Savagethe21st:Nice. |
Biafrareform:Dude sadly nothing to handle here. It all depends on the girl if she wants to see her biological dad or not. Girls should just be careful not to get preggy anyhow. I know feminists won't like this but many families are bringing up kids for irresponsible men. These stupid men will later be forming dad, father inlaw, grand dad and what not when food is now ready, all the hard work done by family of the girl. A friend told me of one case. Almost same situation as OP. Though the boy's family suggested aborting the pregnancy even. Later the girl went behind her mum and family to organise engagement party in her paternal family house. A Let the girl see her dad. As much you love her and care for her, she is not your daughter. That's life. |
Thanks to Kazeems. The car can better tolerate try and error by our mechanics. ![]() |
akeensbussy:Dude, wedding is one or two days only. Marriage is till the end. How will he run a house on 50K monthly when the wife may not even be working or unwilling to contribute if working? Yes many families in Lagos live on less than 50k but what kind of existence is it? Is the wife truly comfortable or feel economically secure? These are things to consider. Money stress is the biggest single issue in marriage. Some women even cheat up and down just to get extra money. |
Froshloaded:A struggling Nigerian guy in Europe returned money about 5 times more than this amount. Over 20 years ago and I saw with my eyes. I have mentioned it here on NL several times over the past 8 years or so. Nigeria is a big country with all manner of people in it. The good, the bad and the downright ugly. |
Ibime:I responded to the guy who thinks it's all about compensation by the widow hiring a lawyer. You can of course not operate such business in Europe without adequate insurance. It's even illegal. Liability on the hotel's part can also lead to corporate manslaughter. Of course they would want to deny any liability. |

YINKS89:The local law doesn't require them to have a lifeguard as that particular pool is below the pool size that requires a lifeguard. Oyinbo stick to laws. |
Sunofgod:This is very unfair. They were on a package holiday which in any case would be insured to compensate in such a case like this. They may also have a private travel insurance ( I cannot imagine anyone travelling internationally without one) probably covering death & cost of body repatriation. Any reasonable modern family man living in the West would also have life insurance for his family's sake. Though if covered in the unfortunate case of death abroad depends on type of life insurance. Not everyone is unprepared to begin fighting for compensation anyhow. Any detailed investigation needs to be done now that it has just happened. That way any possible fault that may caused it more likely to be found, fresh memories of witnesses and other salient stuff can be better harnessed now. A good legal representative familiar with local laws of Spain is imperative to be involved soonest. The widow has just dine that. |
naijapips04:He's not alone. He might even be better than most other governors. He's at least calm, mobile and not bickering with any Oba or with fellow politicians. Most are not even fit to be ward councillors if Nigeria was a serious country. |
I like your seriousness regarding any future relationship. I hope you meet an equally serious lady. But begin with a girlfriend. Very different from fiancee. Fiancee is with marriage in view and both families in agreement usually. A girlfriend can still have 5 or more other boyfriends alongside you easily. Although money doesn't buy happiness but lack of adequate funds will surely make your marital life miserable. Just how miserable depends on the type of girl. With 50k monthly you are not ready for marriage. No girl wants to be "Lord of the ring" waiting 5 years to marry after engagement. Hustle, save and invest before taking such a big step. It's not just a matter of age and emotional maturity anymore. Economic muscle has become VERY important. |
Chef2000:Dude you miss him more than you think. I believe in his life time he loved you so much. He's gone but you are subconsciously finding hard to move on. Quite normal especially as he died so young. It will pass. Always pray for his soul to rest well. |
Too bad. |
Joyjohn123:Well, some people are telling us he didn't get any debt relief, that he & NOI just dash Paris Club and others $10b. Just like they said there was nothing like fuel subsidy. But they now pay more subsidy than before May 2015. Siddon Look na dog name my brother. |
TUANKU:Just wait. Zombies will soon blame Jonathan, Wike, Fayoshe, FKK and Reno Omokri for the debt. Because Zombies are allergic to truth. ![]() |
sulaak:So you think only men seeking prostitutes will come? Many will be couples and families. Morocco & Tunisia have free visa to tourists from many Western countries. I have enjoyed it many times. No prostitutes ever wanted or needed. In the 1990s, some people in Nigeria opposed GSM because they thought armed robbers will be using it to communicate and operate more easily. ![]() So roadside food & petrol bottle sellers were using mobile phones in Cotonou years before big men began using them in Nigeria. Always harness the positive and strategize against the negative side of things if needs be. |
Hmmmm. OK. |
The number pageants nor be here again o. According to football age crew "this girl must be 39 jor, 19 my foot". ![]() |
kachdviruz:Dude, the "fine" wife you may find may not have enough wife material to make a G-string in her. Many who have been seeking a "fine" wife have found and divorced several fine wives in the last 16 years. But the Elliots are waxing stronger. The hubby seamlessly transiting from acting to politics. She's obviously the original fine lady as long as her hubby is concerned. |
babadey:Madame |
Sunofgod:The chances of being kidnapped, die in a plane crash, road accidents, die by rogue police/soldiers/SARS or being attacked by armed robbers are far higher in Nigeria than in any Western tourist destination. Emergency services were on site within minutes. Something still impossible in 9ja. This was a most unusual accident. A whole market in the middle of Benin City burnt to the ground and the only fire engine available had no water. Fire engine had to come from Warri about 100km away. FYI, hundreds of thousands of diaspora Nigerian families enjoy similar holidays without any incidence. If they died in a Nigerian hotel swimming pool it would hardly make the headlines. Bad belle won't let people bother doing any thorough investigation. Was it not in Nigeria that a British-Nigerian hotel owner was brutally murdered by her staff members in Lagos? The case has since gone silent. |
AtikuMeansJobs:Dude we never ready anything. If not 9ja would be a massive IT/ICT hub. Developing apps, doing IT jobs at cheaper rate than even India, cornering a big junk of the international market sector online. Just take ICT, healthcare, arts/culture and tourism sectors alone. Drastically improve security, give visa on arrival to most Western countries and see tourism sector boom. Promote Nollywood & film crews from across the world will be coming to film in Nigeria. Consolidate existing tourist destinations. Connect these places with fast trains. Travelling from Osun-Osogbo sacred groves to see ancient Benin moats/ramparts will be a doddle. From Yankari Game Reserve to ancient city of Kano will be within a few hours of train travel. Instead of losing healthcare manpower to other countries. we can become a medical tourism destination. A few billion dollars of stolen oil money can achieve all the above. |
Shibaraba: ![]() Abeg no joke with Ondo/Ekiti pouned yam o. Surely not all eat pounded yam that frequently. |
englishmart:He meant he and his suya boys. ![]() |
Creeknigga:Well, with American money from Glazer family in the last ten years, they overtook Liverpool with most EPL titles won. So Woman Disunited fans fear we will win that position back. It took them over 20 years of us not winning it for them to overtake us. ![]() |

Babaheekmat:With three trophies already in the bag in the last 7 months, our new MO is bagging trophies. EPL title next. Now on the home straight. ![]() YNWA! |
Well, well, well, now ladies are venting their spleen here. On an earlier thread on NL today with a married woman bugging her husband's friend for money, we did not see many of the ladies here to comment. Has it occurred to anyone that the cheap girl OP picked up could be somebody's steady girlfriend and investment of many years? Aha I thought not! OP you cheapened yourself with a cheap girl. I guess you deserve the new girl than your girlfriend. Just man up and be totally honest with gf. She has every right to be angry and may want to move on. You will have to accept whatever her decision is. Just hope for the best. I hope you at least used protection if your gf means anything to you. |
Ajax prepares you for total football. Most players who leave Ajax after youth level or early part of senior career make it across Europe. But I believe he wanted to go to a smaller club, make a name for himself before going to a bigger club. But German clubs are a bit unique in that they put discipline, following instructions accurately and hard graft as more important than sheer natural football skills only. They believe those other characteristics can make just an above player achieve great things. Look at the German side that won FIFA WC in Brazil. Probably the most average side to have ever won the cup. |
larryking540:Dude many women can relate. Many of us see such requests routinely. Just that their hubbies are not our friends. Social media has made it to explode to a worrying level. |
alimaa:If that's the case and it wasn't in a life threatening or distressing emergency where your friend was unavailable, you had no business sending her the first one you did. OP you have a good heart but kindness in this case can be used against you. You just found out a part of your friend's wife's character that your friend may not be aware of yet. A poor attitude to getting money. It makes a woman and in fact anybody quite vulnerable. If she won't let her hubby know about such cash requests, never send again. Be aware that she might ask you to send the money into her friend's or sister's account if you tell her your fear is her husband seeing the alerts. That will probably tell you how far she's prepared to go. If you continue to send her money, she will start telling you how stingy her hubby is and such. The you will be well and truly on your way to bedding her. Be VERY careful. |
