Maybe. But there just aren't enough jobs to go round. We now have homes with 7 graduates. A thing of pride for sure but where are they all gonna get jobs?

YNWA always had many fans o. But we didn't have DSTV or internet or viewing centres back then. As kids we supported Liverpool because of John Barnes mostly then. Only very few black top players in top clubs in First Division as Premier League was called back then.

I have never seriously supported any other club since. Except tactically like supporting Wolves to beat Man City today.

But when Arsenal, ManU and Chelsea and lately Man City rose, many went glory hunting. For modern kids, Nwankwo Kano, Babayaro, Mikel Obi, Ihenacho & Moses attracted 9ja fans to those clubs. 9ja supporting their own of course.

You see, many of those people abroad went to study with the hope of returning home to work. I know vet docs, aeronautic engineers, and various people who actually left jobs abroad after training and returned. As far back as 1980s.

Many returned abroad seeing how things were turning out back then. Do you know how many diaspora people set up businesses back home but a combination of dishonest people & poor amenities conspire to ruin them? Never mind remittances from abroad that have helped to reduce poverty in 9ja, pay medical/food bills, pay rent, pay school fees and boost real estate sector.

I know people who were passionate about 9ja like you just 5 to 10 years ago. They invested good money in business in 9ja. Now they want to get out, sorting Canada PR and other destinations for one main reason: future of their kids. They fear for Nigeria's future.

So you cannot dismiss the genuine fear people have. They have been observing the direction Nigeria is travelling for years. If you are quite happy to tough it out, kudos, good on you.

One passionate preacher of "Nigeria will be great" in 2015 has since relocated his family to Europe. After armed robbers terrorized them several times.

Everyone has the right to plan for their future/their kid's future. Wherever they see that future. America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are full of descendants of people who wanted something better for themselves and their future kids. They left the old world/Europe to try the new world.

A few back along that axis, a petrol tanker in front of our car was leaking petrol profusely along as it traveled. With family in the car.

People's effort to alert the driver was unsuccessful. We just prayed that someone doesn't unknowingly light a cigarette in one of the cars/trucks.

If anything untoward had happened some would have said village people used remote to bring him home to finish him off there.

Whereas millions of people across the world visit their country every year. Without any village people involvement.

I have been lucky to get around a bit. So I have seen people from different backgrounds, cultures, religions, sexual orientation, etc. Some of the nicest people I have seen have nothing in common with me on the surface except our common humanity. Some of the worst I have seen are a few of my fellow black people.

The sooner we accept others as they are, let others freely express their opinion even if we politely disagree, the better.

What a beautiful sight. If value were placed on them a conservancy would be set up in the vicinity to help boost the numbers of all the wild life there. It could be turned into a tourist centre since its ten times the size of Lagos, a very good animal conservancy centre needs to be setup there.

Sambisa has been a game reserve for decades. Boko disrupted the whole thing. Although poachers used to mess up there but it was known for its very rich fauna and flora.

Until peace returns to Borno, nothing much can be achieved with conservation Sambisa forest.

I guess we slightly misunderstand the nature of God and his promises to mankind from a Christian perspective.

But he can of course save whomever he desires to save. That he doesn't save each and everyone each time doesn't mean he's non-existent or doesn't care. Who's to say that God doesn't have a far greater reward in store for the deceased than the temporary life here on earth?

True believers were never promised a trouble-free life on earth. Not literally as we interpret Bible verses to mean.

Except Apostle John, brother of James, who wrote the Book of Revelations & Judas Iscariot that killed himself, all the apostles died a violent death.
