Dude so you are returning to village to farm now? Actually a good time. Bush clearing will begin soon. Cassava, watermelon or maize farming will be on point. ![]() If you give up nobody will carry on for you. You must tough it out. You are two applications closer to what you desire. Good luck. |
sammirano:Maybe. But there just aren't enough jobs to go round. We now have homes with 7 graduates. A thing of pride for sure but where are they all gonna get jobs? What's sorely missing is entrepreneurship and innovation for every student in university curriculum. |
DonJayrome:Mediocrity. We do not espouse meritocracy to achieve high standards in things we do. So that's the result. Also, individually many people are not disciplined enough and easily get power drunk.. It's a major society ill. |
emeijeh:YNWA always had many fans o. But we didn't have DSTV or internet or viewing centres back then. As kids we supported Liverpool because of John Barnes mostly then. Only very few black top players in top clubs in First Division as Premier League was called back then. I have never seriously supported any other club since. Except tactically like supporting Wolves to beat Man City today. ![]() But when Arsenal, ManU and Chelsea and lately Man City rose, many went glory hunting. For modern kids, Nwankwo Kano, Babayaro, Mikel Obi, Ihenacho & Moses attracted 9ja fans to those clubs. 9ja supporting their own of course. |
klap4gbens:Dude I respect your optimism. Very touching. You see, many of those people abroad went to study with the hope of returning home to work. I know vet docs, aeronautic engineers, and various people who actually left jobs abroad after training and returned. As far back as 1980s. Many returned abroad seeing how things were turning out back then. Do you know how many diaspora people set up businesses back home but a combination of dishonest people & poor amenities conspire to ruin them? Never mind remittances from abroad that have helped to reduce poverty in 9ja, pay medical/food bills, pay rent, pay school fees and boost real estate sector. I know people who were passionate about 9ja like you just 5 to 10 years ago. They invested good money in business in 9ja. Now they want to get out, sorting Canada PR and other destinations for one main reason: future of their kids. They fear for Nigeria's future. So you cannot dismiss the genuine fear people have. They have been observing the direction Nigeria is travelling for years. If you are quite happy to tough it out, kudos, good on you. One passionate preacher of "Nigeria will be great" in 2015 has since relocated his family to Europe. After armed robbers terrorized them several times. Everyone has the right to plan for their future/their kid's future. Wherever they see that future. America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are full of descendants of people who wanted something better for themselves and their future kids. They left the old world/Europe to try the new world. |
A few back along that axis, a petrol tanker in front of our car was leaking petrol profusely along as it traveled. With family in the car. People's effort to alert the driver was unsuccessful. We just prayed that someone doesn't unknowingly light a cigarette in one of the cars/trucks. If anything untoward had happened some would have said village people used remote to bring him home to finish him off there. Whereas millions of people across the world visit their country every year. Without any village people involvement. |
fohiss:Chai, you wan to kill One Nigeria people? All that sweet oil/blood money? They will rather die eating oil money than get sense that things ain't working for 95% of the population. They will rather see more Saro Wiwas of this world die than sit down to find a lasting solution. If it doesn't 95% favour Northern elite and their crumbs-begging elite fools in the South. Too late Mr Maj. Gen. The country has long been torn apart by religion, corruption, lopsided political appointments, quota system, tribal sentiments and Northern/Fulani sense of entitlement. The elite are feeding on Nigeria's carcass. Each to his tent sooner or later. One day we will have to rebuild it from the ashes. It might be very painful and take a few decades but Rwanda shows that it can be done. |
crazygod:YNWA! |
Palehair:Word! I have been lucky to get around a bit. So I have seen people from different backgrounds, cultures, religions, sexual orientation, etc. Some of the nicest people I have seen have nothing in common with me on the surface except our common humanity. Some of the worst I have seen are a few of my fellow black people. The sooner we accept others as they are, let others freely express their opinion even if we politely disagree, the better. |
Cutie pie. |
Shebi they said it was Saraki frustrating Magu's substantive appointment? ![]() Now it turns out it's internal party/cabal wrangling. Confusionists. |
deuzgreat:OK, Mr Homophilic love-vendor, report yourself to the nearest police station in Nigeria with your gay lover. Better still one in Saudi Arabia. There you will know what homophobic is. ![]() Sure, aside being drilled by a gay lord, you cannot comprehend anything else. ![]() |
RIP. |
deuzgreat:That's exactly the problem with you lot. Anyone with a different opinion is homophobic. What an egoistic sense of entitlement. Dude nobody is entitled to anything. You cannot force feed anyone your way of life. I do not force feed anyone mine. We have a league of pseudo LGBT activists on NL who divulge personal info of people they know off line which some overzealous ones then divulge o line. Shame on you for trying to stifle freedom of speech of others. Saudi Arabia is not Africa. Go and tell Saudi, Russia and Iran to accept your gay ass first before you come and accuse me of being homophobic. ![]() Take your gay activism to Barack Obama forum, who thought the best thing he could do for Africa was gay freedom. When people have way more pressing problems. |
Beremx:They may not know who is fighting who but their intelligence and memory are outstanding. Over a very very long time, they have become used to noises normal to their grazing areas. Areas bigger than Italy. Unfamiliar sounds spook them easily and the matriarch would lead them places she deems safe. Remember that sounds of poachers' guns have been heard in those forests for decades. Yes, elephants are that smart to know. |
healthserve:Sambisa has been a game reserve for decades. Boko disrupted the whole thing. Although poachers used to mess up there but it was known for its very rich fauna and flora. Until peace returns to Borno, nothing much can be achieved with conservation Sambisa forest. I just pray those terrorists do not poison those majestic creatures to spite everyone. |
Palehair:I only say what I have observed. I live in a place where people hid being gay just over a couple of decades ago. Then became gradually open and they can even now marry. Then it became a 'cardinal' sin to disagree with the opinions of gay/LGBT groups. It's now reverse tyranny. Much like feminism. Any small comments earns you a tag of homophobic, misogynist. While women can openly same all men are dogs casually. Maybe people should look at themselves in the mirror first. It seems whoever smells being at advantage won't hesitate to oppress others. Today we blacks suffer racism more than others. If we had all the technology and control of world affairs, we might oppress others just like they do to us now. |
Of course, babariga ghandollarical skills. ![]() These are the saints from heaven ruling 9ja. |
See as the lady rushed to judge the deceased. Granted that lots of ladies of that age, many of them single mothers, do street Hustle. But she could have been murdered by a random killer for any reason not related to hustling. RIP. |
Paseus:The place seems a fertile ground for such nefarious activities. The number of bank robberies reported in the state in the past few years is alarming. To think that many probably came from outside the state is scary. How do you catch those people from faraway? |
YINKS89:Maybe they deceived him with that assurance to lead the gang. Same with charms they give them claiming that police will go in opposite direction or some other outrageously superstitious stuff when they hold the charms in operation. ![]() |
dochenaj:We ain't talking of classification sir. I just advise rookies who may find it confusing at first to see it that way. Of course there are fine differences when it comes to the nitty gritty of it. In terms of atrial contraction for example. Certainly not an answer you'd give under the watchful eyes of the examiner. Your ECG pretty much tells you what it is these days although nothing can replace accurate human interpretation. About 15 years ago, I witnessed two eminent professors disagree on an ECG interpretation. One of them with several books on cardiology to his name. An authority on arrhythmia even. |
Blueelf:So you mean Woman Disunited fans are getting SVT, VT and VF? Chai, even fear of LFC is enough to cause LBBB. ![]() Luckily enough I know LFC fans who are superb cardiologists. They help our rival fans. |
Tflex01:At Anfield, they are coming to what Germans call a "Hexenkessel". Literally means a witch's cauldron. ![]() Na to boil dem chop for dinner with rain of goals. By the time we finish with them they would wish they only had a nightmare. But it will be reality. I like ManU fans' optimism sha. It's all they have left anyway. |
Germandude30:First remind yourself why you need to resist eating meat. Why it's important to you. Better diet/health, a new resolution, etc? Choose your alternative to meat like fish. You can even try moving from red meat to chicken/turkey. Maybe once or twice a week. If resisting eating to much meat during this festive season, just keep it in the freezer for a few days or give out to friends. Unless you want to turn vegan totally. Then you just have to face it head-on and give up. |
Riele:Sorry/condolences for the loss of your friend. I guess we slightly misunderstand the nature of God and his promises to mankind from a Christian perspective. God is not there to babysit us or monitor the minutest thing we do so that we do not come to harm. He gives us free will and in the process exercising it many things can happen. But he can of course save whomever he desires to save. That he doesn't save each and everyone each time doesn't mean he's non-existent or doesn't care. Who's to say that God doesn't have a far greater reward in store for the deceased than the temporary life here on earth? True believers were never promised a trouble-free life on earth. Not literally as we interpret Bible verses to mean. Except Apostle John, brother of James, who wrote the Book of Revelations & Judas Iscariot that killed himself, all the apostles died a violent death. I believe one central message is that death is not the end, but a temporary state of being until the last day. |
Palehair:Dude, I work with many openly gay people. So I know a gay person when I see one. I just said the guy looks gay and one bitter guy began saying homophobic. If a guy is gay and proud as they claim, why would a random Nairalander carry it on his head like gala? |
donoro:CONFAM dude. YNWA. |
deuzgreat:Hahahaha. I did not study in a shithole. Cram and regurgitate stuff. I never knew EU trained peeps also do those nonsense exams. Your ignorance stinks to high heavens. But that's what bitterness does to people. ![]() You must have very sad existence to wish others failure. They probably rejected your visa application. Pele. Try again. But be honest this time. Sorry that you were not fortunate enough to be entitled to red pale. There are many not entitled to one but still live a happy meaningful life. Pele. I pray for all those who have to do any exams to get to their destination massive success. Amen! |
Dcaliphate:The gay lord here called Deuzgreat implies that we have no right to mention the word "gay" or say that someone is gay. First they said they were forced to be closet gays. Now that can spot them and acknowledge it, it's also a problem. Deuzgreat is even forming "Nobel Prize winner" in Literature, stalking anyone who mentions gay. He must have a gargantuan ego. His mates are doing robotic surgery, creating useful apps, doing cutting edge research but he is busy doing English language police in poverty. ![]() What I find most irritating about many gay people is their overzealousness to force their lifestyle and opinion on everyone. Then label everyone homophobic. Pathetic. |
