusion however for if you change your belief right immediately and expect to see something else, say a fairy land , it appears right before you. Don't harbor this belief and carry it into the afterlife only to be welcome into an illusion of nothingness while you spend eons of time groping around endlessly in it because you believe its what lies after death while your other mates with strong beliefs in heaven and the afterlife will die and enter heaven as expected. And maybe by the time you realize that your belief was erroneous, eons of time might have been wasted away in your illusion while your mates in earth may have died, reincarnated again twice, maybe thrice and progressed way more than you.
