My elder sister was put in a family way 16 years ago. The guy responsible, his family rejected the pregnancy Infront of my family .

We took her in, cared for her and she gave birth to a lovable baby girl . Dam, she is so pretty and was well loved.

She grew to become my pet . I loved her with all my heart. Infact we all loved her .

My elder sister is married . She has told her daughter that her present husband is her father when she start asking questions.

She is done with her secondary school and currently running a fashion design program . I planned on sending her to the Uni once she is done with her program .

Just got on phone with my sister now and she is telling me that , the dude that got her pregnant family has been disturbing her to allow them access to the girl . That they are ready to train her to any level .

And she is considering telling her daughter the truth about her birth .

Can you imagine the nonsense. I have warned her not to do that not to talk of giving them access and I am currently furious right now . After 16 years of loving this girl, someone is now claiming father .

Please how do I handle this .

Dude sadly nothing to handle here. It all depends on the girl if she wants to see her biological dad or not.

Girls should just be careful not to get preggy anyhow. I know feminists won't like this but many families are bringing up kids for irresponsible men.

These stupid men will later be forming dad, father inlaw, grand dad and what not when food is now ready, all the hard work done by family of the girl.
A friend told me of one case. Almost same situation as OP. Though the boy's family suggested aborting the pregnancy even. Later the girl went behind her mum and family to organise engagement party in her paternal family house.

Yes many families in Lagos live on less than 50k but what kind of existence is it? Is the wife truly comfortable or feel economically secure?

These are things to consider.

A struggling Nigerian guy in Europe returned money about 5 times more than this amount. Over 20 years ago and I saw with my eyes. I have mentioned it here on NL several times over the past 8 years or so.

Nigeria is a big country with all manner of people in it. The good, the bad and the downright ugly.

They would have life insurance on their mortgage, travel insurance etc, while the hotel would have public liability insurance.

The hotel is trying to distance itself from liability. The insurance company will eventually advise them to settle before they get hit with a massive bill if it goes to a court decision.

I responded to the guy who thinks it's all about compensation by the widow hiring a lawyer. You can of course not operate such business in Europe without adequate insurance. It's even illegal.

Liability on the hotel's part can also lead to corporate manslaughter. Of course they would want to deny any liability.

This is very unfair.

They were on a package holiday which in any case would be insured to compensate in such a case like this. They may also have a private travel insurance ( I cannot imagine anyone travelling internationally without one) probably covering death & cost of body repatriation. Any reasonable modern family man living in the West would also have life insurance for his family's sake. Though if covered in the unfortunate case of death abroad depends on type of life insurance.

Not everyone is unprepared to begin fighting for compensation anyhow.

Any detailed investigation needs to be done now that it has just happened. That way any possible fault that may caused it more likely to be found, fresh memories of witnesses and other salient stuff can be better harnessed now. A good legal representative familiar with local laws of Spain is imperative to be involved soonest. The widow has just dine that.

What Nigeria really needs now is to expand its economic base, we need to have more than 10 solid sectors firing all cylinders, i mean sectors that can employ a lot of people, instead of oil being d mainstay of our economy, build infrastructures from revenues from oil while building other sectors, invest in technical education, cut senators wage.... and we'll be alright.

Dude we never ready anything. If not 9ja would be a massive IT/ICT hub. Developing apps, doing IT jobs at cheaper rate than even India, cornering a big junk of the international market sector online.

Just take ICT, healthcare, arts/culture and tourism sectors alone. Drastically improve security, give visa on arrival to most Western countries and see tourism sector boom. Promote Nollywood & film crews from across the world will be coming to film in Nigeria. Consolidate existing tourist destinations.

Connect these places with fast trains. Travelling from Osun-Osogbo sacred groves to see ancient Benin moats/ramparts will be a doddle. From Yankari Game Reserve to ancient city of Kano will be within a few hours of train travel. Instead of losing healthcare manpower to other countries. we can become a medical tourism destination.

A few billion dollars of stolen oil money can achieve all the above.

OP you have a good heart but kindness in this case can be used against you. You just found out a part of your friend's wife's character that your friend may not be aware of yet. A poor attitude to getting money. It makes a woman and in fact anybody quite vulnerable.

If she won't let her hubby know about such cash requests, never send again.

Be aware that she might ask you to send the money into her friend's or sister's account if you tell her your fear is her husband seeing the alerts. That will probably tell you how far she's prepared to go.

If you continue to send her money, she will start telling you how stingy her hubby is and such. The you will be well and truly on your way to bedding her.
